Abstract

Self-Esteemisthe one's personalfeeling that he/she is valuable oruseful andself-confident that is based onmore than justthe reputation and prestige (Maslow, 1970). Individual, whichin this caseisMuslimfemale student who wear hijab, has higher self-esteemthanMuslim female studentwho does not wear hijab. This is becauseMuslimfemale studentwho wear hijab has been ready to fulfill the obligationin Islam religion, thatis requires to wear hijabin dressingfor women. Muslim female student who does notwear hijab has lower self-esteem because shefeels not ready tofulfill her religious obligation. There fore, researcher sare interested in examining whether thereisa difference between theself-esteemof Muslim female student who wear the hijab and not. This research is a comparative quantitative research whose subjects are Muslim students in Surabaya and Denpasar.  Data were collected using the Self-Pricing scale. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Validity used is the validity of the content (logical and look).  The validity of the aitem moves from 0.3202 to 0.743. Reliability scale Self-esteem is 0.916. Data were analyzed by using Independent sample t-test statistic test.  The result is that there is no difference in self-esteem between Muslim students, both hijab and unlawful as evidenced by their probability value (p) of 0.233 (greater than 0.05).

Abstract

Parental discipline is parent's specific strategies in applying the rules and fosters the values to their children. Mal treatmen phenomenom in child rearing, illustrated that individuals do not have a direction, which is continuosly increasing wisdom and strength of a person's wishes, in order to achieve a closer relationship with Divinity and the universe, which became one of the aspects of spirituality. this present research focused on how dynamic of parents spirituality, in child rearing practices. The result showed that spirituality was a process wich growstrough understanding and experience, so that in practice the discipline, spirituality can enhance positive parenting in practice the discipline when accompanied with the knowledge and skills in practice the discipline of parenting.

Abstract

This research is written  to know the relation between religiosity and academic achievement This research is done by use of correlations research design, by involves 115 respondents. There is statistical testing who will be utilized to test hypothesis that is proposed is `Rank Spearman`. Base acquired statistic result with trusty degree as big as 95% (α = 0, 05) known that correlation coefficient as big as 0,032 by Pv as big as 0,730. It has that mean rejected H1 and H0 accepted, so gets to be said that not available relationship among religious commitment level by academic achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan sosial pada siswa Taman Kanak-Kanak tahfidz. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa dari TK RA Tahfidz Jamilurrahman yang berjumlah 2 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan studi kasus yang mengungkap kasus berdasarkan pengalaman dari orang terdekat dengan subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara semi terstruktur dan observasi semi partisipan saat di sekolah dan di rumah. Validitas data dilakukan dengan metode triangulasi sumber dan waktu pengambilan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk keterampilan sosial pada siswa TK Tahfidz yang muncul dan sesuai dengan ciri perkembangan sosial masa awal kanak-kanak, yaitu kemandirian dari figur ibu, egosentrisme, antusiasme yang impulsif, kegembiraan yang meluap-luap, suka bermain di luar ruangan, kerjasama, malu untuk berbicara dengan orang lain, penurut, dan suka membantu. Adapula bentuk perilaku yang tidak sesuai dengan ciri perkembangan sosial usia subjek, yaitu tidak senang pergi ke sekolah, tidak termotivasi untuk berkompetisi dalam mengerjakan tugas dengan anak lain dan tidak menyukai pekerjaan rumah. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan sosial pada siswa TK Tahfidz di antaranya cara pengasuhan anak, proses sosialisasi awal, teman bermain, dan jenis kelamin. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bentuk-bentuk keterampilan sosial pada siswa TK tahfidz di antaranya kepatuhan, kemandirian, kepekaan terhadap lingkungan, perilaku menang sendiri, perilaku terhadap tugas sekolah dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan sosial pada siswa TK tahfidz, yaitu cara pengasuhan, pengalaman sosial awal, teman bermain, dan jenis kelamin. Faktor baru yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah cara pengasuhan dan pengalaman sosial awal. Kata kunci: keterampilan sosial, siswa TK ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the forms of social skills and factors that influence social skills in Tahfidz Kindergarten students. The subjects of this study were 2 students from Jamilurrahman Tahfidz Kindergarten. The method used was qualitative by case studies that reveal the cases based on the experiences of those close to the subjects of research. Techniques of data collection were done by semi-structured interviews and semi participant observation while at the school and at the home. The validity of the data performed by the method of triangulation and time of data collection sources. The result shows that the forms of social skills in Tahfidz Kindergarten students in accordance with the characteristics of social development in early childhood, are independent of the mother figure, self-centered, impulsive enthusiasm, excitement is overwhelming, like playing outside room, cooperation, embarrassed to talk to other people, obedient, and helpful. The form of behavior that incompatible with the characteristic of social development in early childhood are student does not enjoy going to school, student is not motivated to compete doing tasks with other children, and student does not like homework. Factors that influence social skills in 72 Tahfidz Kindergarten students are parenting, early socialization process, playmates, and gender. The conclusion of this research are the forms of social skills in Tahfidz Kindergarten students including compliance, independence, sensitivity to the environment, selfish behavior, attitudes towards school work and interaction with others. Factors that influence social skills in kindergarten students Tahfidz are parenting, early social experiences, playmates, and gender. Abstract

