Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the relationship and the influence between the internal audit toward production function to assess effectiveness and efficiency of the production process at PT.Sumber Nitrat Jaya. The type of research is survey with descriptive research and analysis technique used is the analysis of qualitative data and quantitative data analysis. The sample was 30 respondents. Based on the significance test of correlation coefficients between the variables, it shows a correlation between internal audit with the production function to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process obtained a correlation coefficient of 0.950, which means there is a very strong relationship. By testing the hypothesis that the correlation of the results obtained there is a significant relationship between internal audit with the production function to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of production processes in PT Sumber Nitrat Jaya, because of Ho1 was rejected and Ha1 was accepted where t count HA1> T Table (16.156>2.048). Significance test based on the regression parameter showed a simple linear regression of Y = 4.523 + 0.581 X + ε. This is supported by testing hypotheses derived regression t count> T Table (16.156> 2.048) then there is a significant influence of internal audit toward the production function to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of production processes in PT Sumber Nitrat Jaya because Ho2 was rejected and Ha2 was accepted. This is also supported by the R square value of 0.903 obtained results, or 90.3%. This shows the contribution of internal audit in explaining the effectiveness and efficiency of production processes by 90.3% while the remaining 9.7% is explained by other factors not examined or not included in the model.

Abstract

This paper develops a conceptual framework for intended study which will examine the effect cultural competitiveness on dynamic capabilities and organizational performance. Previous study argued that four variables of Cultural Competitiveness (entrepreneurship, innovativeness, market orientation and organizational learning) have a direct effect on organizational performance. Meanwhile, the other study argued that dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation have a significantly positive effect on dynamic capabilities to different extents, while organizational learning, which has significantly positive effect on dynamic capabilities, plays a partial mediating role between the two. These findings indicate that companies can build dynamic capabilities through different levels of organizational learning in the context of innovative and proactive atmosphere.

Abstract

PT Bina Busana Internusa is a company engaged in garment, established since 1989, and has been widely recognized as one of the leading garment industry in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is influence between working motivation and training on employee productivity partially and simultaneously. The method of analysis used in this study is the Pearson correlation, simple and multiple regressions. Data are obtained from the distribution of questionnaires to 92 production employees as respondents, and interviews with respondents and with the HRD PT Bina Busana Internusa as well. The questionnaire uses Likert scale which was to know the degree of disagreement and agreement from the employee to the statement on the questionnaire. The results in this study stated that motivation and training simultaneously have a significant impact on employee productivity. Working motivation has a relationship and partially affects employee productivity. So is the training has a relationship and partially affects employee productivity. Therefore, the expected results of this research may provide inputs for firms and employees in particular to increase the productivity.

Abstract

PD. PENGGILINGAN PLASTIK XYZ is a company engaged in the manufacturing industry. Recently, demands for products are increasing and the company finds it difficult to meet the demands. Therefore, the company wants to expand the factory to increase output of the products. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the expansion of businesses that want to run is well-worth in terms of financial and nonfinancial aspects. The research method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative descriptive analysis method is used to analyze the legal, technical/operations, markets and marketing, management/organizational, economic, social and environmental impacts. Quantitative descriptive analysis method is used to analyze the financial aspects, the market and marketing. The results of the feasibility study of the factory expansion from the financial aspect refer to an optimistic scenario assumptions and moderate, and worthy to do. Similarly, the non-financial aspects, all aspects point out that the expansion of the factory is feasible to do. By this, the company is expected to maintain a stable supply of raw materials, because, if the supply of raw materials is interrupeted, the operation cannot run.

Abstract

Cafe employers realize the importance of visual merchandising management to enhance brand image. Visual merchandising is the activity of promoting the sale of representative goods at retail outlets. Previous research showed that attractive displays can produce unexpected purchases regularly. Impulse buying can enhance brand image. The results of this study indicate that brand image is determined by two variables together the virtual merchandising and customer experience. Virtual merchandising and customer experience influence significantly in creating unexpected purchases. The test results of path analysis show that impulse buying was important in moderating visual merchandising and customer experience to determine the brand image. Impulse buying plays a positive and significant role on the formation of brand image.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine and obtain empirical evidence on the factors related to the behavior of auditors that could affect the performance of auditors who work in Public Accounting Firm (KAP) Jakarta. This research discusses the factors regarding role conflict, role ambiguity, role excess, and leadership style. The writer took samples using convenience sampling technique. Criterion sampling was auditor working on the Firm in Jakarta with minimal education S1 majoring in Accounting with a minimum of one year working experience. Writers obtained research data through questionnaires distributed directly or via email to the auditors. The writers deployed 250 questionnaires to the auditors who worked on the Firm in Jakarta where questionnaires were successfully returned as many as 186 questionnaires, but there are 18 questionnaires that did not meet the criteria, so that 168 samples were used in this study. To obtain the results of the study, researchers used multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the independent variables included in this study, the lack of clarity of roles, have a significant influence on the performance of auditors. While, the other three independent variables: role conflict, role excess, and leadership style do not significantlyaffect the performance of the auditor.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the service quality that was held by UKI based on student’s perceptions. The method used in this study is the survey method on UKI’s students using questionnaires. The statement in the questionnaires were arrange based on the five dimensions of service quality. Those were tangibles, responbilities, assurances, realibilities, and emphathy. The servqual analysis shows that all attributes get a negative response which means that student’s perception is less than the student’s expectations. The IPM shows attributes that need to get first priority to be improved are library facilities more complete, lecturing process more interactive, handling complaints about the lectures properly, the tuition in accordance with benefits, and the librarian serve students with friendly.

Abstract

This study empirically examines the effect of sales call anxiety (SCA) on salesperson performance, good performance in the form of sales volume and sales interactions. This study tested the hypothesis to identify early factors (antecedents) that may affect the sales call anxiety (SCA). Initial factors suspected as the cause of anxiety in sales interactions (SCA) are divided into two conditions, namely canvassing and closing condition. Canvassing consisted of meeting new people, customer with high social status, and being assertive, while the closing is a condition consisting of asking for commitment, and discussing performance with sales manager. The population in this study is all life insurance company salesperson in Palangkaraya. In this study, questionnaires were distributed to 200 people a life insurance salesperson, and then used as a sample is a total of 147 respondents who have a tendency to trait-NA. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. The analysis showed that when the salesperson must meet new customers, customers with a high social status, when they should be able to introduce himself and mission well (canvassing), when they should ask for customer commitments after several meetings and interviews with candidates customers, and when the salesperson must discuss the results of their performance with the sales manager (closing), causing anxiety for the salesperson, because when interacting with potential customers, they have a negative perception of the ability of self, negative perceptions of the mind customers in assessing their work when interacting, the emergence of physiological symptoms, and they take action "escape" of the situation, or the so-called protective action.

Abstract

Kota Tua is just like other historical old towns in various cities in developing countries, generally preserved even put to improve simultaneously historic and economic value of sustainable revitalization program which involves all stakeholders. The historical value and the architecture of the Kota Tua Jakarta are no less attractive compred to other cities in the world. Thus, Kota Tua has become a historical mainstay tourism destination objects for Jakarta and has broad potential to bring a lot of domestic and foreign tourists. Study on this research describes the identification of direction of planning and development of landscape management in historical tourism destinations of Kota Tua Jakarta. After conducting various studies and literature, then the spatial obtained existing condition, studies the potential of historical tourism, studies history, typology and building reserves, cultural space and Setup zoning patterns, which can be used for consideration and direction for management zoning landscape historical tourism in Kota Tua Jakarta.
