Abstract

Lack of attention of students for teacher’s explanation in learning influence student’s learning outcomes mathematics. One of media learning who focus on student’s attention are using software GeoGebra. The purpose of research to know The Efectivenest Geogebra Software as Mathematics Learning Media  Toward Student Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Class VIII at SMP 2 Sukoharjo of Wonosobo Regency on the Even Semester Of Academic Year 2015/2016. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP 2 Sukoharjo Wonosobo Regency on the even Semester Academic Year 2015/2016. Who consists of three class in totally 86 students. This sample research was the VIII D class for experiment class and VIIIC controlling class selected as random sampling for class. The data collection method uses the test method. Instrument research was mathematics learning outcomes. Data analysis used the hypothesis test. The result of research by using 5% extend significantly and the degrees of freedom are 39, that's point are : (1) there differences of mathematics learning outcomes that using software GeoGebra learning media without use software geogebra.it’s pointed in    . In order that  and (2) mathematics learning used software GeoGebra as learning media more effective than learning compared without use software GeoGebra. It’s a point of   in order that   .

Abstract

Several factors can cause the learning process to become less optimal: learning interest, the interaction of classmates, and home study environment. The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not a positive and significant relationship between interest in learning, the interaction of classmates, and home study environment with the results of learning mathematics class VIII students even semester Muhammadiyah Junior High School Pakem (SMP Muhammadiyah Pakem) Sleman academic year 2016/2017. The population of this study is all students of class VIII even semester SMP Muhammadiyah Pakem Sleman academic year 2016/2017 as many as four classes of 150 students. Samples were taken by random sampling technique and obtained class VIII D consisting of 37 students. The data retrieval technique was obtained by the questionnaire method to know the interest of learning, the interaction of classmates, and home study environment, and test method to know the result of student learning mathematics. Test the instrument using validity test, a test of different power, and reliability test. The prerequisite analysis test consists of a normality test, independent test, and linearity test—data analysis for hypothesis test using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The result showed a positive and significant relationship between the interest of learning, the interaction of classmates, and the home learning environment with the learning mathematics results obtained Fcount = 3.842212452. At the same time, Ftable = 2.89 with a double correlation coefficient of 0,508793279 and equation multiple linear regression of three variables that is Y = - 49,5539718 + 0,49018498X1 + 0,2143675792X2 + 0,5154075895X3. Relative contribution of X1 is 40,68324615%, relative contribution X2 equal to 15,77064916%, and X3 equal to 43,5461047%, and effective contribution of X1 equal to 10,53169637%, effective contribution of X2 equal to 4,08255742%, and X3 is 11, 27280628%.

Abstract

The mathematics learning in class VII MTsN 2 Yogyakarta is still centered on a teacher. Students assume that mathematics is a difficult subject resulting in the students' mathematics learning result. The learning by using cooperative learning model types of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and TPS are expected to improve the students' mathematics learning result. This research aims to determine whether there are significant differences between the students' mathematics learning results who are taught using the STAD method and using the Think pair Share(TPS) method, which is better for the students' mathematics learning result, STAD method, or TPS method. This research population is all the students of class VII State Islamic Junior High School (MTsN) 2 Yogyakarta, consisting of seven classes. Meanwhile, the sample in this research there is two classes determined by random sampling. The research sample is class VII B as experiment class A with the STAD method, and class VII D as experiment class B with the Think Pair And Share (TPS) method. This research instrument is a test of mathematics learning results. It is analyzed by using the validity test, distinguishing power, and reliability. Then, data analysis uses t-test two parties and t-test one party. Based on the analysis of the first hypothesis test is t-test two parties on the students' mathematics learning result with significance degree of 5%, and freedom degree of 64 obtained 𝑡count= 4,0479, and 𝑡𝑡able=1,99894, then 𝑡count > 𝑡𝑡able so that there is a significant difference between the students' mathematics learning result who are taught by using STAD method and by using TPS method, and the second hypothesis test is t-test one party with significance degree of 5%. Freedom degree of 64 obtained 𝑡count= 4,0479, and 𝑡𝑡able=1,669525, then 𝑡count > 𝑡𝑡able so that the STAD method is better than the TPS method of on the students' mathematics learning result.