Orphanage teenagers are teenagers who don’t live with family but live together in orphanage home that is assumed to be less affection and less happy then needs to improve their happiness with patient training. The purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of patient training to improve the happiness of orphanage teenagers in Tlogosari Semarang. The subject of this research are consist of two orphanages located in Tlogosari Semarang, namely PAY Muhammadiyah are consist of 23 children and PAY Nurul Ikhsan are consist of 23 children. The Muhammadiyah group to be an experimental group which for patient training, whereas the Nurul Ikhsan group was not treated but only asked to fill the scale. The happiness scale consist of 8 aspects and 17 items. Patient intervention was given by focus group discussion with 6 cases (corresponding to 6 patient dimensions). The results of this study indicate that the mean experimental group = 50. 3043, whereas the mean control group = 52. 0435. Value t = 1. 409 with df = 22 and significance value .173> 0.05. With the figures of data analysis results, it can be concluded that there is not enough evidence that patient training can improve the orphanage teenager’s happiness in Tlogosari Semarang. Unsuccessful hypothesis of this research is to be expected because religiosity is one of the factor that affect happiness, but it turns out that patient is one of many factor religious teachings. Similarly, the treatment of patient training maybe less intensive so it can’t be the difference between those who are trained and who are not trained. Future research seems to need to replace a patient variable that means hold back replaced with an attribute of gratitude that contains positive emotions. If want to continue using patient as independent variable maybe selected dependent variables such as resilience, adversity intelligence or fortitude.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to find out the correlation between body dissatisfaction with dieting behavior of adolescent female. The subjects were 96 adolescent females who were still studying in Junior High School with age between 12 – 15 years. Scale used in this research was dieting behavior scale by Polivy, et al (1978) arranged based on three dieting behavior aspects, which are external aspect, emotional aspect, and restraint aspect and body dissatisfaction scale arranged based on body dissatisfaction component by Thomson, et al (Odang, 2005), which are affective component, cognitive and behavior. The result of this research was there was a positive correlation between body dissatisfaction with dieting behavior of adolescent female, (r = 0.456 and p < 0.01), so that the hypothesis of this research was acceptable. Keywords: body dissatisfaction, dieting behavior, female adolescence ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara ketidakpuasan terhadap tubuh (body dissatisfaction) dengan kecenderungan perilaku diet pada remaja putri. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 96 remaja putri yang masih bersekolah di tingkat sekolah lanjutan pertama dengan rentang usia antara 12 – 15 tahun. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala perilaku diet yang disusun berdasarkan 3 aspek dari teori perilaku diet yang dikemukakan oleh Polivy dkk. (1978) yaitu aspek eskternal, aspek emosional, dan aspek pengekangan. Adapun skala ketidakpuasan terhadap bentuk tubuh (body dissatisfaction) disusun berdasarkan komponen ketidakpuasan terhadap bentuk tubuh dari Thomson dkk. (Odang, 2005) yaitu komponen afektif, komponen kognitif, dan komponen perilaku. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan positif antara ketidakpuasan terhadap bentuk tubuh dengan kecenderungan perilaku diet pada remaja putri (r = 0.456 dan p < 0.01), dengan demikian hipotesa dalam penelitian ini diterima. Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the contribution of self disclosure toward marital satisfaction among individuals who married through ta'aruf process. Using the quantitative approach and associative design, the data in this study were collected from 88 participants through The Self-Disclosure Scale (Billetter, 2002) and ENRICH Marital Satisfaction (Fowers and Olson, 1993). Data were analyzed by simple regression analysis and revealed that the contribution of self disclosure to maritalsatisfaction were 8,7%. This research explores the way of self-disclosure in order to help individuals to achieve a satisfying marriage life.Keywords: Self Disclosure, Marital Satisfaction, Ta’aruf.

