Abstract

Abstract. Fighting anxiety often occurs in male and female athletes, as well as individual group sports and sports. The anxiety is a feeling of worry, anxiety, and uneasiness by considering the game as something dangerous. There are many factors that can cause an athlete to experience anxiety during a match that is dysfunctional thoughts and stress, academic problems, anxiety injuries, and poor team relationships. Other factors also exist from such individuals and the environment, such as negative thoughts on the outcome of the game, the pressure of the coach or supporters. Therefore, the fighting anxiety is very important to be known by every athlete or team that will compete, in order to be able to improve its best performance in the face of the game. This study used a quantitative approach measured using the scale of The Sport Interference Checklist (SIC) to measure athlete's anxiety. The subjects of the study were 110 people consisting of athletes of students in the Sports  student Unit State Islamic University Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. With male gender of 64 people and 46 women, as well as individual sports from two sports that is badminton and table tennis totaling 31 people and sports groups from four sports that is soccer, volleyball, basketball, and sepak takraw amounted to 79 person. The analysis is descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was no difference between sex of male athlete with percentage 63,00% and woman equal to 66,89%, because anxiety at athlete evaluated from gender have no significance, and difference between type of individual sport with percentage 67, 12% and sports groups of 63.64%, if reviewed the anxiety of the athlete's sports type does not have significant. This means that athletes in the Sport students Unit equally have anxiety problems when playing.

Abstract

In order to be a successful organization it is necessary to optimize the potentials of its human resources. It is including attention to factors that may be predictors for employee engagement. The study was conducted to determine whether variables of psychological capital and workplace well-being can be a predictor for employee engagement. The respondents in this study are 202 people which come from two government institutions of X. The conducted data ware analyzed by using the structural method and with the help of LISREL 8.70. The results showed: (1) Psychological capital influence the employee engagement positively, but it is not significant. (2) Workplace well-being influences the employee engagement positively and significantly with standardized value of 0.62 and t-value of 4.52. (3) Psychological capital and Workplace well-being proved influence the employee engagement. However psychological capital is not influence significantly to the employee engagement (because the standardized value of 0:23, with a value of t-1.77 does not meet the minimum requirements of direct significance value which is t-1.96). While workplace well-being influences positively and significantly to the employee engagement (with standardized value of 0.62 and t-value of 4.52) and it can be used to predict the employee engagement. Thus, workplace well-being with (1) the extrinsic dimension which consists of: using time as well as possible, working conditions, supervision, promotion and salaries, and (2) intrinsic dimension which consists of: job responsibility, the meaning of employment, self employment, the use of skills and knowledge to work as well as a feeling of achievement in work - it is well proved to be factors in predicting employee engagement.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahami secara mendalam dinamika kelompok pro penetapan dalam memaknai dan mencapai identitas sosial positif atas status keistimewaan Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan jumlah subyek 6 orang yang merupakan anggota kelompok pro-penetapan. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa kelompok pro penetapan mempersepsikan bahwa demokrasi bukan didefinisikan secara tunggal, tetapi disesuaikan dengan lokalitas budaya masyarakatnya. Pemaknaan terhadap keistimewaan Yogyakarta meliputi unsur penetapan pemimpin secara langsung, pengelolaan pertanahan, tata ruang, kelembagaan pemerintahan dan kebudayaan sesuai tradisi yang sudah berjalan ratusan tahun lalu. Kelompok pro penetapan menggunakan strategi kompetisi sosial dalam mencapai/mempertahankan identitas sosial positif atas status keistimewaan Yogyakarta.This article tries to focus deeper on the dynamic of pro-stipulation group in identifying meaning which given on Yogyakarta’s province as special status. As part of identity it follows with their strategy to achieve positive social identity. The research used both qualitative method and phenomenological framework. Subject consist of six (6) individuals, stand from member of pro-authority group. The result is that meaning of Yogyakarta’s special status relate with democracy, for the people of Yogyakarta it was not singular definition like in modern concept already given the meaning toward it. Furthermore, there are meanings of Yogyakarta’ special status include stipulation leader, authority in landform, public space, administration of government and cultural identity that has been rooted for hundreds of years ago. Last part of this research is the finding of cultural competition as an effective strategy of to achieve positive social identity. It is so, since the action implicates the obvious gap between local and national identity throughout the strategy. Key words : social identity, redefinition of democracy, social competition

