Abstract

Student mathematics learning results are low related to several factors. The correlation between learning time management, learning motivation, and peer interaction are several factors that are likely related to learning results. This study aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant correlation between Learning Time Management, Learning Motivation, and Peer Associations with Mathematics Learning Results of Students at Grade VIII, State Junior High School of 1 Pandanarum (SMP Negeri 1 Pandanarum) in Banjarnegara Regency in the odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. This study's population were eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pandanarum Banjarnegara Regency in the odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisting of classes VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, VIII E, totaling 145 students. A random sampling technique determined the research sample. Data collection techniques were performed using a questionnaire method to obtain data on learning time management, learning motivation, peer interaction, and test methods to obtain data on mathematics learning results. The research instrument test includes validity tests, different power tests, and reliability tests, while the analysis prerequisite test includes a normality test, linearity test, and independence test. In this study, data analysis was performed using product moment analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed a positive and significant correlation between learning time management, learning motivation, and peer interaction with mathematics learning results of Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Pandanarum Banjarnegara Regency in the odd semester the academic year of 2016/2017. This is indicated by Fcount> Ftable which is 8,0123 > 2,9912 with  R= 0,7001 and R2 = 0,4902 with , with ,  and = 25,1391 , EC  and .

Abstract

The low student mathematics learning outcomes are influenced by many factors. Parental attention, social environment, and learning independence are some of the factors that are thought to influence student learning outcomes in mathematics. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of finding out whether there was a positive and significant relationship between parents' attention, social environment and learning independence with mathematics learning outcomes for students of class VIII odd semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta 2016/2017 school year. The population in this study were all eighth-grade students of Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta Middle School 2016/2017 academic year consisting of 5 classes with a total of 182 students. As the sample class VIII D consisting of 36 students using random sampling techniques to the class. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire method for parents' attention, social environment and learning independence. As for the test method for student mathematics learning outcomes. The instrument test uses validity and reliability tests. The analysis prerequisite test uses a normality test, independent test, and linearity test. Analysis of hypothesis testing data uses simple linear regression analysis and multiple regression and correlation analysis. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation among parents' attention, social environment and learning independence with mathematics learning outcomes with Fcount = 9,70 > Ftable = 2,90 multiple correlation coefficient (R) is 0,69 and the multiple determination coefficient (R2) is 0,48. While the multiple regression equation is , relatively contribution (X1) = 62,34%, the relative contribution (X2) = 19,18%, the relative contribution (X3) = 18,48% and effective contribution (X1) = 29,68%, the effective contribution (X2) = 9,13%, and the effective contribution (X3) = 8,80%.

Abstract

The teachers still dominate learning mathematics, and some students still assume that mathematics is a hard subject. The lack of student activeness in learning mathematics in the class resulted in low student learning outcomes. Fortunately, there is one way to improve the students' learning outcomes by using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the learning approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach with conventional learning. The study is done in MTs Sultan Hadlirin Mantingan District Jepara. This study population was the seventh-grade students of Islamic Junior High School Sultan Hadlirin mantingan (MTs Sultan Hadlirin Mantingan) School Year 2016/2017, which comprises of 3 classes with a total of 68 students. The experiment class was VIIA, and class VII B as the control class that was selected by random sampling of classes. The methods of data collection using documentation and test. The research instrument is in the form of questions. The test instrument is used for validity, reliability, and distinguishing features. Prerequisite test data analysis is used for Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, and Hypothesis Testing. Hypothesis test results with a significance level of 5% and 46 degrees of freedom showed that: (1) there are differences in learning outcomes of mathematics that using approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach with conventional learning.  It can be seen in  = 8,0383 and   = 2,0130, so  >  and (2) Learning mathematics using approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is more effective than conventional learning. This is indicated by the value = 8,0383 and  = 1,6787, so > .