Abstract

Brand loyalty has become essential to the life of a company that every telecommunications company in Indonesia are trying to create a variety of innovations in order to always excel in the market. However, to become the number one provider in the market needed workable marketing strategy is to create a brand that can connect with the emotions of consumers so as to create consumer brand loyalty. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional branding on consumer brand loyalty card mobile XL. The sample in this study was 271 XL mobile card consumers in Banda Aceh aged 13-30 years with a mobile card usage period for at least 3 months. Data in this research was collected using a scale to brand loyalty based on the theory from Schiffman and Kanuk (2004) and for emotional branding based on the theory from Gobẻ (2005). Methods of data collection in this study using a scale giving emotional branding and brand loyalty. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between the two variables of the study. Pearson correlation analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between emotional branding and consumer brand loyalty in mobile cards XL is p = 0.000 and the value of correlation (r) of 0.241.

Abstract

Periode ini, banyak kasus yang terjadi pada remaja disebabkan oleh rendahnya kematangan emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelekatan aman dan religiuitas terhadap kematangan emosi pada remaja. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa remaja kelas XI SMA X, dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 63 subjek. Karakteristik sampel adalah remaja berusia 15-21 tahun dan beragama Islam. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu skala kematangan emosi, skala kelekatan aman, dan skala religiuitas. Analisisnya data menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan aman memiliki peran terhadap kematangan emosi dengan nilai r sebesar 0,343 dan p= 0,006 (p0,05). Kata kunci: kematangan emosi, kelekatan aman, religiuitas ABSTRACT Today, there are many cases occur against teenager caused by low emotional maturity. This study investigated whether secure attachment and religiousity contribute to emotional maturity in a selected teenager sample that consisted of 63 students form XIth grade. Data were collected using emotional maturity scale, secure attachment scale, and religiousity scale. To analyze the data, multiple regression analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between emotional maturity, secure attachment, and religiosity. The result shows that secure attachment was a positive predictor of emotional maturity. Whereas, religiousity has not a predictor of an emotional maturity. Abstract

This research has aimed to tested the influence of conflict management skills training to increase leader’s emotional intelligence in making decision with one co variable i.e. the big fve personality. The result of this research revealed the big fve personality i.e. neuroticism, extravertion, openness to experience, agreebleaness, and counstiousness influence emotional intelligence of leader in decision making. That was stated by score of emotional intelligence of leader in decision making within co variable by F = 78.951; p = 0.000 and with co variable by F = 10.365; p = 0.007. The result of this research revealed the existence of interaction between group variable and observed variable that was stated by F = 85.267; p = 0.000. The result showed that control group and experimental group was different. The emotional intelligence in decision making of control group was decreased (from -5.500 to -8.200), while experimental group was increased (from 6.600 to 10.800). To test the differences of alteration pattern of each group, researcher observed F value of between subject effect test. It revealed the difference between experimental groupand control group with F = 114.765; p = 0.000. In this research, the conflict management skills training treatment contribution toward the emotional intelligence of leader in decision making is 81.3 %.
