Abstract

The development of progress in the field of science and technology, especially in terms of communication and information technology, as well as the influence of cultural elements in the era of globalization, has a significant impact on the environment and society. This impact affects people's outlook on life, behavior, values, and even personality. In the current context, education needs to develop individuals who are able to adapt to these advances and become creative and productive human beings. Education in Indonesia is still focused on cognitive aspects and academic values, while important aspects of emotional intelligence are rarely considered. Emotional intelligence is an individual's ability to recognize, understand, manage, and direct their own and others' emotions positively and productively. This research uses qualitative research methods with data analysis through literature studies. The results of this study that emotional intelligence involves managing emotions, self-awareness, motivation, and the ability to manage interpersonal relationships. The concept of emotional intelligence was first introduced by Daniel Goleman. In the context of education, the development of emotional intelligence becomes important in addition to intellectual intelligence. Emotional intelligence can be developed through daily coaching. By examining the concept of emotional intelligence in the perspective of Islamic education, it is hoped that Islamic education can play a role in overcoming educational problems and help develop individual emotional intelligence holistically.

Abstract

 In order to help EFL students grasp the simple past tense in writing skills for recount texts, this study intends to provide students perspectives on using the Grammarly application as an online grammar checker. The qualitative approach was used   together with a narrative inquiry research design. In depth interviews employed a method of data collection. The research participants were two female English Education Department students and a male student of English Department at two different universities in Central Java, Indonesia, in the academic year 2022-2023. The study's findings indicate that every participant thought using the Grammarly application to write recount texts helped them learn how to use the simple past tense. It boosts students in composing recount text, because the function as automated writing evaluation feedback. It means that Grammarly application can minimize writing anxiety, even if they encounter certain challenges when utilizing the application.

Abstract

The development of character in primary school learners is a fundamental aspect of education that lays the groundwork for future moral and ethical behavior.  Teachers, as the primary pillars in the learning process, hold a critical responsibility in shaping the character of primary school learners.  The complexity of the teacher's role as a model in character education necessitates a comprehensive understanding and evaluation of their influence.  This study aims to provide a new contribution by offering a more general and conceptual exploration of the role of teachers in strengthening character among primary school learners. The focus of this approach is to analyze the Role of Teachers according to UU No. 14 Tahun 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, the integration of character values in learning, teacher practices, and the impact of teacher behavior on students.  This study employs qualitative methods through relevant literature review. Using a descriptive-holistic approach, the research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic.  The results of the study are in the form of an analysis of the role of teachers as role models in strengthening positive character in elementary school students in accordance with Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers. How the role of teachers can be a model in strengthening positive character in elementary school students. The efforts that primary school teachers make in their roles reinforce positive character in students, both inside and outside the classroom.

Abstract

This study compares results from several sources published between 2016 and 2024. The method used is PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis). This research includes an analysis of the title, abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions from the included sources. The research results have an average effect size of 1.36 in the high category. The high effect size shows that using snakes and ladders learning media effectively improves mathematics learning achievement in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research investigates technology integration in Islamic boarding school education at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Blokagung, Banyuwangi. The aim is to understand the implementation of social media for da'wah and education, technology-based assessment systems, and library digitalization in the context of Islamic boarding schools. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Blokagung, involving teaching staff, Islamic boarding school managers and students as the main informants. Data collection techniques will be collected through interviews and participatory observation in daily activities at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Blokagung. The research results show that integrating technology with traditional values ​​can improve the quality of education and expand the positive impact of Islamic education in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and map the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Challenges of the Islamic Community Development Study Program at the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at UIN Alauddin Makassar to become a superior accredited study program. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that: 1) The strengths of the Islamic Community Development study program include the availability of formal governance and governance system documents, the availability of formal organizational structure documents, and the availability of valid evidence that includes credibility, transparency, accountability, responsibility and fairness. 2) The weaknesses of the Islamic Community Development study program are the lack of competent teaching staff, limited curriculum, limited facilities, lack of funding, and minimal collaboration with external parties. 3) Opportunities for the Islamic Community Development study program include developing a relevant and innovative curriculum, collaborating with leading institutions, using digital technology, training and competency development. 4) The challenges of the Islamic Community Development study program are limited human resources, limited funding, limited infrastructure and facilities, curriculum challenges, competition with other study programs, bureaucratic and regulatory obstacles, challenges in research and publication.
