Abstract

This study examines how Islamic madrasah curricula are often administratively replicated without embedding Islamic values or local wisdom. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, we surveyed 64 teachers and curriculum coordinators, then conducted 12 in-depth interviews. Quantitative analyses (descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, simple regression) revealed that 78% of documents received only superficial identity changes and only 27% of teachers participated actively. Teacher engagement correlated strongly with document originality (r = 0.62; p < 0.01), while supervisory effectiveness explained 28% of quality variation. Qualitative themes highlight teachers’ technical unpreparedness, viewing curriculum as an administrative burden, and a need for on-site case-based coaching. We propose a participatory mentoring model combining on-site training and document review to boost teachers’ technical capacity and foster authentic, reflective, context-relevant curricula. Recommendations focus on sustained supervisory policy and co-design of curricula by teachers and supervisors.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the principal's efforts in fostering organizational culture at MTs Darunnajah Jakarta, particularly in creating an educational climate that supports character development, discipline, and quality of learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, administrative staff, and students, participant observation of madrasah activities, and documentation analysis. The data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that organizational culture at MTs Darunnajah Jakarta is characterized by the existence of behavioral rules, norms, and dominant values that emphasize respect, politeness, discipline, and kinship. The principal plays a central role in fostering this culture through structural strategies, such as religious programs and routine activities, as well as non-structural strategies such as role models, moral development, and democratic communication. Supporting factors for fostering organizational culture include parental involvement, teacher loyalty, and the existence of character-building programs, while inhibiting factors include limited resources and the inactivity of some teachers and students. These findings emphasize the importance of visionary, transformational, and participatory leadership in building a productive and competitive organizational culture in madrasas.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Nisaiyah Program at Pondok Pesantren An-Nur Darunnajah 8 Cidokom, Indonesia, a character education initiative specifically designed for female students (santri). It aims to evaluate the enabling factors, barriers, and overall effectiveness of the program in achieving its holistic character education objectives. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was applied, with data validity ensured via source triangulation. The findings reveal that while the Nisaiyah Program is underpinned by a sound conceptual design and strong leadership commitment, its effectiveness is significantly constrained by systemic challenges. Key impediments include inconsistent curriculum delivery, inadequate physical resources, a lack of a structured mentoring system, and managerial inefficiencies such as a saturated schedule and diffuse management ownership. Analysis through the lenses of the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR) and Total Quality Management (TQM) principles demonstrates how the interplay of barriers within the inner setting and implementation process curtails the program's potential. The study concludes that the success of educational innovations within Islamic boarding schools necessitates a synergistic alignment of vision, robust operational systems, and dedicated resource allocation. The implications call for systemic improvements in curriculum fidelity, mentoring frameworks, and infrastructure. Future research should pursue longitudinal studies on the program's long-term impact, comparative case studies across pesantren, and investigations into strategies for cultivating positive peer cultures that reinforce program objectives

Abstract

 Penelitian dalam skripsi ini dilatar belakangi oleh sebuah fenomena dalam proses pembelajaran yang ada di MTs Negeri 1 Aceh Selatan, saat proses pembelajaran mata pelajaran Fiqih, terdapat siswa yang kurang memperhatikan pembelajaran yang sedang berlangsung, ada yang asik berbicara dengan teman sebangkunya, ada yang tidur di atas meja bahkan ada yang dengan sengaja melemparkan gumpalan kertas kepada teman-teman. Sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa menurun dalam pelajaran Fiqih dengan nilai rata-rata siswa 60,80 dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa 32% pada pra siklus. maka peneliti mencoba menggunakan metode Snobwall Throwing. Diharapkan akan ada peningkatan hasil belajar dan membuat proses belajar mengajar menjadi lebih baik, Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa di kelas dan juga meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui Metode Snobwall Throwing pada pelajaran Fiqih di kelas VIII-A MTs Negeri 1 Aceh Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Class Action Research) sebanyak dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas VIII-A MTs Negeri 1 Aceh Selatan berjumlah 25 siswa diambil secara total sampling dalam penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket dan tes. Sementara instrument pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, angket dan soal tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kolaboratif yaitu pengumpulan data secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata nilai 87.38%, dan respon siswa 81,60% yang berkategori baik. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa dengan penggunaan metode Snobwall Throwing pada mata pelajaran Fiqih dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII-A MTs Negeri 1 Aceh Selatan. Berdasarkan kesimpulan ini, maka disarankan kepada rekan guru agar menguasai dan mencoba menerapkan model pembelajaran terbaru seperti metode Snobwall Throwing supaya suasana pembelajaran bisa hidup, bervariasi dan terbukti efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to explore Erik H. Erikson’s ideas on the psychosocial development of children and their relevance to religious growth. Erikson’s theory, which highlights eight stages of human development particularly early childhood suggests that children’s religious experiences are closely linked to the formation of trust, autonomy, and initiative. This research employs a qualitative approach through a literature study. The findings indicate that children’s religious development cannot be separated from their psychosocial dynamics, emphasizing the vital role of parents and the surrounding environment in nurturing religious values.

