Abstract

This study aimed to determined whether motivation affects students of accounting and double programs to determine whether there were differences between the accounting student with double programs to follow PPAk. There are four hypotheses proposed, the first three hypotheses are tested using multiple linear regression method, whereas the fourth hypotheses is tested using independent t-test of the two samples with 95% confidence level (α=0.05). The result of this study have several implications for various parties related to the PPAk. From the findings obtained in this study, the quality and career motivation variables have significant impact on student interest in follow PPAk. But the career variable is the most significant factor affecting student interests to follow PPAk, while the motivation of economic variables does not significantly affect the interest to follow PPAk. In addition, for the last hypothesis there is no differences between student interest in accounting and double program students. This can be caused by accounting student and double programs student have studied multiple courses in accounting subjects of the course provides knowledge about the field.

Abstract

The primary objective of this research is to learn correlation and effecting among EPS, ROA, and ROE with share price neither partial nor simultaneous. Data secondary collected by industrial samples of consumer groups listed at Indonesian Stock Exchange and the journal preceding research persons. The results of the research describe that EPS has an effecting significant and a high correlation, but ROA and ROE have not any effecting significant and low correlation, but ROA, ROE, and EPS have the effecting significant and high correlation simultaneous to share price. The topic of this research can be continued with other industrial groups or added a lot of new independence variables because if compared to preceding research persons mention the same and differences of its.

Abstract

As a competitive in the industry had been caused the price of Gold commodity become fluktuative dan it make the commodity supply had not been guarantee. Based on that the investor had been tried to make commodity trading that can be used as a hedging that become effective to ensure the strategy from company management from the effect of price fluctuation that can be happen every time. The contract periode that had done in this research from the periode October, November, and December, where the fluctuation of spot and futures price can be calculated based on the correlation between spot and future price. Correlation had been used to put the hedge ratio and also the optimum contract. VaR Methode had been used to show the total risk.The average of VaR spot is Rp 12.205.950.And the VaR futures is Rp 3716803. Based On the condition of high risk and also high return, but it also depend on the investor.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of financial statement disclosure displayed on the website of local government in the years 2009-2010. The research method used is bibliography study and field study through the Internet. We found 2 types of financial information presented in the website, namely the information of financial statements and other financial information. There are 57 local governments that provide financial information from 392 local governments’ website. The 57 local government web sites, only nine local governments that provide information on its financial statements in accordance to SAP (Government Accounting Standards), while 40 local governments provide information on local government budgets (APBD) and 8 present the financial information other than financial statements according to SAP and budget information (APBD). These findings suggest that transparency and accountability of local governments related to the financial statements and other financial information on the website is still lacking.

Abstract

Employee performance is a major factor determining organizational success. Various complaints that arise related to power outages and high electricity tariff increase people demand as consumers on excellent service. Total consumers of PLN Disjaya reach 3,759,546 subscribers (March 2011), it is one unit that has the largest number of subscribers compared to other PLN units, and also provides the largest contribution to revenue. On a survey of Integrity, PLN Disjaya service from 2006 to 2010 showed that over the last five years, PLN Disjaya integrity is below target. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of motivation in moderating influence between job satisfaction and organizational commitment partially and simultaneously on employee performance. Data collection techniques used questionnaires to 160 employees as respondents; data analysis techniques used Regresion Moderated Analysis (MRA). The results showed the role of motivation can moderate the job satisfaction on employee performance, but by individual motivation cannot moderate the commitment to employee performance.

Abstract

Cookie companies are demanded to improve their product quality, product quality is one of the important things. Because with a good product quality, it will deliver purchase intention; with the intention earned by customer, it will also deliver the purchase decision process. The purpose of this research is to analyse the effect of product quality towards purchase intention and its impact on the purchase decision process. The method used in this research is descriptive-associative, with Path Analysis. Questionnaires were distributed to J&C Cookies’ consumers. The findings of this research show that the product quality gives a big influence to customer’s purchase intention and gives a big and positive impact on purchase decision process of J&C Cookies’ customers.

Abstract

 LQ45 index is a row of 45 stocks with the largest commercial transactions in BEI. These stocks are also commonly referred to as blue-chip stocks. Stocks at LQ 45 index must meet the criteria and pass a predetermined key. The LQ 45 stocks are continuously being monitored and will be a reviewed for every 6 months (early February and August). Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) is used to estimate the return of a securities, while minimizing the risk to the desired level of returns in stock investing can be done by way of diversification or invest the funds into more than one type of securities (forming portfolios). The purpose of this study was to determine the expected return, and choosing the best stocks to obtain the optimal portfolio composition and profitable to invest. This study uses secondary data, ie data LQ 45, stock prices, the level of available SBI Stock Exchange, BI, and websites. To analyze the data, the writer used method of CAPM and Markowitz Portfolio. The results showed the election of 5 stocks of the most profitable for investors, namely stock UNTR, SMCB, ASII, INDF and BBRI. For companies that issue stocks should interact more with the society and the capital markets to attract more investors.

Abstract

Leaders are highly influential figure to public. Currently, public expect a leader who is really competent and ethical, and has the ability to carry out the mandates. Many leaders are not trusted; it could be because the process of selecting leaders regarded deviant and did not meet expectations, and even (s)he is nowalready a leader, her/his ability is far from expectations. People have been very bored with always be the same leadership style from period to period. Currently, it is required leaders who prioritize the public interests than the personal or group interests. Therefore, it is necessary to bring about the style of leadership expected by the public, especially for public leaders. So that, the public involvement in the process of selection of leaders is essential. Recruitement of leaders from industry is very expected, that leader competencies are better and adaptable in business environment. Thus it may improve the national economic competitiveness to global competition.

Abstract

Capital Market is a significant indicator of an economy for a country. However, in Indonesia many people are not familiar yet with the investment activity in capital market. The writer is then interested to study the performance of the best (15) mutual fund (shares) 2010 version of Investor Magazine for the next period investment decision in 2011. The research will be focused on several stages. First, it will compute the return for 14 mutual funds, market return and risk-free rate for one year period. Then, the performance will be evaluated using Sharpe, Treynor to find which mutual fund outperform the market. Also, each method will result rank of the best mutual fund. Furthermore, there is one more method will be used in performance evaluation, Jensen. The result of this study is there are two mutual funds that can be recommended for investment in 2011, they are Panin Dana Maksima and Panin Dana Prima. They are recommended because the two mutual funds showed the best performance for those three methods of evaluation and they can maintain their performance for more than one period.
