Abstract

Pada masa pandemi seperti saat ini website merupakan salah satu media yang sangat vital bagi sebuah Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi. Melalui website, Perpustakaan dapat memberikan informasi sekaligus memberikan layanan kepada para pemustaka secara daring. Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah/`Asiyiyah (PTMA) di Indonesia saat ini mencapai 174 Perguruan Tinggi (PT). Namun dari 174 PTMA tersebut hanya 43 PTMA yang mempunyai website perpustakaan. Salah satu faktor yang melatarbelakangi hal tersebut yaitu kurangnya SDM dalam proses pengembangan website perpustakaan. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan produk berupa Content Management System (CMS) berbasis web yang dapat digunakan oleh Perpustakaan PTMA sebagai media informasi. CMS tersebut didesain dengan sedemikian rupa sehingga pengguna tidak perlu lagi mahir dalam bahasa pemrograman. Dalam proses penelitiannya, peneliti menggunakan metode reseacrh and development (R&D). Ada beberapa tahapan dalam proses pengembangan sistem menurut metode ini. Tahapan tersebut meliputi analisis potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi sistem, revisi desain, ujicoba produk, revisi produk, uji coba pemakaian, revisi produk dan produksi masal. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa CMS yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti telah memenuhi standar kualitas website. Kesimpulan tersebut berdasarkan hasil uji coba produk melalui indikator usability, functionality, dan efficiency. Setelah CMS ini diimplementasikan oleh Perpustakaan PTMA, pengembangan sistem harus terus dilakukan karena kebutuhan sistem sewaktu-waktu akan berubah, sehingga harus dilakan ujicoba produk dan revisi produk secara berkala dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research was aimed to study librarians’ perceptions towards online library training during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a descriptive-qualitative and a triangulation method. A survey was conducted on eight librarians of PDDI-LIPI who had joined an in passing online librarian training via Eldika, a web-based application program developed by the National Library. The recorded perceptions were perceptions towards trainers, learning media/ platform, learning materials, and online training. The results were summarized into tables and narrative descriptions, then triangulated through direct interviews to explore the causes and solutions to problems related to the online training. The result of this research indicated that librarians’ perceptions towards all four online training indicators were positive. However, weakness was found regarding the online training platform. Based on the findings, this study suggested that the National Library and other institutions provide online librarian training to develop some more friendly platforms accessible for librarians with various IT skills, and an IT support service quickly responded during training.

Abstract

Technological advances have an impact on library services. This can be seen from the change in services that were previously manual but now use technology. The existence of technology in circulation services then developed again by presenting self service technology (SST).One of the libraries that implements a self-service system is the Grhatama Pustaka Yogyakarta Library. Grhatama library has visitors who vary in terms of age and status, including students, students and workers. Usability is an attribute used to measure the quality of the interface used by the user. Usability in self-service technology in libraries can be used to determine whether a technology-based service is appropriate and easy to use by users.This study aims to determine the effect of the level of usability in the application of self-service technology on user satisfaction in the library unit Grhatama Pustaka Yogyakarta and users consisting of three groups, namely students, students and workers. Usability consists of effectiveness, efficiency, aesthetic appearance, terminology, navigation, and learnability. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observation, literature study and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of usability self service technology on user satisfaction. In addition, there are differences in the level of influence of usability in self service technology on the satisfaction of the three groups of users in this study, namely students, students and workers

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai usaha preservasi Naskah Lontar Ubud yang dilakukan oleh website Puri Kauhan Ubud, dengan alamat halaman website yaitu https://purikauhanubud.org/. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran website Puri Kauhan Ubud dalam upaya preservasi nakah kuno Lontar Ubud.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi yang dilakukan di web Puri Kauhan Ubud, dan studi dari berbagai literatur yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa salah satu warisan budaya nenek moyang bangsa Indonesia yang sangat bernilai adalah naskah kuno yang ditulis dalam berbagai aksara dan bahasa. Salah satu diantaranya adalah Naskah Lontar Ubud, yang merupakan dokumen warisan leluhur Ubud, yang ditulis dengan tangan dalam media lontar sebelum dicetak. Terdapat 64 naskah lontar yang menjadi koleksi puri, untuk menjaganya tetap lestari dilakukanlah kegiatan digitalisasi Digitalisasi adalah proses alih media dari bentuk tercetak, audio, maupun video, dilakukan untuk membuat arsip dokumen digital. Digitalisasi memerlukan peralatan seperti komputer, scanner, operator, media, sumber, dan software. Sebagai usaha untuk preservasi informasi pada tahun 2019 Puri Kauhan Ubud meluncurkan website Purikauhanubud.org yang dibuatkan khusus untuk menjadi sarana publikasi

Abstract

This study discusses the constraints of the Bina Sriwijaya library. This study aims to identify the problems faced by librarians that cause the library has not implemented automation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation and interviews with the head of the library Bina Sriwijaya. The types and sources of data needed in the study are primary data and secondary data. In this study, researchers took 1 informant, namely the head of the library. Data collection techniques in this study, the authors use two ways, namely: library research and field research, namely direct research that is carried out directly on the object under study by means of: observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing and analysis techniques. The data processing and analysis technique in this research is qualitative data analysis, which is a non-statistical technique. There are three steps of qualitative data processing, namely: data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification. Based on the results of the study, there are several obstacles behind the Bina Sriwijaya College library which has not used the SLiMS application in its library, namely human resources and funding problems.