Abstract

Media developed learning because students are still difficult to understand the material system of linear equations so that the need for renewable innovations in mathematics for students in learning to overcome boredom. The research aims to develop and test the feasibility of learning media in the form of interactive multimedia using Macromedia Flash 8 in mathematics learning in junior high school in the material Linear Equation System Two Variables. This study focused on the development of mathematics learning media is packaged in a Compact Disc (CD). The development of research using the ADDIE development model that is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Penilitiannya are subject matter experts, media experts and SMP N 4 Banguntapan and SMP Muhammadiyah 17 Prambanan Klaten. Learning media is validated by 3 votes materials experts, 3 experts media, and the subject of the trial of 10 students on a test smaller classes and all students in the pilot class of great use assessment instruments or sheets instrument quality research materials and instructional media and student response, This research has successfully developed a mathematics learning media that have quality Good (B). With an average score of 76.67 matter expert assessment results and the average score of 40.33 media expert assessment results. While the score student responses with a score of 69.74 in the trials and testing of small class large class. So that the average score of 186.74 ideals percentage of the maximum score of 225 is ideal ideals with a percentage of 82.99%. Based on these assessments, then the media is worth the learning of mathematics is used as a learning resource for students.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in class VIII SMPN 1 Kasihan Bantul academic year 2017/2018 using Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model, which resulted in students still difficulty solving problems given by teachers so that teachers still guide students in solving the problem by giving its settlement step. As well as in learning, students lack confidence in conveying ideas or opinions. The use of a less precise learning model made the students less understood with the material described by the teacher and resulted in poor learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of cognitive style on learning outcomes, the influence of the learning model of problem posing and MMP learning model on learning outcomes, and the interaction effect between cognitive style and problem-posing model and MMP on learning outcomes. This study's population is the student's class viii State Junior High School     (SMP N) 1 Kasihan Bantul consisting of 5 classes. Samples of 2 classes with the number of 63 students taken with random sampling technique to the class obtained VIII D as experimental class A and class VIII E as experimental class B. Research instrument in the form of Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) test, initial ability test, and test result learning. Data analysis used a two-way analysis test of variance analysis. Based on the first hypothesis test with a significance level of 5% and the value of FA = 5,05 while F0,05; 1,59 = 4,004 mean FA> Ftabel, indicating that there is the influence of cognitive style to result learn. The second hypothesis test with a 5% significance level and FB value = 3.70 while F0,05; 1,59 = 4,004 mean FB <Ftabel, indicating no effect of learning model of problem posing and Missouri mathematics project (MMP) model of outcome learn. The third hypothesis test with the cell is not equal to a 5% significance level and FAB value = 4.40, whereas F0,05,1,59 = 4,004 means FAB> Ftabel interaction between cognitive style and learning model to learning result.

Abstract

Cooperation of students while following the process of mathematics is still lacking. Using a cooperative learning model with the type of NHT expected to improve cooperation of students in particular on VIII grade student of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman in odd semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The purpose of this study is to improve cooperation students in learning mathematics using a cooperative learning model with the type of NHT VIII grade of students SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman in odd semester of the academic year of 2015/2016. The research is classroom action research. The subject of the is VIII grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2Minggir Sleman in odd semester of an academic year of 2015/2016. The object of the research is the cooperation improvement of student's mathematics in learning to use the cooperative learning model with the type of NHT. The study is done in two cycles. Data were collected by using observation sheets, interview sheets and daily tests which had reviewed by supervising lecturer, mathematics teachers, and had been validated by the lecturer expert. An analysis of the data is used was descriptive analysis qualitative. The result showed that the cooperative learning model with the type of NHT can improve the cooperation of students in grade VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Minggir Sleman in odd semester of the academic year 2015/2016. This comes from the observation of student's cooperation on each cycle that had been increased, namely the percentage of student's cooperation cycle I worth 57,29% with criteria of enough, and in cycle II increase to 71 % with the criteria of good.

