Abstract

This article explores the principles of science and the foundations of education from the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy using a literature review method. Islamic education is considered not merely the transmission of knowledge, but also a comprehensive effort to develop an individual's character as a whole. From an Islamic perspective, knowledge plays a significant role, not only as a tool to fulfill intellectual needs but also as a way to draw closer to Allah SWT and create a civilized society. Research findings indicate that Islamic education emphasizes the balance between spiritual, moral, and intellectual aspects, making Islamic educational philosophy the primary foundation for facing the challenges of the modern era and simultaneously producing a generation that is knowledgeable, virtuous, and capable of making a positive contribution to social life.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of internal and external school environments in determining the success of education policy implementation. Education policies, although well formulated, often face challenges during implementation due to variations in school capacity, organizational culture, and socio-political contexts. Using a qualitative library research method, this study examines various scholarly sources, journals, books, and academic documents that discuss policy implementation and environmental factors influencing schools. The results show that internal factors including communication, availability of resources, implementers' disposition, bureaucratic structure, and school culture serve as the foundational elements that shape schools' readiness and ability to implement policies effectively. Meanwhile, external factors such as regulatory support, political stability, socioeconomic conditions, and parental or community participation significantly influence the success of implementation by providing contextual support beyond the school. The study also highlights that the interaction between internal and external environments forms a holistic system in which imbalance in either dimension may hinder policy outcomes. The conclusion emphasizes that alignment between internal capacity and external support is essential for ensuring that education policies are executed optimally and achieve their intended goals.Keywords:internal environment, external environment, policy implementation, school management, education policy

Abstract

Konsistensi mengaji Al-Qur'an merupakan suatu sifat dalam diri seorang peserta didik dengan dimulai adanya paksaan yang secara bertahap berubah menjadi kebiasaan sehari-hari. Konsisten mengaji dapat diartikan dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan seseorang dengan terus menerus mengaji setiap hari secara otomatis dengan sendirinya tanpa adanya paksaan dan perintah. Banyak strategi yang dapat meningkatkan peserta didik untuk mengaji Al-Qur'an dengan istiqamah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana strategi yang diterapkan guru PAI agar dapat meningkatkan konsistensi mengaji Al-Qur'an siswa kelas VIII-A di SMP Unggulan Amanatul Ummah Surabaya serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis peneltian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi penelitian lapangan. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dengan melalui reduksi data, Penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan (1) penumbuhan sikap konsisten mengaji Al-Qur'an dengan pengadaan program TPQ setiap pagi hari di kelas masing-masing sebelum salat Duha. (2) strategi guru PAI dalam meningkatkan konsistensi mengaji Al-Qur'an dengan memberikan motivasi, suri tauladan, dan penugasan mengaji Al-Qur'an di rumah masing-masing. (3) faktor pendukung strategi guru PAI dalam menumbuhkan konsistensi mengaji Al-Qur'an adalah: peran antar komponen sekolah, sarana prasarana, program kegiatan, kedisiplinan siswa, dan kepedulian orang tua.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to analyze and formulate a philosophical approach to the management of Islamic educational institutions at Madrasah Aliyah Aliyah Al-Amiriyyah Darussalam, based on values and ethics, in order to produce a holistic, ethical, and contextual management model. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore the application of a philosophical approach in the management of Madrasah Aliyah Aliyah Al-Amiriyyah Darussalam, based on values and ethics. The research subjects included the madrasah principal, teachers, administrative staff, students, and parents. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed thematically with triangulation for validity. Philosophical reflection served as an analytical framework, linking the findings to the ontological, epistemological, and axionomic principles of Islamic education, to formulate a holistic, ethical, and contextual management model. The management of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Amiriyyah Darussalam applies a philosophical approach based on Islamic values and ethics, so that management focuses not only on administrative matters but also on the holistic development of students' character, morals, and spirituality. A foundation of values and ethics forms the basis for decision-making, while philosophical reflection helps balance operational demands with broader educational goals. A values-based collaborative approach engages teachers, staff, students, and parents, strengthening social legitimacy, community participation, transparency, and accountability. This practice integrates modern management principles of Ethical Management, Transformational Leadership, Participative Leadership, and Community-Based Educational Management with Islamic educational philosophy, enabling madrasahs to become models of holistic, ethical, contextual, and sustainable educational management.??