Abstract

Until now, in general, mathematics is still a subject with learning outcomes that tend to be unsatisfactory, including data shown by observations of mathematics learning outcomes at Islamic Junior High School (MTs) Wahid Hasyim Yogyakarta. It can be seen from the few students who are active in asking questions when finding difficulties and students who want to go forward to work on the problem. This study aims to determine contextual learning effectiveness through Hands-on Activity and Minds on Activity in improving student learning outcomes. This study's population were all eighth-grade students of MTs Wahid Hasyim Sleman Regency 2015/2016 Academic Year consisting of 3 classes. The class sampling technique is that classes are taken randomly from classes in the population, and each class is homogeneous. The class drew results. It was found that class VIII A was the experimental class and class VIII C was the control. Data collection is done using the test method. The instrument test uses content validity. Data analysis techniques used for analysis prerequisite tests include normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. After researching with Randomized Posttest-Only Comparison Group Design with a population of VIII class of MTs Wahid Hasyim, the data showed that 1) t-test results obtained tcount = 2.0217> ttable = 2.0190, this means that there are differences in learning outcomes student mathematics between students who learn using contextual learning models with students who learn using conventional learning models. 2) the t-test was obtained tcount = 2.0217> ttable = 1.6826, this shows that Hands-On Activity and Minds On Activity in mathematics learning with contextual approaches are more effective than mathematics learning using conventional learning models of students' mathematics learning outcomes 7th MTs Wahid Hasyim Sleman  Academic Year 2015/2016.

Abstract

The result of the study in a low student is related to many factors. The relationship between time management, learning motivation, and parent’s attention are the factors possible that may be linked to learning outcomes. The research is intended to know about is there any positive correlation and significance or not between time management, learning motivation, and parent’s attention with mathematics learning outcomes of eight grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Seyegan Sleman odd semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. The population in this research was the students of  VIII grade in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Seyegan Sleman in the academic year of 2016/2017, consisted of class  VIIIA, VIIIB, VIIIC totaling 86 students. Samples were taken from VIIIB and VIIIC as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses a questionnaire method to collect the data of time management, learning motivation, and parent’s attention, and test method to get the resulting learning of math. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and the test of independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed that there was a positive and significance relationship time management, learning motivation, and parent’s attention with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII in odd Semester of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Seyegan Sleman in academic year of 2016/2017. Abstract

High order thinking skill (HOTS)-oriented PBL learning model emphasizes the use of real problems that can entice students to think high-level in solving problems. This study aims to find more effective learning between mathematics learning using the HOTS-oriented PBL model with mathematics learning using the direct model of mathematics learning outcomes. This study population was all students of class X Muhammadiyah Vocational High School Light Vehicle Engineering 1 Bambanglipuro ( SMK 1 Muhammadiyah Bambanglipuro) academic year 2017/2018, which amounted to 184 students. Samples taken by two classes using the Random Sampling technique, obtained class X Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) F as control class and class X TKR E as experiment class. The technique of collecting data using the test method. Instrument testing uses validity test and reliability test. The data analysis technique used for the prerequisite test is the normality test with Chi-Square and homogeneity test with the F test formula, while for hypothesis test with t-test. The results showed that at a 5% significant level and dk = 56, it was concluded that        (1) there was a difference in mathematics learning results among students whose learning using HOTS-oriented PBL model with students using a direct model. This is indicated by the value = 2,8166 >   = 2,0045. (2) Mathematics learning using the HOTS-oriented PBL model is more effective than mathematics learning using a direct model of mathematics learning result. This is shown by  = 2,8166 >  = 1,6733.