Abstract

This research was aimed to investigate empirically about Pustaka Lapau in increasing reading habits for the community. This research was conducted in Nagari Tuo Pariangan, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatera. Pustaka Lapau was operated in this village since 2018 and has been giving the significant contribution to the people in Pariangan. The purpose of this research is to know the impact of the program of Pustaka Lapau. It is also to know the problems in managing reading corner like Pustaka Lapau.  Qualitative method was used to conducting this research.  Data was collected through interview and observation to the location. After analyzing the data, the researcher finally concluded the finding of this research.  First, Pustaka Lapau is one of the solution for increasing reading habits of the people.  Second, Pustaka Lapau  gives significant contribution to enlarge people knowledge, science, economic and important information.  Third, Pustaka Lapau is one of the best strategies for implementing social inclusion in the community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for Arabic for IAIN Pekalongan librarians. There are several main duties and functions of the librarian that directly intersect with the Arabic language. This research is a qualitative research, because the data taken is in the form of written and spoken words. The IAIN Pekalongan Library was used as the locus of research with six librarians as the main informants. The capable method is used to obtain data with fishing rod, record, and record techniques. The data was tested using the completion method at the time of data retrieval. The data is then analyzed using interpretive descriptive methods. The results of this study show that IAIN Pekalongan librarians need Arabic language competence in supporting their performance, namely: collection development, library material processing (classification), and user services in the field of circulation

Abstract

Library as a place in developing community skills in order to do transformations that suitable for people need,  one of them is for transform into  libraries based on social inclusion. This research was done in order to describe about transforming of the village library "lentera desa" into libraries based on social inclusion to increase the community skills. This study involves descriptive qualitative methods with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The result of this study shows that the lentera desa library In transforming into libraries based on social inclusion with several parties, for example the departement of library and Trenggalek district archive and UMKM for create programs to the benefit of society. As for the activity programs that have carried out the lantern of the village such ast knit training, occulcer training, and dancing training. Some difficulry in applying the transformation are processing the administration of library activities that has not been done well, there is no an activity program for disability, anda lack of work in marketing of knit products.

Abstract

The existence of a home library in every family provides easier and guaranteed access to information from information that isn’t needed, can grow and develop children's reading interest and culture from an early age, and develop positive brushes and develop children's skills through quality reading. In the context of the Covid 19 pandemic, home libraries are a good alternative in improving children's literacy. This study aims to determine the role of the home library in improving children's literacy (study at Muhammadiyah University of Mataram). The research method uses a qualitative approach. Sources of data obtained through primary sources (direct informants) and secondary sources (books or journals) related to the research. The data collection procedure was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted. The results showed that the home library plays a role in growing and improving children's literacy such as reading, writing and arithmetic literacy. children's character literacy such as discipline, honesty, responsibility, manners, mutual love, and respect for each other .The role of the home library, among others; first, the home library as a source of children's reading. Second, as a child's learning media. Third, as a place for children's recreation. Fourth, as a medium for children's cultural education. And fifth, as a medium for children's character education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan teknologi informasi oleh mahasiswa program praktek kerja lapangan (PKL) di perpustakaan SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu jenis penelitian yang menggambarkan mengenai obyek yang dibicarakan sesuai kenyataan yang terjadi di perpustakaan SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Adapun metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan metode dokumentasi. Sedangkan Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Setelah dilakukan penelitian maka diperoleh, Teknologi informasi merupakan kemampuan teknis yang berlandaskan ilmu pengetahuan, ilmu eksakta yang berdasarkan proses teksnis. Teknologi informasi banyak digunakan dalam membantu pekerjaan karena dianggap lebih memudahkan, seperti halnya di perpustakaan SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram. Adapun teknologi yang diterapkan oleh mahasiswa program PKL di perpustakaan SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram adalah Senayan Library Management System (SLIMS) Versi 9 Bulian. Beberapa fitur-fitur yang tersedia di dalam Aplikasi Senayan Library Management System (SLIMS) yang diterapkan oleh mahasiswa program PKL di SMA Muhammadiyah Mataram, yaitu: 1) Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC); 2) Sirkulasi; 3) Manajemen Keanggotaan; 4) Manajemen Bibliograf; 5) Statistik dan Pelaporan.
