Abstract

The most popular content is about food, thus opening up a livelihood as a food vlogger. This research uses a qualitative approach, with exploratory research methods. The data confirmation technique uses the concept of source triangulation, namely by interviewing several different sources. Tasyi Athasyia's role as an influencer often provides personal views and experiences in consuming certain foods which serve as a source of information for consumers in choosing suitable food products. Tasyi Athasyia's influence as a food vlogger on purchasing food products can also be influenced by other factors such as the target market or certain market segments that are Tasyi Athasyia's audience. A successful influencer marketing campaign can also increase consumer trust in a brand or product, strengthen customer loyalty, and increase productsales. This study also explores the success of influencer marketing campaigns, such as those carried out by Tasyi, in increasing consumer trust in a brand or product.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover the meaning and ideology in the text of the speech as well as uncover the motives of certain interests related to President Joko Widodo's policy of increasing subsidized fuel prices. The method used is explanatory qualitative, the research object used is a transcript of the text of the speech on the increase in subsidized fuel prices on September 3 2022 by President Joko Widodo through triangulation. The results of the research show that in the text of the speech President Joko Widodo mentioned the word protect, but this diction was not in line with the data also conveyed in the text that the increase in subsidized fuel prices was caused by an increase in the APBN and inappropriate targets for subsidized fuel consumption enjoyed by the well-off. These two reasons for the increase in subsidized fuel prices actually illustrate the government's powerlessness in prioritizing the welfare of the people who should be prioritized in obtaining subsidized fuel.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal how the childfree controversy on social media relates to feminism and eastern culture using a review. This research is descriptive qualitative with a virtual research approach using units of analysis in the form of text, images, comments from netizens, as well as news about the childfree controversy which started on social media Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. The results of the analysis of Sara Mills' critical discourse show that the position of netizens is as a subject who provides criticism or support, while the position of actors is as an object in discourse construction. The childfree controversy also has implications for views of feminism and eastern culture, as the finding that childfree views from actors triggers pro and con responses from netizens.

Abstract

The use of language in mass media, especially news programs on television, must follow appropriate linguistic rules in order to maintain the values of politeness and appropriateness, as a spectacle for the general public. However, something different happened to one of the news programs broadcast by JTV, namely Pojok Kampung. Corner Village actually has a typical Suroboyoan linguisticcharacter which is considered very rude, impolite, outspoken, vulgar and egalitarian which can be studied from a linguistic perspective, especially euphemisms and dysphemisms. The methodologyused in this research was the collection of euphemisms and dysphemisms in 39 Pojok Kampung news stories. This research finds out how euphemisms and dysphemisms are accommodated in communication, by looking at the attribution process.

Abstract

The growth of creator content is a sign of how social media is developing, especially Instagram, which ranks fourth as social media with the most users. The presence of Instagram as a new medium is also able to build one's personal branding. Therefore, content creators must try hard to establish their brand image to be known. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The descriptive method is used to find meaning, understanding, understanding of a phenomenon or event by being directly or indirectly involved in the object under study contextually and thoroughly. In this study, we will examine how the visualization of Sisca Kohl's personal branding on her Instagram account @siscakohl. This research refers to three visual research domains production site, self site, and audience site using Gillian Rose's visual methodology. The results of the study show that based on the results of analysis through content uploaded by Sisca on the @siscakohl Instagram account, it fulfills 5 personal branding laws out of 8 personal branding laws according to Montoya. namely specialization (the law of specialization), leadership (the law of leadership), difference (the law of distinctiveness), the law of visibility, unity (the law of unity). Of the 5 personal branding laws from Montoya, the most prominent are specialization (The Law of Specialization) and difference (the law of distinctiveness).

Abstract

This research describes the life of blacksmith craftsmen in Jorong Tangah Koto, leading to a dynamic in the activities they are currently engaged in. This research uses qualitative methods, namely observation data collection techniques and in-depth interviews. Meanwhile, for the selection of informants, purposive sampling was used, namely 2 key informants, blacksmith craftsmen and ordinary informants including the nagari government, the general public and community leaders in Jorong Tangah Koto Nagari Sungai Pua.The results of ethnographic research show that the description of the life of blacksmith craftsmen in Jorong Tangah Koto leads to a dynamic in the activities they are engaged in. The decline in income occurred due to the impact of blacksmith crafts not selling well on the market.

Abstract

This research explains the transfer of land functions that have an impact on the social and economic condition of farming families that occur in the Nagari Guguak VIII Koto, Kecamatan Guguak, Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. The problem in this study is how the form of changes in the socio-economic life of the farming family of farmers after the phenomenon of land transfer and what is the strategy carried out by cultivator farmers as an effort to fulfill needs after the transfer of the function of rice fields. This research uses a qualitative method that is descriptive, and with data collection techniques such as interview, observation, and documentation while at the research site. As for the selection of informants using purposive sampling, namely with key informants as many as six cultivator farmers and three landowners. The results show that with the transfer of function of rice fields has a very significant impact on the social and economic life of the farming family which depends on the results of working on rice fields. The phenomenon of land transfer decrease the economics of the farmers, so that they were required to seek other innovations in order to meet their needs such as breeding and so on.

Abstract

Adapting to a new environment is not easy for some people. Malaysia is a country that many people think has a very similar culture and language to Indonesia which makes many people think that adapting to the culture and language in Malaysia is an easy thing. This research aims to find out how Indonesian students studying at Universiti Sains Malaysia adapt to the culture and language that exist there. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative in which the researcher wants to examine this research without changing the actual conditions of the phenomenon to be researched. This research conducted by the phenomenological method Husserl. The final result of the research obtained from this research is the discovery of varied methods from informants to be able to adapt to culture and communication in Malaysia, to be precise at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Unlike what we expected, the reality faced by the informants in adapting was something that was not so easy, even though the culture and language shared between the two countries were not that far apart.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the values of Stoicism represented in the film "The Shawshank Redemption". The focus of this research is the representation of the philosophical values of Stoicism with objects in the form of scenes, dialogue and stills in the film. The method used in this research is semiotic analysis with a qualitative approach. This research analyzes data documentation in the form of symbols, images, text, and so on through Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics which divides signs based on symbols, objects, and interpretants known as triadic triangles. Based on the results of the analysis, many of Stoicism's wisdom values include wisdom, justice, self-control and courage, reflected through the journey of the main character, Andy Dufresne.

Abstract

GoJek is an example of an innovative technology-based company that has a bigimpact on humans in meeting their needs. One of the services provided by this application is Go-Food, which is an online delivery service on the Gojek application which is used by customers to find and order food. and working with more than 125,000 restaurants in various cities in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to find out or provide an overview of the impact of Go-Food promos on the Gojek application on consumer behavior for users of the application, especially among UM students. This study used a qualitative research method. The data collection method used interview techniques. The results of this study indicate that the promos available on Go-Food services have a minimum purchase, this triggers the emergence of consumptive behavior, consumptive behavior occurs due to a promo on Go-Food services and causes food waste. Food waste certainly doesn't happen suddenly, but there are several influencing factors such as consumptive behavior.
