Abstract

Scheduling problems are problems that are often faced by educational institutions, especially at the university level. This is because there are several obstacles in the preparation of the schedule, namely first, there should be no duplication of space, day, and hour. Second, there should be no duplication of lecturers on the same day and time, even though in different rooms and in different subjects. Third, there should be no duplication of group classes (study groups). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to obtain a genetic algorithm as a solution in overcoming the three constraints of preparing the schedule by using the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) method in the crossover process. To make it easier to organize the schedule, a 3-dimensional matrix is used with the x-axis representing (space, day, hour), the y-axis representing (courses, lecturers, credits) and the z-axis representing (classes). This study simulates the scheduling of 20 courses, 50 credits, 8 lecturers, and 19 classes. Chromosomes in this study are permutations of integers 1-20. Each gene in a chromosome represents a course package. From the scheduling results, the fitness function is 0.96 for 48 schedule slots (2 rooms x 3 days x 8 hours). For schedule slots greater than 50 (3 rooms x 3 days x 8 hours, 2 rooms x 4 days x 8 hours, and 2 rooms x 3 days x 9 hours), this algorithm is successful in getting fitness function 1. ©2018 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Abstract

Edible Oil has a fairly high economic value. Cooking oil is generally used for cooking. With the condition of oil prices increasing so many times it is necessary to recycle again so as not to pollute the environment. Used cooking oil has a lot of high free fatty acid content, so it is necessary to reduce fatty acids by using absorbent ingredients. Sugarcane bagasse can be used as a purification ingredient of used cooking oil by soaking. This study aims to determine the level of soaking bagasse against free fatty acid numbers. Variable immersion for 0 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours. The results of the percentage of Free Fatty Acid (ALB) levels after done, soaking time for 0 hours is 0.36%, 24 hours is 0.34%, 48 hours is 0.33%, and 72 hours is 0.29%.©2019 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Abstract

ZnO:Ga thin films grown on a corning glass substrate by the DC Magnetron Sputtering method have been successfully grown. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of plasma power on the resulting thin film structure. The quality and structure of the films were studied using X-ray duffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Based on XRD characterization, it was found that the ZnO:Ga thin film has a hexagonal wurtize structure on the C-axis with orientation planes (002) and (101). The quality of the resulting thin films can also be seen from the value of full-width at half maximum (FWHM) in the orientation plane (002) which increases with increasing plasma power during the growth process from 0.13°- 0.16°. The larger the FWHM value, the smaller the crystal grain size so that the structure becomes less good. This is supported by the surface morphology of the film which is less dense when the plasma power increases. ©2018 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

Conventional plastics made from polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinylchloride (PVC), polystyrene, and poly (ethylene terephthalate) are difficult to decompose. Bioplastics can reduce the amount of toxic waste generated from biological materials other than petroleum.  The combination of cassava pulp and chitosan can be used as a candidate for the manufacture of biodegradable plastics. The optimal drying temperature can produce biodegradable plastics that have good quality. The method used to determine the effect is the mechanical properties test with ASTM D-638M standard and degradation test. The results of this study obtained 6 samples of biodegradable plastic with variations in temperature A=40˚C, B=50˚C, C=60˚C, D=70˚C, E=80˚C and F=90˚C. From the results of the mechanical properties test, the tensile strength values of each sample are A = 0,84 MPa, B = 1,78 MPa, C = 2,24 MPa, D = 1,58 MPa, E = 1,23 MPa and F =0,57 MPa. While the percent elongation value of each sample is A = 11,09%, B = 21,62%, C = 30,25%, D = 15,94%, E = 13% and F = 7,2%. The drying temperature in the process of making biodegradable plastics can affect its mechanical properties, namely the higher the drying temperature used, the lower the tensile strength value and the percent elongation, this is because high temperatures can damage the chemical structure and evaporated sorbitol which serves to increase flexibility. The higher the drying temperature also causes the biodegradable plastic to take longer to degrade. Sample A with the lowest temperature degraded the fastest for 28 days, while sample F with the highest temperature degraded the fastest for 46 days.©2021 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.

Abstract

Coronavirus 2019  (COVID-19) has significantly impacted Indonesia. Social restrictions in Indonesia's major cities and rural areas have been put in place as the coronavirus spreads. The Indonesian government is more vigilant with the spread of COVID-19, namely by issuing a lockdown policy to PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions). Almost all Indonesian people have complied with the guidelines set by the government, namely carrying out all activities in a WFH manner to minimize the chain of distribution of COVID-19 in Indonesia. The author of this work forecasts the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in the East Java region using the Cheng Fuzzy Time Series approach. After checking the simulation with real in the field, it can be seen that using 51 data starting from February 4 2021 to March 26 2021 gives results MAPE = 0.4602%, which means the forecasting is very accurate.©2021 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. Abstract

Anaemia is a condition where blood red blood levels or haemoglobin is lower than normal values. More than 50% of cases of anaemia are spread throughout the world. One of checks to diagnose anaemia is examination of haemoglobin levels. Examination of haemoglobin levels can be determined by several methods, namely the Sahli’s method, the Cyanmethemoglobin method manually and by automatic method. Examination of haemoglobin levels with a of more than 5 minutes incubation time leads to inaccurate results. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of incubation time on the results of haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method. This type of research is experimental research to determine the effect of the incubation time on the results of haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method. The population in this research is outpatients with a diagnosis of kidney failure at Gatoel Hospital, Mojokerto, in March 2019. The number of examination samples is 9 samples which is carried out at the Gatoel Hospital Laboratory, Mojokerto. The results of this research show that the average haemoglobin incubation rate of 5 minutes is 7,52 g/dl, incubation of 20 minutes is 7,18 g / dl, and incubation of 30 minutes is 7,04 g / dl. The conclusion of this research is that there is no effect on the delay in incubation time on the results of the haemoglobin level examination of the Cyanmethemoglobin method.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the transmission of the Zika virus a mathematical model that was introduced by Ding, Tao, and Zhu (2016). Based on the analysis, obtained a disease-free equilibrium point, then the stability is seen from the basic reproduction number. The basic reproduction numbers show supporting factors and inhibitors of transmission of Zika virus. Then looking for optimal control, the principle is to control transmission of the Zika virus through reducing interactions between mosquitoes and humans, transmission from infected mosquitoes to susceptible humans, and estimates of mosquito deaths by being given insecticides. With the optimal control solution obtained, it produces a strategy to prevent and control the Zika virus and does not incur expensive costs.©2020 JNSMR UIN Walisongo. All rights reserved.