Abstract

The digital transformation occurring within Islamic educational institutions requires a more adaptive and professional management system capable of meeting the demands for efficiency, accountability, and quality improvement. This study aims to analyze the implementation of fundamental Islamic educational management functions (POAC: Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) within a technology-based management system at Al-Ma'soem Islamic Boarding School, as well as to identify the challenges and opportunities emerging from this digitalization process. Employing a qualitative field-study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, limited observations, and document analysis related to the digital management system. The findings indicate that planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling have been integrated through the use of management information systems, digital-competence-based staff recruitment, the utilization of digital administrative and learning applications, and monitoring mechanisms supported by dashboards and content-filtering systems. The results confirm that digitalization enhances the effectiveness of pesantren governance, although its success depends heavily on human resource readiness, infrastructure stability, and an organizational culture supportive of innovation. Theoretically, this study expands the discourse on Islamic educational management by offering the POAC-Digital concept, which integrates technological adaptation with Islamic values. Practically, the findings provide a strategic reference for developing modern pesantren management models that are more effective, accountable, and quality-oriented.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse in depth how the implementation of an integrated habituation strategy can strengthen students' religious character and social awareness at SDN 01 Sidoharjo Jati Agung, South Lampung, as a systematic effort to respond to the challenge of character value degradation at the primary education level. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design to understand the implementation of the integrated habituation strategy in reinforcing students' religious character and social awareness at SDN 01 Sidoharjo Jati Agung, South Lampung. The research subjects include the principal, teachers, and students directly involved. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of school programs. The analysis was carried out thematically through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data credibility was maintained through triangulation and member checking. This method produced an in-depth picture of the effectiveness of the integrated habituation strategy in shaping students' character. The findings show that the implementation of the integrated habituation strategy at SDN 01 Sidoharjo Jati Agung is carried out consistently and has become part of the school culture, supporting the strengthening of students' religious character and social awareness. Structured and repetitive religious habituation contributes to the internalisation of values such as faith, discipline, honesty, and responsibility, which are reflected in students' daily behaviour. In addition, social activities such as group work, joint cleaning, and peer interaction enhance students' empathy, concern for others, and social compliance. This strategy forms whole, ethical, and socially sensitive character, affirming that integrated habituation is an effective mechanism for comprehensive character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Teacher discipline is a fundamental factor in improving the quality of education, as it is directly related to professional responsibility and the effectiveness of learning. In this context, the principal plays a strategic role as a leader, mentor, and key motivator in fostering a culture of discipline within the school environment. This study aims to identify the principal's strategies in enhancing teacher discipline and the factors that influence it at SDN 2 Pancor. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the findings was ensured through source triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the principal implements various strategies to promote teacher discipline, including the establishment of duty schedules, role modeling in attendance and behavior, implementation of a reward and punishment system, regular evaluations, the requirement for teachers to prepare lesson plans, and collaboration with the school community, committee, and parents. Factors influencing the success of these strategies include teacher compliance with working hours, consistency of attendance, and preparedness of teaching materials. Therefore, the strategies implemented by the principal at SDN 2 Pancor have proven effective in improving teacher discipline. These strategies not only foster a sense of responsibility and order but also strengthen a professional work culture oriented toward enhancing the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the management of teacher learning based on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) within teacher learning communities at Senior High Schools (SMA) in Aceh Tenggara Regency. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects included principals, teachers, and learning community facilitators at SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane and SMA Negeri 3 Kutacane. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that: (1) in the planning stage, TPACK-based learning at SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane and SMA Negeri 3 Kutacane was designed through the development of teacher learning community programs, planning of TPACK training, guidance in selecting instructional media and technology, and the formulation of school policies supporting TPACK integration; (2) in the implementation stage, principals in both schools played an active role in facilitating TPACK training and workshops, encouraging teacher collaboration within learning communities, supervising the implementation of technology-based learning, and providing supporting technological facilities and infrastructure; and (3) in the evaluation stage, the implementation of TPACK at SMA Negeri 1 Kutacane and SMA Negeri 3 Kutacane was monitored through classroom supervision and observation, followed up by addressing challenges in technology use, utilized as a basis for improving instructional planning, and documented in evaluation reports to support the development of teacher learning communities. The findings indicate that the management of TPACK-based teacher learning within learning communities at senior high schools in Aceh Tenggara Regency has been implemented systematically and sustainably through principal leadership, teacher collaboration, and school management support. Therefore, the implementation of TPACK does not solely depend on individual teacher competence, but is strongly influenced by well-directed and sustainable management of teacher learning communities

Abstract

This study aims to examine Public Relations (PR) management in Islamic preaching and education through the use of digital media to enhance the institutional image of KAHFI BBC Motivator School. With the development of digital technology, Islamic educational institutions, including KAHFI BBC, face the challenge of adapting to these changes to strengthen their institutional image. This research employs a quantitative approach using survey methods, and data analysis is conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The variables analyzed include digital communication strategies, frequency and consistency of digital content, stakeholder involvement, and the institutional image of Islamic educational institutions as the dependent variable. The findings show that the frequency and consistency of digital content and communication strategies in digital media significantly influence the institutional image. However, stakeholder involvement in managing digital media did not have a significant impact. The R-Square value of 0.4158 indicates that the effective use of digital media can improve the institutional image, although other factors also contribute. This study also demonstrates that integrating Islamic values with modern PR strategies through digital media can have a positive impact on enhancing institutional reputation. The findings offer practical recommendations for other Islamic educational institutions to optimize the use of digital media in building their positive image in the digital era.

Abstract

?Management philosophy is often viewed as an abstract realm separate from day-to-day managerial practice. However, this research argues that it is the philosophical foundation that provides the strength and sustainability for every management action. This article aims to examine in depth the role of management philosophy through three main lenses: ontology, epistemology, and axiology, in responding to contemporary organizational challenges. The research method employed is a systematic qualitative literature study, collecting and analyzing primary and secondary sources from selected publications in the 2020-2025 period, supplemented by qualitative data from semi-structured interviews with ten management practitioners. The results reveal that organizations that consciously integrate philosophical reflection into their strategy and operations demonstrate higher resilience in facing disruption, improvement in ethical decision-making, and increased employee engagement. Ontological analysis reveals a shift in understanding the nature of organizations from mechanistic entities to adaptive living systems. Epistemological examination shows that valid management knowledge arises from the synthesis of empirical evidence, critical reflection, and contextual wisdom. Meanwhile, the axiological approach affirms that values such as justice, sustainability, and transparency are not merely complements but primary drivers of long-term performance. The discussion in this article connects these findings with classical and contemporary management theories, demonstrating that philosophy acts as a bridge connecting theory with practice, and fills the gap between technical efficiency and human meaning in work. This article concludes that neglecting the philosophical dimension in management is a form of strategic risk. Therefore, this article recommends that management education and leadership development strengthen the philosophical curriculum, and organizations encourage a culture of critical reflection to build a more resilient and meaningful future.??
