Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh tembaga(II) dan kadmium(II) terhadap persen ekstraksi merkuri(II) menggunakan emulsi membran cair tipe W/O bersurfaktan ganda dengan benzoil aseton sebagai pembawa kation. Kondisi optimum yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Emulsi dibuat dengan menggunakan campuran surfaktan span-80 & span-20 = 2%, laju emulsifikasi = 2000 rpm selama 10 menit, rasio volume fasa membran/fasa internal = 1, konsentrasi HNO3 dalam fasa internal = 2M. Ekstraksi dilakukan terhadap larutan 30 ppm merkuri sebagai fasa eksternal dengan pH = 2 dan laju ekstraksi 300 rpm selama 10 menit serta rasio volume fasa eksternal/emulsi = 7, Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstraksi merkuri(II) dengan emulsi membran cair, relatif selektif terhadap tembaga(II) dan kadmium(II). Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan tembaga(II) dan kadmium(II) hingga 30 ppm, menurunkan persen ekstraksi merkuri(II) berturut-turut 12,12% dan 11,74%.

Abstract

Kukang (Lepisanthes amoena (Hassk) Leenh.) Leaves is one of the species that belonging to the Sapindaceae family. Traditionally used as drug ulcerate and skin care and also known it has potency of tironase inhibitor and antioxidant agent, but compound that contained in that plant was unknown. The purpose of this research was for isolating steroid compound of n-hexane fraction from Kukang (Lepisanthes amoena (Hassk) Leenh.) leaves and characterizing steroid compound with phytochemical screening, R f , melting point and IR spectrum. Extraction of 650 grams powder Kukang (Lepisanthes amoena (Hassk) Leenh.) leaves with methanol yielded 121,82 grams of crude methanol extract. The crude methanol extract was fractionated with n-hexane and obtained 2,32 grams of n-hexane fraction. Results of phytochemical screening showed that the n-hexane gave positive result for steroid compound. Separation of steroid compound in n-hexane fraction by column chromatography with silica gel 60 (70-230 mesh) which eluted using n-hexane : ethyl acetate (8 : 2) eluent based on Isocratic method and gave nine fractions. Phytochemical screening by Liebermann Burchard reagent showed F fraction contained steroid compound and have been crystalized needle. Purification by recrystallization of the F fraction gave the needle white crystal 10,2 mg with reterdation factor (R f ) n-hexane : CHCl 3 (1 : 1) = 0,40 ; n-heksana : CHCl 3 (3 : 7) = 0,50 CHCl 3 (100%) = 0,71 ; n-hexane : EtOAc (3 : 7) = 0,82 ; EtOAc (100%) = 0,86. Isolated compound has melting point 143-144°C, IR λmax (cm -1 ): 960,48; 1056,92; 1380,94; 1461,94; 1639,38; 2866,02;2935,46; 3433,06. Based on its physical and spectroscopic characterization, the isolated compound is supposed as sterol of steroid compound.

Abstract

Telah diterapkan metode berbasis Ab-Initio dalam suatu analisa QSAR (Quantum Structure Activity Relationship) untuk dapat membuktikan dimana letak pusat aktif senyawa sulfonamida yang telah diketahui nilai persen aktivitasnya secara eksperimen laboratorium. Terdapat tiga tahapan komputasi dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, komputasi struktur elektron semua senyawa yang terlibat dalam 16 substiuen senyawa beserta nilai R dari masing-masing senyawa dalamrangka memperoleh struktur optimum serta nila momen dwikutub dan muatan bersih senyawa-senyawa tersebut. Kedua, teknik analisa data dengan pembuatan model kuantum farmakologi dari kombinasi variabel atom-atom yang selalu terdapat pada 16 senyawa tersebut. Ketiga, analisa regresi multilinear dengan menggunakan beberapa parameter statistik seperti koefisien korelasi (r dan r 2 ) dan standar estimasi (SE). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Ab-Initio berhasil membuktikan daerah pusat aktif senyawa sulfonamida dengan n= 16, R= 0,99, dan nilai SE= 0,08 menunjukkan hubungan kuantitatif yang nyata terhadap antiplasmodial dengan model persamaan terbaik sebagai berikut : log A = 13,10(±0,04)qC1 – 193,21qC2 + 95,47C3 – 63,18qC4 – 2,54qC5 +151,38qC6 + 9,33(±0,02)qC7 + 30,32(±0,02)qC8 – 2,91qO1 – 0,04(±0,66)qO2 +72,37(±0,03)qN1 – 108,91(±0,03)qN1 + 2,96qS + 1,01(±0,04)? Abstract

Antibacterial tests of Ag/SBA-15 from petung bamboo leaf ash against Escherichia coli were carried out. Modification of SBA-15 with Ag was conducted using the wet impregnation method while the antibacterial test was carried out by well diffusion method and disc diffusion method with various concentrations of Ag/SBA-15. The Ag/SBA-15 has a surface area of ​​143 m2/g, pore diameter of 8.4 nm and pore volume of 0.35 cm3/g. The SAXS pattern of Ag /SBA-15 showed 3 typical SBA-15 peaks in the 0o -2o 2θ range with the miller index [100], [110] and [200], indicating modification with Ag did not change the hexagonal structure of SBA-15. Ag / SBA-15 material has the potential as an antibacterial agent for Escherichia coli; the inhibitory zone diameters for the well diffusion method and disc diffusion method were 7.00 ± 0.57 mm and 13.16 ± 0.16 mm, respectively. Increasing the concentration of Ag/SBA-15 samples resulted in greater inhibitory zone diameters for the bacteria.