Abstract

The number of abstentionsin the city of Yogyakarta was the biggest in the province of Yogyakarta In election 2009.The result showed the level of non-voters in the city of Yogyakarta was 34%. Abstentions in Yogyakarta occurred tendency increasingly in every election in Indonesia. Therefore, this study try to exploring and reading on the causes and potential abstentions in the2014 general election in Yogyakarta. This study used qualitative research methods. This research tries to explore the phenomenon of non-voters with a theoretical approach, and then this research explored the phenomenon of non-voters within-depth interviews for Ellection Commision of Yogyakarta (KPU). The results showed there are several factors influenced non-voters in the city of Yogyakarta. First; Technical factors, the example is sickness of voters when the election process. Second,Job factor or voter’s daily activities.Third; administrative factoris a factor related to the administrative aspects of the resulting voters could not exercise their voting rights.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh AMT terhadap optimisme dan efikasi diri pada mahasiswa organisasi di UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Karakteristik sampel penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengikuti organisasi mahasiswa, dipilih mengikuti AMT di Kaliurang, mampu dan mau menjadi peserta aktif pelatihan. Desain pelatihan yang digunakan adalah one-group multiple pre-test—post-test design pada metode quasi eksperimen dengan 25 subyek di kelompok eksperimen selama dua hari pelatihan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala efikasi diri berdasar teori Bandura (1997) dan skala optimisme berdasarkan aspek-aspek menurut Seligman (2001) yang digunakan oleh Aldila (2010) dalam penelitiannya. Tidak ada pengaruh signifikan AMT terhadap efikasi diri (p = 0.145, p > 0.05), namun ada pengaruh yang signifikan AMT terhadap nilai optimisme (p = 0.024, p < 0.05). Kata Kunci: AMT (Achievement Motivation Training), Efikasi diri, Optimisme. ABSTRACT This research aimed to examine the effectivity of AMT to optimism and self-efficacy of organization students in UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Sample characteristic of this study are students who join the internal collage organizational activity, choosed to join AMT at Kaliurang, able and agree to be an active participant of the training. Research design of this study was onegroup multiple pre-test—post-test design on quasi experiment with 25 subjects of experimental group in 2 days training. Data colleted by self-efficacy scale from Bandura’s theory (1997) and optimism scale from Seligman’s aspects (2001) which used by Adila (2010) in her research. There is no significant difference in self-efficacy after the training (p = 0.145, p > 0.05), but there is a significant difference in optimism score aftertraining (p = 0.024, p < 0.05). Abstract

In gerontology, the issue of pets as a "negative effect killer during retirement" has long been believed to be an activity that can improve living welfare. This study used 77 male retired employees. This study aims to determine the effect of pet ownership on stress levels, differences in stress levels between groups that have animals and do not have animals and know the characteristics of the group of pet owners related to stress levels. The research data will be analyzed using simple regression, Mann Whitney test and Chi square. The research instruments used were the Perceived Stress Scale from Cohen (1988) and the questionnaire. Obtained overall results of respondents at moderate stress levels. The research findings are that pet ownership has an effect on stress levels of 37, 2%. It was also found that groups that had pets had lower stress levels than those who did not have pets. In addition, it was concluded that there was a correlation between the level of education and the level of stress that was not significant, the correlation between marital status and residence status with stress levels significantly. Keywords: :Pet, Retirement, Stress Levels

Abstract

This present research is focused on determining whether there is a difference Self Regulated Learning (SRL), when viewed from the Spiritual Well Being, between students in boarding school-based and non- boarding. The study sample consisted of each of a number of 33 respondents from boarding and non- boarding school. The total number of respondents was 66. Measuring instruments used is Scale SRL and Spiritual Well Being Scale. The results showed that there was no difference in the level of SRL in terms of Spiritual Well Being, between students from boarding school-based and non-boarding. In addition, the results also show that there is a relationship between variables SRL with variable Spiritual Well Being. The higher level of Spiritual Well Being, the ability of students is also higher SRL. Conversely, the lower the Spiritual WellBeing, then the lower the students’ ability SRL. It was concluded that, the aspects contained in the Spiritual Well Being will help students to have a good ability SRL. The absence of differences by type of school is because the non-boarding school samples, that became the subject of research, has been practically apply aspects of spirituality in everyday learning situations at school. In addition, it is important to know how the SRL and Spiritual Well Being condition of the respondents in both groups, before they are educated in their respective schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh antara persepsi terhadap ketegangan atau tekanan (Strains) psikologis terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis pada pasangan suami istri yang berperan sebagai pengasuh bagi pasangan mereka yang mengalami stroke. Metode kuanitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan analisis regresi sederhana. Sampel penelitian didapatkan dengan teknik sampling accidental dengan menggunakan skala caregiver strains index dan Ryff’s psychological well being yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 37 suami dan istri (N=37) yang telah menjadi pengasuh bagi pasangan mereka yang mengalami stroke dengan minimal jangka waktu 3 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa p=0.772 (>0.05) yang dapat dimaknai bahwa pengaruh ketegangan psikologis terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis pasangan adalah tidak signifikan. Kata Kunci: Ketegangan Psikologis, Pengasuh, Pasien Stroke, Kesejahteraan Psikologis ABSTRACT This study examines perceived psychological strains as determinant towards psychological well-being on maried couples with stroke. The measurement was conducted with correlational method with accidental sampling techniques as the quantitative empirical analysis is based on adapted modified caregiver strain index that consist of 13 items and Ryff’s psychological wellbeing scale that consist of 54 items within 37 wives and husband (N=37) with stroke partner and take their responsibilites as spouse caregiver for at least 3 months. The statistical results shows that F = 0.085, with p = 0.772> 0:05 (not significant) and the value effect (Adjusted R Square) is 2.6%, so it can be concluded that there is no significant effect of perceived caregiver strain on psychological well-being of spouse who became the caregiver for their spouse who had suffered from stroke. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between career self-efficacy with the readiness of work in the last semester students. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive relationship between career self-efficacy and job readiness. Subjects in this study were last semester students of “X” University Yogyakarta with the whole subject 110. Methods of data collection using the scale of Work Readiness and scale Career Self Efficacy. Results of analysis with product moment correlation test obtained (rxy) of 0.772 (p = 0.000). This shows that there is a positive relationship between career self-efficacy with the readiness of work in the last semester students, so the hypothesis proposed in this research is acceptable. Higher the career self-efficacy followed higher the readiness of work in the final semester students. On the contrary, lower the career self-efficacy followed lower the readiness of work on the last semester students. Coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.60 means that the career self-efficacy variable in this study is able to contribute 60% to the readiness of work to the last semester students. This at once confirms the influence of other variables that are not examined in this study by 40%.
