Abstract

This research aims to determine community participation in their contribution to developing tourist attractions. This qualitative research method with a case study approach involves key informants and ordinary informants. Data collection can be done through observation and interviews. Data analysis takes the form of a process of analyzing interview results, observations and documentation results. The results of the research can be concluded that those involved in developing the Sajuta Janjang tourist attraction area were the people there, especially Jorong Tabek Sarik'an, as well as several elements from the local government. The development of tourist attraction area started with public awareness. The reasons why the community participates in the development of the Sajuta Janjang tourist attraction area can be divided into two, namely from an economic and social perspective. The efforts made include the formation of an agency by the nagari government so that the development of the Sajuta Janjang tourist area runs smoothly and the formation of a buek arek judicial institution to protect local communities and tourists from wrongdoing.

Abstract

Popular culture leads to the creation of culture that is produced and presented in large quantities with the help of production, distribution and mass access technologies so that it is easily accessible to the public. This research aims to answer the motivation of the millennial generation in choosing creative jobs and explain that these jobs are a sign of the existence of popular culture in the city of Padang. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach with snowball sampling. Data was collected through literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. Theresearch results illustrate the motivation of the millennial generation in choosing creative work in the form of ideals, talents and means of self-development. In a broader scope there is economic motivation and opportunities to develop in the future with the work they are involved in. Their behavior that prioritizes balance between work and doing other things outside of work (work-life balance), being a role model and reflection, and maintaining popularity is the behavior that gives birth to and maintains popular culture.

Abstract

The choice of nature as a space for exploration, including mountains, sea and rice fields in the creation of works of art is because nature is an entity that cannot be separated from human life. The creator of this work uses observation and experimentation methods to be able to visualize nature through landscape photography. This research method is descriptive qualitative by analyzing the contents of photos and compositions. The research steps include preferences, experimental analysis and detour analysis. The choice of nature as a space for exploration, including mountains, seas and rice fields in the creation of works of art means that nature is an entity that cannot be separated from human life. Within the framework of photography techniques, it can give birth to a variety of imaginations when explored, especially through the art medium of photography.

Abstract

Hotels are one of the considerations for visitors to a city. Riche Hotel is one of the hotels in Malang City which was awarded a cultural heritage building by the Malang City Government. This research uses a qualitative approach, with descriptive research methods. The data collection and analysis technique uses the concept of source triangulation, namely by conducting interviews with 3 informants from Riche Hotel Malang. This research aims to explain the rebranding strategy carried out by Riche Hotel Malang via Instagram. The research results show that Riche Hotel Malang carried out 4 stages of rebranding, namely repositioning by introducing Hotel Riche Malang as a contemporary, family-friendly and strategic hotel. Then at the renaming stage there were no changes, as well as redesigning the shape of the rooms, and relaunching by holding a launching event for the new style of Hotel Riche Malang and collaborating with local influencers in Malang City.

Abstract

Department of Public Housing, Residential Areas and the Environment (DPRKPLH) Banjar Regency (2022) the amount of waste entering final disposal sites reached 290 tons per day, an increase of 60 tons compared to the previous year. The Sekumpul Waste Bank in Banjar Regency actively carries out environmental campaigns via social media Instagram about Reuse, Reduce and Recycle. The aim of this research is to analyze new media-based environmental campaigns for community economic empowerment at the Sekumpul waste bank. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were interviews, literature studies and documentation with a total of 2 informants. The data analysis technique uses Manual Data Analysis Procedure (MDAP), namely daily notes, transcripts, coding, categories, themes and memos. The results show that the Sekumpul Waste Bank campaigns for waste management through Instagram posts, holding events and providing material on local radio broadcasts. It is hoped that this environmental campaign can increase community participation in managing waste wisely and with economic value.

Abstract

Introvert stereotypes that has developed in society construct them as flawed personalities. This negative perception is closely linked to the “Extrovert Ideal” which places a higher value on extroverted personalities. Over time, introvert stereotypes have continued to evolve, especially with the widespread of social media usage, like fTikTok. This research aim to explain how introvert discourse developed in TikTok content. This research used a qualitative research methods and a critical discourse analysis technique ofTeun A. van Dijk. The research reveals that there is a discourse of resistance against introvert stereotypes such as introvert as quiet, shy, reclusive, and antisocial individuals, also the stereotype of introvert as an illness. The resistance against introvert streotypes manifest in three ways, satirical comedy, raising social awaress, and asserting introverts self-expression on social media.

Abstract

Communication in a relationship is an important part of building communication between partners and family members. Patriarchal society is an inseparable part of our culture. This culture is deeplyingrained in the social order, to the point that it colors the communication of marital relations, including husband and wife communication, parenting, division of domestic tasks, dominance and power. This study conducts a discourse on the theory of power relations communication by Norah Dubran, this study uses a literature review between dyadic relationship theory in terms of domination and equality with the social order of patriarchal society, to find the relevance of this dyadic theory to the conditions of married couples in a patriarchal society. As well as providing idealrelationship advice in marriage communication.

Abstract

STAHN Mpu Kuturan Singaraja promotes PMB via social media Instagram through digital content creative. The aim of the research is to determine the role of digital content creative in the model used is the Luther model which consists of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution. The method used in this research is pure qualitative descriptive with a phenomenological approach. The theories used include Excellence theory. The research results include the first post using the Two-Way Symmetric model which prioritizes feedback from the community. Meanwhile, the second post also uses the Two-Way Symmetric model. Furthermore, the third post uses the Public Information model, which aims to build public trust through one-way communication. Meanwhile, the fourth post also uses the Public Information model. Next, the fifth post uses the Press Agentry / Publicity model.

Abstract

This research discusses the concept and implementation of halal tourism in the Lake Toba Tourism Area, particularly in Tomok and its surroundings. The research highlights the barriers in implementing the halal tourism concept, especially in non-Muslim majority areas. One of the main obstacles is the fear of losing local wisdom, especially in the area of non-halal culinary, which can trigger local community rejection. However, the research also emphasizes the importance of the halal tourism concept in providing a sense of security and comfort for Muslim tourists, as well as boosting the local economy. The research method involves literature review and data analysis from previous studies, such as Rose Emmaria's research, Kemenparekraf, and other relevant studies. The results show that intensive communication between the government, community, and related parties is key in overcoming resistance to the concept of halal tourism. In addition, clear regulations and involving various parties are also needed to strengthen the implementation of halal tourism.

Abstract

Stereotypes are a perspective that refers to both positive and negative things, but a phenomenon that often occurs is that stereotypes are more inclined towards negative values. The aim of the research is to describe the formation of positive interpersonal relationships. The research method is interviews and observation. The results show that the negative stereotype of rude Buleleng people is not proven, the results have warm and friendly communication. The use of harsh words is usually directed at people who are very close. The use of stereotypes prevents someone from seeing the uniqueness of individual beings. Meanwhile, as a group,it eliminates the individual's right to determine themselves as the formation of a society. Likewise with the stereotype of the Beleleng people, if the difference in ways of communicating is perceived as a positive thing, it will forma positive perception which of course will have an impacton positive interpersonal relations.
