Abstract

The limitations of materials resulting in learner's optimal learning can not cause learning activities centered on the teacher; this resulted in a low level of self-reliance and active students in learning. This research aims to develop modules, testing the feasibility of modules, and knowing the student response to the development of a module of mathematics based discovery learning on the material in rectangular to Junior High School students of class VII. Procedure for adapting the development of models of research and development ( R&D) include the stage of identifying the potential and problems, collect data, crafting products, product validation, revision products, product trials, revision product, trial use, revision of the product, the final product. This is a subject matter expert, media, and student. This research object is a module of mathematical-based discovery learning on the rectangular material of Junior High School (SMP) students of Class VII. Data collection techniques in the form of sheets of interview and question form. With test instruments through the validation and analysis of data using lecturer analysis question form and analysis of a mathematical module's feasibility. Abstract

Limited learning resources is a problem that affects the achievement of learning goals. Teaching materials that can help students learn independently with or without a teacher's guidance is a module. This research is the development research to compose a mathematics module in trigonometry material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of Senior High School (SMA). Knowing the module that is developed is suitable or not if used in a mathematics lesson. This research uses  Research and Development to identify potential and problems, collect the information, design a product, design validation, design revision, experiment, and product revision. This research and development of the module are material expert, media expert, and students in SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta and SMA Muhammadiyah 7 Yogyakarta. The Mathematics Module is developed using a Likert scale that changes the qualitative value into a quantitative value based on discovery learning. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The research results indicate that the mathematics module in statistics material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of SMA/MA has a good quality seen from the validity criteria. Based on material experts and media experts' assessment, an average score is 89,67 and 104, including very well criteria. The student's response to the module indicates that the module's good quality obtained an average score is 76,58. Based on the research results, the mathematics module in trigonometry material based on discovery learning for grade 10th of SMA/MA is suitable for the mathematics lesson.

Abstract

Teacher-concerned learning students resulted in less active participation in learning mathematics. It is necessary to attempt to improve students learning activities. This study aims to improve mathematics learning activities using the cooperative learning model type of Jigsaw in class VII-E in State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 1 Imogiri Bantul Regency of even semester year academic 2018/2019. This study was a classroom action research that consists of two cycles. This study's setting was students class VII-E of even in SMP Negeri Imogiri Bantul regency academic year 2018/2019. The method of collecting data used observation and interviews. The research instrument used an observation sheet and interview sheet. The test instrument used instrument validity and analysis of data used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the Jigsaw could improve mathematics learning activities in students class VII-E of even semester in SMP Negeri 1 Imogiri Bantul regency academic year 2013/2014. This is evident from the observation of student’s mathematics learning activities, and the average test scores have increased in each cycle. This can be seen from the average percentage of learning interactions in cycle I of 77,32 % with the right criteria increased in Cycle II, amounting to 85,34 %  with very good criteria.

Abstract

The research was done because the learning model which is usually applied in SMP Negeri 2 Girimulyo still tends to be centered on teachers and makes students passive in the learning process. Snowball Throwing is one of many kinds of teaching and learning strategy which provides opportunities to the students to be actively involved in the class activity. The objectives of this research are (1) to know the diversities in the math learning outcome of the eighth-grade students which are taught using the expository learning strategy in the second semester of SMP Negeri 2 Girimulyo in the academic year of 2015/2016, (2) to know the effectiveness of the cooperative learning strategy type Snowball Throwing towards the expository learning strategy to the eighth-grade students in the second semester of SMP Negeri 2 Girimulyo in the academic year of 2015/2016. This research used the quantitative research method. The population of the research was the eighth-grade students in the second semester of SMP Negeri 2 Girimulyo in the academic year of 2015/2016. To obtain the sample, this research used the random sampling technique. As the sample, this research managed the VIII B class as the Experiment Class and VIIIA as the Controlled Class. A test was applied for the data collecting technique of this research. To calculate the instrument validity and reliability, this research used the product-moment correlation and the Alpha formula. The data analyzing the technique of this research are the t-test, the normality test used the Chi-Quadrate formula, and homogeneity test used the Bartlett test. Based on the research findings at the 5% significance level and a degree of freedom of 61, thus the accumulations are (1) ttable= 1,6702 and tcal= 6,4198. It collected tcal>ttable so H0 is rejected. Henceforward, there are diversities in the math learning marks of the students who were taught using the cooperative learning strategy type Snowball Throwing towards those which were taught using the expository learning strategy. (2) ttable= 1,6702 and tcal= 6,4198, collected tcal>ttable so H0 is rejected. To put it briefly, the cooperative learning strategy type Snowball Throwing is more effective than the expository learning strategy towards math learning marks.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes are caused by several factors, one of which the learning model used in the less varied and is still centered on the teacher. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using a cooperative learning model course review horey type to the mathematics learning result of grade VIII. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pundong regency Academic Year 2016/2017, which consists of 8 classes. The sampling technique using a random sampling technique to the class and selected class VIII C as an experimental class and class VIII F as a control class. The data was collected using the test method. Tests using Instrument validity, reliability, and distinguishing power. Data analysis techniques used for prerequisite analysis tests include a normality test and a homogeneity test. The hypothesis to test in this study used a two-party t-test and a one-party t-test with a significant level of 5%. Based on mathematics learning result obtained that 1)  and  which means . This means that there is a difference in learning outcomes between the learning of mathematics using cooperative learning model type course review horey with mathematics learning using a direct learning model on the students of VII SMP Negeri 1 Pundong in even semester regency Academic Year 2016/2017. 2)  and  which means . This shows that the learning of mathematics with cooperative learning model type course review horey is more effective than the mathematics learning using direct learning model towards mathematics learning outcomes in VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pundong in even semester regency academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

In the learning process, multimedia has not yet been used much. Interesting multimedia is required to enhance the learning process. Teachers need additional multimedia to assist them in delivering trigonometry teaching materials. This study aims to develop interactive learning media on trigonometry subjects for grade X. Besides; this study is also aimed at knowing the multimedia properness in terms of material and media and the student's responses to multimedia. This study belongs to developmental research employing the ADDIE model that consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study's subject includes students of State Senior High School (SMA Negeri) 1 Imogiri and Senior High School (SMA) Muhammadiyah Imogiri. The data used in this study are qualitative and quantitative, which were collected through observation, interview, and instrument. The assessment result from the material expert is 88.33 and categorized as excellent. The media expert's score is 85.33 and categorized as excellent, and the score of the students is 83.48 and categorized as excellent (based on trial). Thus, it can be concluded that developing interactive learning media on trigonometry subjects for grade X is appropriate to use in the learning process.