Abstract

Students were demanded to get a good mark on each subject; nevertheless, their teamwork learning skills were lack asked to participate in the learning process. This research had the aim to improve the students' mathematics teamwork learning skills using the model of cooperative learning CRH. This research was a type of classroom action research. Subjects of research were the student's VII D grades of SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta on even semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. The object of research was mathematics teamwork learning skills using the model of cooperative learning CRH. The data collecting technique consisted of an interview, observation, triangulation, and test. The instrument of the research consisted of observation sheets and interview guides. This research was conducted in two cycles. The cycle was stopped after the result of the indicator was reached out to a minimum of 61% or good criteria. The research results showed that the model of cooperative learning CRH could improve VII D grades students' mathematics teamwork learning skills. It was proved that there was an increase in every cycle from the result of observation analysis toward students. In cycle 1, the percentage of students' teamwork learning skills reached out 50 % in enough criteria. Then, cycle II increased to be 69,93 % in good criteria. It means that there was an increase of 19,93 %. Based on the result of the interview with the students, it also showed that there was a positive response from the students.

Abstract

Learning media is a set of information that is necessary for the implementation of learning. Teachers and students in need of additional media materials in the form of modules to facilitate delivering quadrilateral and triangular, besides the varied learning model, add to the range of learning processes with a level of understanding. This research aims to develop learning modules media math subject quadrilateral, and triangular-based model of learning project-based learning for students of Junior High School grades VII and find out the feasibility of modules in terms of material and media and knowing the student response against the math module. This type of research is research development. This study used Research and Development to identify the Potential and problems, collect information, design products, validate product design, product design, revisions to the test stage, try the product, product revisions, and test the product. This research is the State Junior High School (SMPN) 4 Wonosari and Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah 1 Wonosari students. The type of data used, namely, data qualitative and quantitative data. They are using data collection techniques interviews and are now conducted before product development. The research instrument used is a question form and interview guidelines to assess the modules developed—the data analysis technique using quantitative analysis, which is then converted into the qualitative Likert scale analysis. Based on the research results obtained from the expert assessment of the material with an average score of 103.33 belongs in the category of excellent, expert assessment of the media with an average score of 109.33 belong in the category, and the response of the students against the module with an average score of 112.49 belong in the category. Based on the research of expert material, media experts, and student response towards developing the media learning modules on the subject of quadrilateral and triangular-based model of learning project-based learning for students of Junior High School grades VII feasibility in the learning process.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of learning independence and the use of learning resources that occur thus might affect the level of student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence or absence of positive and significant relationships between learning independence and the use of learning resources with students’ mathematics learning outcomes in class VIII of even semester in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta Academic of 2015/2016. The population in this study was all VIII class students as much 7 classes by total students 212. The sample was taken with a random sampling technique and derived class VIII B as a class sample with 27 students. Data collection technique used to test techniques to determine the result of mathematics learning outcomes and questioner techniques to determine the learning independence and use of learning resources. Instrument testing used validity and reliability testing. The technic to analysis test which is a test of homogeneity, normality, independent, and linearity test. Analysis of the data for testing hypotheses used correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The results showed that F_count= 5,608648681 and F_table= 3,40 so F_count≥F_table which means there is a positive and significant relationship between learning independence and use of learning resources that occur thus might affect the level of student learning outcomes, with a coefficient of determination (r) = 0,5643728384 and ŷ = -23,63 + 0,49x1+ 0,76x2. The value of Relatively contribution of X1 = 32,645%, X2= 67,355% and value of effectively contribution of X1 = 10,398%, X2= 21,454%.

Abstract

Macromedia Flash 8 is still something new in the process of learning mathematics. Even though one of these computer applications can create exciting media for the student, the student will experience different learning styles using a computer to learn. This research aims to design, develop, and find out the qualitative categories and the feasibility of learning media of mathematics based Macromedia Flash 8 on Three Dimensions for 10th Student of Senior High School. The research uses the development method of Research and Development. The development stages are Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). This research subject is the matter expert, the media expert, 10th students of Senior High School of Muhammadiyah (SMA Muhammadiyah) 5 Yogyakarta, and 10th students of Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 6 Yogyakarta. This study used the instrument of questionary. The data analysis technique was conducted quantitatively to test the advisability of developed learning media. The research results showed the advisability of learning media, 76.33 from the subject aspect, and 111.33 from the media aspect. The student’s response has an average of 65.20 on a limited class trial and 64.49 on a significant class trial. For the learning media developed, the average score of the final assessment is 317.35, with the category of Excellent and Feasible for use as learning media for the Subject of Three Dimensions for 10th student of Senior High School.
