Abstract

Bengkulu is one of the provinces in Indonesia, which has many potentials in terms of natural and cultural diversity. Looking at the numbers of potentials for cultural tourism around the province, Bengkulu Province was expected to increase the number of tourists for its unique characteristic and good image adhering in the minds of prospective tourists as a cultural destination. Problems occurred in Bengkulu Province is a fluctuating level of tourist visits to the province, and the growth level tends to be low. This is due to the image of Bengkulu Province as a tourist destination that is not good enough in the minds of prospective tourists. Hence, Anjungan Bengkulu, which is located in Indonesian Miniature Park, Jakarta was having the effort to overcome this problem. Therefore, the researcher chose Cultural Event as the solution that can be implemented to improve the Destination Image of the province. On this study, the independent variable (X) was Cultural Event, consisting of Spectacularisation, Theme, Participation and Immersion. The dependent variable (Y) was Destination Image. The type of the research used was a descriptive explanatory survey, and supported by the cross-sectional method. The samples in this study were 108 respondents consisting of individual visitors at the Anjungan Bengkulu Cultural Event, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data analysis technique employed was multiple regressions. The result showed that the implementation of Cultural Event at Anjungan Bengkulu was assessed in the high category, with a dimension of "Spectacularisation" received highest score, and the lowest one was the "theme". Subsequently, visitors’ response regarding Destination Image at Anjungan Bengkulu was also categorized in a very high level, with a dimension of cognitive image received highest score and dimension of affective image became the lowest one. Results showed that there is a significant influence between Culture Event and Destination Image.

Abstract

The survey results conducted Director of Learning, engagement level for leaders The Park Lane Jakarta is quite a low of 23% when engagement leaders low then it is likely his engagement will be the same. Then with the implementation of the concept of gamification is expected to enhance the engagement of employees towards learning. Type of this research is descriptive research with survey method. To the object of research is the hotel The Park Lane Jakarta. The independent variable is the influence of the concept of the dependent variable and the gamification is the engagement of employees. For a data source used is the primary and secondary data of a population of 269 and value precision of 10%. Based on the results of research that the concept of gamification gives a significant impact on employee engagement, there is 38.4% against employee engagement. As well as according to hypothesis testing is evidenced by the receipt of the Ha and turned it on test of the Ho hypothesis.

Abstract

Dago Tea House is a cultural tourism based or commonly called cultural tourism that offers a variety of unique arts and cultures. This Study aims to identified and analyzed the existing tourist attraction in Dago Tea House from the internal aspects (strengths and weaknesses) of external aspects (opportunities and threats) and then formulate the direction of optimize of tourist attraction in a proper planning and strategy for Dago Tea House in how to be an alternative of culture tourism in Bandung city. The research method used is qualitative descriptive which is assisted by using Analysis SWOT. From the research and analysis in terms of general conditions and the attraction, amenity, accessibility and ancillary of Dago Tea House and got a score 2.74 in IFAS Matrix and 2.57 in the EFAS matrix. The result of rating analysis and weighting of internal and external aspect shows that Dago Tea House is in Quadrant 1 supporting the aggressive strategy which can be concluded include optimizing of tourist attraction and promotion.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that affect Perceived Quality in Mandala Wangsit Silliwangi Museum. Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi Museum is one of the tourist destinations in Bandung with the theme of history museum in Bandung city visited by both domestic tourists and foreign tourists. Based on data acquisition, it is known that the visit to Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi Museum has decreased, even in 2016 2017 there was a very drastic decrease of visit. One of the factors that caused the decrease of the visit was due to the low Satisfaction of tourists at Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi Museum. Visitor Satisfaction is one of the important aspects of tourist destinations. In this study, the independent variable (X) used is Perceived Quality which consists of Service Interaction, Service Evidence, Product Functionality and Product Enrichment. The dependent variable (Y) used is Visitor Satisfaction. The type of this research is descriptive verification. The method used is a survey using systematic random sampling technique with the number of respondents as much as 100 respondents who visited the Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi Museum. Data analysis technique and hypothesis test used is Multiple Regression. The results showed that Perceived Quality gives a significant influence on visitor satisfaction. The biggest influence on visitor Satisfaction at Mandala Wangsit Siliwangi Museum is Service Interaction. The lowest effect on the visiting decision is Product Enrichment; this aspect needs to be improved in activity on Product Enrichment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of leader’s visionary leadership and work motivation together towards lecturer job satisfaction in the Private Universities Hospitality Study Program in Bandung. The method used in this research is survey method with the level of explanation is associative. The Respondents in this research is using census with total of respondents are 57 respondents. The Data collection techniques are using literature study, study of documentation, and field studies using interviews and questionnaires. The Data analysis technique are using qualitative analysis and statistical analysis. Qualitative analysis includes scores of respondents, while the statistical analysis includes the path analysis. The result of this research shows that the influence of the leader’s visionary leadership and work motivation together towards is at 59,23%.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Palabuhanratu Sukabumi Regency, the aim of the study is to know about the organization of cultural tourism of fishermen party,tourist attraction of fisherman’s day activities, and the effectiveness of tourism promotion of fisherman’s day.This research uses descriptive qualitative research method and key informan as much as four people consisting of Tourism Office of Sukabumi Regency, Culture Youth and Sports Office, Fishermanday Chair, and Fishery Port of Nusantara Palabuhanratu. The result of research shows that, the organization of cultural tourism fishing party is very attractive for touristand held once a year which is followed by traditional ceremonies, cultural performances, parade of queen of fishermen and stakeholders, there is also a seaborn that the offerings to the sea and entourage of cultural performance and tourist.

