Abstract

Multimedia learning on learning mathematics can help students visualize abstract materials to help students understand the material quickly. However, multimedia learning mathematics developed for the learning process of mathematics is only slightly. This research aims to develop multimedia learning using the MOODLE program on the integral subject for senior high school students in grade XII that feasible using on learning mathematics. This research is included in development research using the ADDIE development model. The research subjects are material experts, media experts, and State Senior High School 8 Yogyakarta (SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta) and State Senior High School 5 Yogyakarta (SMA Negeri 5 Yogyakarta). Data collection techniques used questionnaires, observations, and interviews conducted before developing the product. The research instruments used are observation guides, interview guides, and questionnaires to evaluate the learning multimedia that has been developed. The data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis that is converted into a Likert scale cumulative value. The result of the research showed that based on the analysis of multimedia learning needs, analysis of the characteristics of students, and analysis of problems encountered, obtained that methods of teaching teachers in monotonous, teachers who develop multimedia learning is only slightly, students often browsing related mathematics learning materials, students are difficult to understanding definite integral. Developed multimedia learning using the MOODLE program on the integral subject for senior high school students in grade XII that students quickly understood. The feasibility of developed products based on the calculation of average scores is an excellent category of material experts obtained for 4,37, excellent category of media experts obtained for 4,41, and decent category of students response obtained for 4,17. The student's response is decent, based on the result of the instrument of student response assessment.

Abstract

The background of this study due to the unavailability of the pocketbook as a source of learning. This study aims to prepare and develop teaching material in the form of a mathematics pocketbook for subject matter triangles and rectangular to class VII Junior High School (SMP/MTs) to determine the feasibility of teaching materials. The research was carried out using a model of the development of  Research and Development (R & D). The measures include the development of two aspects, namely the development of mathematics and pocketbooks' feasibility. The development of a mathematical pocketbook covers the preparation, implementation, testing, and revision. The feasibility of mathematics includes both material and media worthiness. Instruments used questionnaire matter experts, media experts, and student responses to assess the feasibility of pocketbooks. They were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. Research Subjects are subject VIIIth grade students SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan and MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen.  Results of research development of mathematics pocketbook for subject matter triangle and rectangular in class VII SMP / MTS obtained from the analysis of the average valuation matter experts by 69,67 with the category is very good, the average valuation by media expert is 90, 33 with the category is very good, and the average valuation student responses is 83.07 with the excellent category. It can be concluded that mathematics pocketbook with an excellent category, so it is feasible to use in the learning process.

Abstract

The teacher learning-centered causes the students to be less active in responding to the explanation due to students' different understanding levels. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the students learning activities. This study aims to enhance student learning activities in learning mathematics by using Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model. This study is a classroom action research consisting of two cycles. This research is the students of class VII C Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta academic year 2017/2018. The object of this research is the improvement of student learning activity in learning mathematics. The data collection techniques organized as observation, interview, and success criteria of this study are marked by increasing the average percentage of student learning activities by at least 61%. It is called a good category. The results show that the learning model with STAD can improve students' learning activities in learning mathematics Class VII C. it can be seen from the average percentage of the student learning activities' observations in cycle I from 54.91% criteria. It gains in cycle II about 67.73% with good criteria. Moreover, students' interviews show an improvement in students' learning activities from cycle 1 to cycle II.

Abstract

learning of mathematics. The use of less appropriate learning model makes students less familiar with the material described by teachers and lead to poor learning outcomes mathematics. This study was included in experimental research that aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model NHT type cooperative learning model TPS. The population in this study were students of class VII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta 2016/2017 academic year consisting of 8 classes. The sampling technique using random sampling techniques derived from class VII D as an experimental class I and VII E as experiment class II. The research instrument is the math achievement test in the form of multiple-choice questions. Test instruments include validity, distinguishing features, and reliability testing. Analysis of data using analysis prerequisite test consisting of a test for normality and homogeneity. Hypothesis test using t-test two parties and one party t-test. Based on the calculation of the t-test two parties with a significant level of 5%, and 58 degrees of freedom obtained  , indicates that there are differences between the students' mathematics learning outcomes of students using cooperative learning model NHT with students who use cooperative learning model TPS in the second semester of seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017. In the calculation of the t-test with a significance level of 5%, and 58 degrees of freedom obtained , shows that the cooperative learning model NHT more effective than cooperative learning model TPS to mathematics learning outcomes second semester of seventh-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta academic year 2016/2017.
