BBR has been accredited by DIKTI under the decree number 158/E/KPT/2021. BBR provide a forum for lecturers, academicians, researchers, practitioners, and postgraduate students to publish empirical multidiscipline research in business & management research, from operations to corporate governance and marketing. Abstract

Educational success is largely determined by the performance of teachers in education. This study aims to examine the contribution of teacher competencies and motivation role in determining the teacher performance. The population in this study were teachers GMI Emmanuel Education Foundation by 74 people. Instruments used in this study was a questionnaire enclosed, was tested with test validity and reliability. The method analysis used discriminant analysis, cluster analysis, Regression, and Path Analysis. The results of cluster analysis showed most teachers who have a positive attitude toward the teacher performance variables. The results of path analysis showed that the research hypothesis accepted in the sense that there are significantly contribution among exogen variables and endogen variable.

Abstract

This research is to analyse the consumer purchase decision behaviour in buying cars. The important factor that being considered is product, price, design, comfort, performance, safety, and after-sales service quality. The research objects are city cars including Suzuki Karimun, KIA Picanto, Cherry QQ, and Proton Savvy. Those four products are chosen because they have the highest sales rate on 2007-2008. The sampling technique in this research is probability sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Meanwhile, the analysis method is using analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Finally, it will be concluded the persentage of each factor priority that will affect consumer consideration in purchase decision of each chosen city car. From the seven factors in this research, the result shows that price factor is the most important part and is the main considerable when consumers choose cars.

Abstract

This study evaluates the influence of service quality on customer loyalty in motorbike and saloons hairdressing shops in Yogyakarta. The service quality is measured using five dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. The service quality is indeed considered the strongest competitive weapon by many organizations with respect to service. Sample is chosen utilizing purposive sampling method. 220 respondents of motorbike and 215 respondents of saloons hairdressing shops are employed. Data analysis is then conducted using regression analysis. This research finds that the five dimensions of service quality significantly influence the customer loyalty to employees and customer loyalty to the business. The dimension of tangibles strongly influences the customer loyalty to the business. To marketers, this finding provides for a long-term perspective of service management. In the conclusion, several suggestions for future research are given, which is to broaden service types so as to acquire higher generalization with more varied population.

Abstract

The amount of graduates and the availability of jobs are unbalanced, therefore unemployment is generalized; not only for uneducated but also those educated ones. This is supporting educational institutions to provide entrepreneurship subject for students to prepare themselves when they have no job and unemployment for the consequences. Entrpreneurial education is not about theory but also field practice that involves every parts such as educational institutions, small-scale and major business, and also government. Education that moves accordingly with the development and field practice for students to be prepared for their graduation, whether or not being an entrepreneur.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the work motivation and job satisfaction to employee performance either partially or simultaneously. This type of research is associative with the method of analysis used are simple and multiple regression analysis. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to all employees of Mutiara Bunda Hospital. The results showed that there are positive and significant influence between motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance

Abstract

PD Sumber Jaya is a company engaged in the leather goods and accessories retailer that sells Braun Buffel brand which has several stores in Jakarta, Surabaya, and also a number of outlets throughout Indonesia. In each outlet is guarded by several Sales Promotion Girls (SPG). The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of leadership style on the performance of SPG PD. Sumber Jaya. The method of analysis used in this study is Test Validity, Test Reliability, Mean, Pearson Correlation, and Regression . Data obtained from SPG assessment of managers by filling out the questionnaire that has been provided by using a Likert scale. The results achieved in this research is the leadership style which is run by managers PD. Sumber Jaya is a type of democratic and individual leadership styles have a strong influence of (0.195) or 19.50% and the direction (+) on the performance of SPG PD. Sumber Jaya.Leadership style has a fairly strong relationship (ryx1 = 0.442) on the performance of SPG.

Abstract

Many companies face a classic problem in sales people’s turn-over or under-target because of uncompeteny of sales people or highly unreasonable sales target. On the other side, management has a perception that the sales people they have are uncompetence and more recruitment for sales people is not reasonable with cost and budget. If the company can not determine the sales force size, it will make a bad culture and business would not run properly. Through this research, the simply formulation will be applied at Jakarta Branch of a general insurance company LIGI (JLIGI) to their sales force at the existing condition and including in 2011. The formulations that will be applied for JLIGI are using breakdown method, workload method, and incremental method. Those three methods have each advantage and disadvantage, whereas breakdown method is a simple and general method, workload method is a more structural method and incremental method needs cost and profitability analysis of the years.

Abstract

Standard cost is generally used by manufacturing business, which direct material, labor, and factory overhead are cleared allocated. On real estate business in this case PT Subur Agung use standard cost based on three costs, raw land, land improvement and interest expense categories instead of direct material, direct labor and overhead. Developer use these cost to predict the project cost and estimate the pre-selling price, in accordance with the cost estimation classification matrix, the variance range is in the expected accuracy rate by testing the variance percentage between standard cost and actual cost. The additional similar projects in PT Subur Agung also follow the same scope. All these evidences have proved the appropriate using standard costing in land cost component of real estate development activities but how it applies this article will analyze in this particular project with using descriptive and exploratory method. The analysis started by knowing the conceptual situation of PT Subur Agung and the data was presented in tables and calculation with detail explanation.

Abstract

Management strategy and strategic leadership are like two sides of a coin that can not be separated, the management strategy is the tool in making a strategic plan for the future, while on the other hand, leadership (leadership) is more emphasis on people who have in the organization (leader and follower behavior) that will run (implementation) the formulated plan so that the goals (objectives) of the company could be reached. In a moving-forward environment, a leader is charged to be always monitoring and watching all changes. Any kind of changes will affect objective approach. A leader will not only be charged to see future, create a road map from the organization, but also has behave in manner to support the goal.

Abstract

Mergers, acquisitions and consolidation is a business strategy that is commonly used in the business world to be able to build competitive advantage company, which in time can enhance shareholder value while maximizing the prosperity of the company owners or shareholders. To achieve the above objective normative, policy-makers need a plan and steps of strategic and accurate information to avoid the risk of failure. However, the strategy of merger, acquisition and consolidation of certain potentially inhibit fair competition conditions, thus becoming one of the objects that need to be regulated in Law no. 5 Year 1999 concerning Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition. Market impact of mergers, acquisitions and consolidation is important for analysis because it can have significant legal consequences for businesses, so that the research method used is the juridical normative and empirical approaches. In practice of mergers, acquisitions and consolidation intersect with regulation in other sectors, especially banking and capital markets. That is, there should be equality of perception and interpretation among the institutions that issued the policy.