Abstract

This research can be reference in the promotion of the use of celebrity endorser of guests staying at the Cottage Daarul Jannah. Formulation of the problem in the study of how the influence of celebrity endorser views of four dimensions: visibility, credibility, attraction, power of guests staying at the Cottage Daarul Jannah. By using the t test or testing in partial dimensions, visibility and credibility in the variable Celebrity endorsement do not affect significantly, whereas the dimension of the attraction and power has influence significantly. Testing by using the F test simultaneously or together the whole dimension of the celebrity endorsement effect significantly against the decision of the guest's stay

Abstract

This study aims to determine the customer satisfaction factors and dissatisfaction factors for International Luxury Hotels in Bandung based on online reviews in TripAdvisor and Agoda platform. There are two hotels as research objects; Sheraton Bandung Hotel and Towers and InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar. Content analysis techniques were conduct by analyzing 854 reviews representing consumer satisfaction and 30 reviews representing consumer dissatisfaction, obtained from two hotel platforms; TripAdvisor and Agoda.  The results reveal 12 satisfaction factors; room quality, employee, food and beverages product, view and ambience, facilities, service quality, cleanliness, location, design, value, internet, parking area, and security. Meanwhile there are 12 dissatisfaction factors; operation issue, cleanliness, room quality, facilities, bathroom quality, service quality, employee, lack of quietness, accessibility and location, price, food and beverage products, and security.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the importance of creating sustainable urban tourism. The method used is library research. Tourism is a useful activity that can preserve cultural and historical heritage and can prosper society. Throughout history, the city has become the focus of tourism activities, providing accommodation, entertainment and other facilities for tourists. Achieving sustainable urban development requires the preservation of historical sites and cultural structures. By preserving a cultural heritage, and reviving it in a new way, is one form of realization of effective sustainable development.

Abstract

The capital structure became the foundation for a company. Conditions of the capital structure will greatly affect the survival of a company. The financial manager is obliged to maintain the stability and the good condition of the capital structure with capital sourced from the selection of internal and external. The company's profit is the source of internal capital, so that profitability has a relationship with the capital structure. The purpose of this study was to obtain evidence on whether profitability has a negative impact on the capital structure. This study used secondary data from company financial statements of Consumer Goods Industry sector, more specifically Food and Beverage sub-sector obtained from the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI). The sample used was 14 companies of the food and beverage industry. The analysis technique used was a simple linear regression. The results showed that there was a negative effect on the profitability of the capital structure, which means that food and beverage companies have formed a theory of Pecking Order in which internal financing has used retained earnings.