Abstract

Coagulation-flocculation is one of the waste water treatments using coagulant/flocculants agent. Using coagulant/flocculants based on natural polymers were many used due to many available, renewable source, and environment friendly. One of that coagulant/flocculants was chitosan that can be produced through deacetylation of chitin. Amino groups in the chitosan structure play important role in the coagulant/flocculants process. The aim of research is using chitosan-based coagulants in the coagulation-flocculation of kaolin suspension. In here, there were two coagulants type, first, single coagulant which chitosan with different molecular weight added alone in kaolin suspension. Second, mix coagulants which chitosan aid with alum in kaolin suspension. As the result, functional group analysis showed that chitosan with different molecular weight have the same functional groups. Increasing molecular weight of chitosan increase NH2 groups and degree of deacetylation. The removing turbidity of kaolin suspension showed that increasing molecular weight chitosan increase removing turbidity of kaolin suspension. Using double coagulant (chitosan and tawas) have the removing turbidity greater than single coagulant.

Abstract

Asam linolenat dari minyak nabati diesterifikasi dengan metanol menggunakan katalis asam dan dilanjutkan dengan amidasi dengan etanolamina menghasilkan alkanolamida selanjutnya dilakukan epoksidasi dengan tert-butyl hidroperoksida dan bantuan katalis peroksigenase dipanaskan pada suhu 40oC selama ± 12 jam sambil dialirkan gas Nitrogen UHP 99% untuk menghasilkan senyawa epoksi alkanolamida oktadekanoat campuran yang selanjutnya dihidrolisis dengan HCl 0,1 N untuk menghasilkan senyawa poliol alkanolamida heksahidroksi oktadekanoat. Uji HLB dari surfaktan alkanolamida heksahidroksi oktadekanoat (N-etanol-9,10,12,13,15,16 heksahidroksi oleil amida) sebesar 14,13 Oleh karena itu senyawa poliol ini dapat digunakan sebagai pengemulsi sistem o/w. Seluruh hasil reaksi dikonfirmasikan secara analisis spektroskopi FT-IR, 1H-NMR, GC-MS dan analisis KLT sesuai dengan keperluan.

Abstract

The study aims to find secondary metabolites isolated from leave of pucuk merah (Syzygium Myrtifilium Walp). The method used is maceration, fractionation, column chromatography, thin layer chromatography and identified using Fourier Transform-Infra Red (FT-IR) and Gass Cromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS). Phytochemical preliminary test of ethyl acetate fraction contained alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic and triterpenoids, while the results of phytochemical test against stains 2 ethyl acetate fraction showed a positive test result contains the alkaloid compounds and compounds phenolic. The results of the analysis using cluster bonding FT-IR emergence OH (Hydroksi), C-H (Aromatic), CH3 (Aliphatic), and CO Ether, whereas the MS chromatograms obtained peak (peak) which have a similarity value above 90% according to willey09th.L database. estimates of the results of the analysis can be concluded that the stain 2 ethyl acetate fraction is estimated compound 2,4-di-tersier-butyl-fenol.

Abstract

Hypoglycemic test of methanol extract of Crescentia cujete (L.) at dose 25 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg and 75 mg/kg given to male laboratory mice orally with glucose tolerance test method has been done. Measurement of blood glucose was carried out every 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180 minutes with glucometer. Result of this research concluded that addition of methanol extract of dose 25 mg/kg gave strongest hypoglycemic effect (25.20%), followed at dose 50 mg/kg (18.00%) and at close 75 mg/kg (10.01%) at confidence limit 0.05. Phytochemical test of methanol extract of Crescentia cujete (L.) leaves shown presence of alkaloids, terpenoids, phenolic and saponin compounds.Keywords: Hypoglycemic, Crescentia cujete (L.), phyatochemical

Abstract

The modification of resin Ca - Alginate with rice straw ash as a column filler material for preconcentration step of Mn(II) ion. Has been done Preconcentration method was used by off-line method, water samples were passed through the column and eluted with 0.1 M H2SO4. The eluate was taken and detected by using Spectrophotometer UV-Visible. Optimum composition of modified resin Rice straw ash - Ca - Alginat were at 1% Na - Alginate, 0.1 M CaCl2, and 0.5 g rice straw ash. The result of research shown the optimum condition of retention capacity ion Mn(II) was 0.08211 mg Mn / gr resin. The best sorption at pH 2, and optimum condition of eluent concentration 0.1 M H2SO4, sample volume 12 mL and eluent volume was 5 mL. The analytical performance of this method was good for determination of ion Mn(II) that could be evaluated by limit of detection about 0.7727 mg/L with the reproducibility level shown by the precentage of the coefficient variance was 1.179 %. This method could be applicated to determine ion Mn(II) at the natural water samples from Mahakam river with a recovery percentage of > 95 %, used spike method that shown this resin is good to using at preconcentration stage determination of ion Mn(II).

Abstract

Incorporation of vitamin E from palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) into matrix of mixed gum acacia and galactomannan from Arenga pinnata (kolang-kaling) (GAP) has been studied. Galactomannan extracted from Arenga pinnata was 4.7%. Incorporations were conducted using using 7 gram gum acacia (GA), 1.3 gram vitamin E from PFAD and GAP varied from 0.1 – 0.4 gram in 100 ml total volume. The thickness of the film occurred in the range of 0.600 – 0.780 mm. In the increment of GAP amount the viscosity and stability of film was increased. The best film obtained which most compatible and has viscosity similar with standard of ISO 9001 – 2008 and ISO 22000 – 2005 was from formula 3 contained 0.2 gram GAP. The oncentration of vitamin E determined using gas chromatography was 75.4501%. The composition of vitamin E was tocotrienol 74.41% and tocopherol 25.59%.
