Abstract

Tools as media play an important role in learning physics to explain concepts, so that students can more easily build mastery of physics material and develop their skills. This study aims to design and realize a physics learning tool. The method used is research and development (Research and Development). This learning tool is in the form of a plane where the direction of the object's trajectory varies can move up, down, and is accompanied by a slope setting (30˚, 45˚, 60˚ or 90˚). Equipped with a speed output setting program based on 3 points whose speed will be measured and the distance between the points can be changed. Its function is to understand and prove the law of conservation of mechanical energy, understand the relationship between potential energy and kinetic energy experienced by objects and determine the speed of objects and their height position. This learning tool is expected to attract students' interest in learning physics. The design of this KIT Law of Conservation of Mechanical Energy can prove the conservation of mechanical energy. When an object is moving downwards, the object's height decreases but its velocity increases. On the other hand, if the object is moving upwards, the height of the object will increase, but the velocity of the object will decrease. This tool still has a relative error rate of 23.92% in free fall motion, 31.87% in falling motion on an inclined plane, and 32.79% in vertical upward motion.©2021 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Abstract

Essential oils from the stems of citronella and clove leaves contain chemical compounds, namely citronellal, eugenol, and geraniol, which function as mosquito killers. This study aims to make essential oils from fragrant lemongrass stems and clove leaves using the distillation method. Characteristic tests were carried out in the form of determining color, density, aroma resistance, and mosquito repellency of essential oils. The results of the color determination test showed that the essential oil from clove leaves was more brown in color and the density was greater than the essential oil from the citronella stem oil, while the durability of the aroma in the citronella oil was longer than that of the clove leaf oil. In testing the repulsion of mosquitoes, observations were made for 20 minutes to determine the number of dead mosquitoes, then the value of repulsion (DT) was calculated using probit analysis. The results of the mosquito repellent test showed that the DT value of the essential oil from the citronella stem was 60%-67%, the essential oil from the clove leaf was 54%-60%, while the mixture of the essential oil from the citronella stem and clove leaf was 67%-80 %. This shows that the essential oil from a mixture of citronella stems with clove leaves is able to kill mosquitoes better than only essential oils from citronella stems or clove leaves.©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Abstract

Bokashi is a fermented rice straw. It is widely used as an organic fertilizer in Indonesia. It maintains the porosity of the soil, so the plant can grow perfectly. Rabbit urine on the other hand can be used as another nitrogen source. However, there is no report about the effect of both combination in shallots production (Allium ascalonicum L.), one of the main commodities in Magelang. For a better understanding on bokashi and rabbit urine, this experiment aims to study about its addition on the stem growth of shallots. Four dosages of rice straw bokashi were used. There are B0 (0kg/plot), B1 (3 kg/plot), B2 (4 kg/plot), and B3 (5kg/plot).  While the concentration of rabbit urine are P0 (0 mL/L), P1 (175 mL/L), and P2 (250 mL/L). The growth of the stem is measured every one week until it reached the full growth. This study showed that the addition of bokashi hinder the stem’s growth. It turned out that too many bokashi will raise the temperature of the soil and inhibit the plant’s growth.©2021 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

Pseudo-differential operator in a function space is obtained from the Fourier transform of this function space with a multiplier function. This paper will discuss and prove the boundedness of pseudo-differential operator in Lebesgue space with the multiplier function is in the class S0. The evolution of the pseudo-differential theory was then rapid. Based on development from this history, it has gave birth to the general definition of pseudo-differential operator that explain in this paper The general definition of pseudo-differential, of course has an applied or representation. One of them is the problem of partial differential equations in the Poisson equation  have the solution , and using Fourier transforms is obtained. In this case the form can be carried in the general form of a pseudo-differential operator. The  solution can be estimated for every if operator  is a bounded operator. In this paper, the operator defined with correspondes some symbol that describe this operator is more interest. The conclusion of this paper is the boundedness pseudo-differential operator , so we can estimated this number.©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

One of the diseases that attack the lungs is pneumonia. This disease can attack someone with a weak immune system. Pneumonia is inflammation of the lungs that can be caused by pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi. The purpose of this study was to classify fungal pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia, and lipoid pneumonia based on texture characteristics and the MLP method using machine learning WEKA. The method in this study has three stages including pre-processing, extraction of texture features consisting of Histogram and GLCM, and classification using the MLP (Multi Layer Perceptron) method. The results of the texture feature extraction showed that the three types of pneumonia were: lipoid pneumonia with brightness, sharp contrast random distribution on correlation characteristics, bacterial pneumonia with high brightness, high contrast random distribution on energy characteristics, and fungal pneumonia with brightness, sharp contrast, random distribution of homogeneity attributes. The third similarity of pneumonia is in the gray level that collects each other in the middle. The method used in this study resulted in the same accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity, namely 100%. The image classification in this study shows the success of the texture features and the MLP method in classifying pneumonia images accurately so that they can be used as additional tools that make it easier for medical experts.   ©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo.