Abstract

Ketersediaan bahan ajar matematika di beberapa sekolah misalnya di MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen masih kurang. Khususnya bahan ajar yang menarik dan memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa dalam belajar. Lembar Aktivitas Siswa (LAS) untuk kurikulum KTSP merupakan salah satu alternatif bahan ajar yang dapat memfasilitasi siswa untuk dapat belajar dengan mandiri baik dengan atau tanpa bimbingan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji kelayakan LAS untuk siswa SMP/MTs kelas VIII pada materi operasi aljabar. Penelitian pengembangan LAS ini mengikuti langkah-langkah Research and Development (R&D) yang meliputi : (1) potensi dan masalah, (2) pengumpulan data, (3) desain produk, (4) validasi desain, (5) revisi desain, (6) uji coba produk. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis instrumen angket. Subjek penelitian adalah ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa kelas VIII SMP/MTs. Hasil penelitan dan pengembangan LAS untuk siswa SMP/MTs kelas VIII pada materi operasi aljabar terdiri dari tiga judul utama yaitu : (1) Operasi hitung pada bentuk aljabar; (2) Pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar; (3) Operasi pecahan dalam bentuk aljabar. Dari hasil penelitian oleh ahli materi diperoleh skor 124,5 dengan kriteria sangat baik, dari ahli media diperoleh skor 91,5 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Dan hasil respon siswa terhadap LAS adalah sangat baik dengan skor 75,7 pada uji coba I. sedangkan pada uji coba II meningkat menjadi 76,6 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Rata-rata hasil respon siswa dalam penelitian ini adalah 76,15 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa LAS untuk siswa SMP/MTs kelas VIII pada materi operasi aljabar layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Abstract

This research was based on the teacher's rule. The facilitator task requires a teacher to provide teaching materials appropriate to the learning process. The purpose of this research was to develop products that can be used in mathematics learning. This research is a module for grade VIII students of Junior High School (SMP) on Algebraic operations using guided discovery. This research used the Research and Development (R & D) steps. The steps included two aspects: (1) planning and making module (2) propriety. Planning and making module include: (a) Potency and problems, (b) data collecting, (c) Product Design, (d) Validation of design, (e) Revision of the design. The propriety module includes: (a) The product's test and (b) its revision. The instruments used in the module are: (1) The evaluation sheet of media experts, (2) the evaluation sheet of materials experts, and (3) The sheet of student response. Validation analysis of module is 83 (very good) for media expert, 80,333 (very good) for material expert, and 73,6256 (very good) for the student's response. The instrument from media experts, material experts, and student response showed that the average was 236,9586 in the very good category. Based on the combined analysis by media experts, material experts, and student response, the module for grade VIII of Junior High School on algebraic operation using guided discovery Principles is very good and proper for use.

Abstract

Mathematics is a basic science that is very important and beneficial to the development of science and technology. The use of learning media based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) becomes one a tool alternative for teachers in presenting the subject of mathematics. The set subjects still considered difficult for some students. Learning media based on Macromedia Flash 8 is expected to be facilities that support learning. This research is a development that aims to produce instructional media using Macromedia Flash 8 in learning mathematics on the subject of a set of class VII SMP. This development study using the ADDIE development model that is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Subjects were matter experts, media experts, and junior high SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta and SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique conducted qualitatively and quantitatively to calculate the results of the feasibility test score developed in instructional media. Based on the quality of every aspect of learning media, results of research-based math learning media development of mathematics learning media based on Macromedia Flash 8 is from materials experts with perfect category, an average score is 79,67, from media experts with perfect category, an average score is 105,33, and the response of students with perfect category with an average score of 66,50. Based on the assessments, then the media-based mathematics learning Macromedia Flash 8 is very feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes using guided discovery methods and the expository method. These populations in the study were the students of two classes. The design of this study uses Randomized Pretest-Postest Comparison Group Design. The technique of collecting data uses a test in the form of an essay. The test instrument used is a validity test. The data analysis technique used is the analysis prerequisite test, including the normality test and homogeneity test followed by hypothesis testing. The results of the experimental and control class hypothesis tests with a significant level of 5% and dk = 62 indicate that for students' mathematics learning outcomes (posttest) 1) there are differences in students' mathematics learning outcomes by using the guided discovery method and the expository method in class VII students. of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 2 Kalasan, 2) Guided Discovery method is more effective than the expository method on students' mathematics learning outcomes of class VII of SMP Negeri 2 kalasan