Abstract

The improvement of literacy and numeracy quality is a major challenge in primary education in Indonesia, including in madrasah ibtidaiyah. Various international reports such as the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) and the National Assessment (AN) show the low achievement of Indonesian students in reading, mathematics, and science. This condition is worsened by the dense madrasah curriculum, limited facilities and infrastructure, and the dominance of traditional teacher-centered learning methods. This study aims to analyze innovative learning strategies relevant to improving literacy and numeracy skills among madrasah ibtidaiyah students while maintaining Islamic identity. The method used is library research with a descriptive-analytical approach through a review of academic literature, educational policies, and student achievement data. The study results indicate that strategies such as Project-Based Learning, digital technology integration, and context-based approaches linked to everyday life and religious values are effective in developing students’ critical, creative, collaborative, and communicative thinking skills. The implementation of these strategies not only increases learning motivation but also makes literacy and numeracy more applicable and meaningful as life skills aligned with the teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith. Thus, innovative learning strategies have the potential to become an important instrument in improving the quality of Islamic primary education in Indonesia while shaping a generation that is intelligent, critical, creative, and of noble character."

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in transforming individuals with negative behavior into those with good character, and one of the most important forms of education in this era is moral education. Moral education is not only relevant in addressing the challenges of globalization but also serves as a solution for developing strong personalities amidst the pervasive influence of foreign cultures and other negative aspects. This study aims to examine how moral education is implemented at SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya, a character-based school with the motto “Achievement with Morality.” The research adopts a qualitative ethnographic approach grounded in the naturalistic or phenomenological paradigm, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. In shaping students’ morals, the roles of teachers and parents are essential, particularly in monitoring all student activities. SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya offers various programs designed to build students’ moral character, such as the Nine Superior Programs, extracurricular activities, and daily habituation practices at school."

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the implementation of tauhid values in the Islamic education management system amid the dynamics of modern society. Modernization brings social, cultural, and moral changes that affect the orientation of education. Tauhid values, as the core of Islamic teachings, must be the basis in every aspect of education management so that Islamic educational institutions are not only oriented towards academic achievement but also towards character building and spirituality of students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. The results of the study show that tauhid values can be implemented in education management through the dimensions of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating education. The integration of tauhid values makes Islamic education management more oriented towards a balance between worldly and spiritual aspects, intellectual and moral aspects, as well as individual and social aspects

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of virtual communication media on material comprehension in online learning at universities. The shift from face-to-face learning to online learning due to the Covid pandemic requires the use of virtual platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams as the main means of communication between lecturers and students. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with the distribution of questionnaires to students from various university faculties. The results show that virtual communication media play a significant role in improving material comprehension, especially when there is active interaction between teachers and students. A total of 72% of respondents stated that learning through virtual media was effective, while 18% said it was quite effective, and 10% said it was ineffective. The main factors affecting effectiveness were the quality of interaction, internet connection stability, and the ability of lecturers to utilize virtual media features. Thus, online learning can be an effective alternative if supported by technological readiness, interactive communication strategies, and adequate digital competence from all parties

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of academic supervision by school principals in an effort to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. Academic supervision is one of the managerial functions of school principals that focuses on the professional development of teachers in carrying out the learning process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach in one public elementary school. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation of the principal, teachers, and educational staff. The results of the study indicate that planned, systematic, and continuous academic supervision can improve teachers' competence in designing, implementing, and evaluating the learning process. The impact can be seen in increased student engagement, a more conducive classroom atmosphere, and more optimal learning outcomes. Thus, the implementation of academic supervision by the principal plays a significant role in improving the quality of learning in elementary schools.
