This research addresses the topic of improving intensive reading instruction (in Arabic) through the development of teaching materials aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The research focuses on the extent to which the educational content is aligned with the proficiency level of learners, particularly at levels A2-B1, which include skills such as understanding the main idea, inferring implicit meanings, and analyzing the discourse structure of texts. The study adopted the ADDIE research and development (R&D) model, starting with needs analysis and ending with the evaluation of the effectiveness of the teaching materials. The results of expert verification and limited testing showed that CEFR-based teaching materials contribute to a significant improvement in reading proficiency, particularly in terms of reading fluency, accuracy of comprehension, and the ability to interpret contextual meanings. This study confirms that integrating the CEFR not only standardizes teaching criteria, but also makes the learning process more structured, gradual, and aligned with the development of students' ability to understand Arabic texts in depth.

Good language is when the intended meaning can be conveyed by the words and sentences spoken. In addition, the choice of appropriate words is a key consideration in speaking. The words spoken should not be unfamiliar to the listener so that they are easy to understand. When conveying a message, it is best to use concise language that represents the intended meaning. When describing the nature of heaven, which is intangible, it is necessary to use language that is precise and capable of depicting heaven and all its attributes as if they were real. One example of such descriptions can be found in the names that refer to the meaning of heaven itself, such as jannah, dar maqamah, dar as salam, ar rahmah, dar an naim, and firdaus. Thus, anyone who hears these names can easily grasp and visualize them, making them worthy of striving for in this world. This paper will explore the messages and meanings contained in several names of paradise found in the Qur'an. Beyond their names, these terms also carry specific attributes that represent particular conditions. The method used is qualitative descriptive. Through this approach, it becomes evident how the language of the Quran seeks to bring the meaning of paradise closer to all humanity, even though it was initially addressed to the Arab people using their language (Arabic) to ensure ease of understanding.

This study aims to explore the application of the Active Knowledge Sharing strategy combined with Instagram Reels as a digital media platform in teaching maharah kalam (Arabic speaking skills) among eighth-grade students at MTs Aisyiyah 1 Palembang. The study employs a mixed method approach, integrating both qualitative and quantitative data through classroom observation, interviews, and pre-test/post-test instruments. The implementation process revealed that students were actively engaged in learning activities, particularly in creating short video dialogues using Arabic expressions. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students' speaking abilities, supported by increased motivation, collaboration, and creativity during the learning process. The use of Instagram Reels effectively enhanced students' confidence and participation, making learning more enjoyable and relevant to their digital-oriented lifestyle. This study suggests that integrating familiar digital platforms with collaborative strategies can provide a meaningful impact on language learning outcomes. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of aligning instructional design with learners' media habits to create more engaging and contextualized experiences. War and collective trauma often appear in modern Arabic literature, especially in works that reflect the socio-political conditions in the Arab world. Shahad al-Rawi's novel Sa'atu al-Baghdad depicts childhood experiences in Baghdad during war, embargo, and destruction. The narrative of this novel is not only built from the story, but also from the structure and complex relationships between characters. This study aims to analyze the narrative structure of the novel using A. J. Greimas' narrative semiotics approach, especially the actant scheme and functional structure. The method used is qualitative-descriptive with reading and note-taking techniques. The results of the study show that the main character acts as a subject who is driven by past memories to find the meaning of life. The relationship between actants such as family, friends, and lovers acts as supporters, while war and trauma act as opponents that strengthen the dynamics of the story. The functional structure describes the psychological transformation of the main character from an initial peaceful situation, experiencing an existential crisis, to achieving inner stability. Greimas' narrative semiotic theory successfully reveals the depth of the story structure and meaning of this novel. This study contributes to the narrative analysis of modern Arabic novels by applying Greimas' semiotic model, which has never been used before in this literary text.

This study aims to compare the translation quality of Arabic texts from Mulakhkhas Qawa'id Al-Lughah Al-‘Arabiyyah by Fuad Ni'mah, translated by Abu Ahmad Al-Mutarjim and by the machine translation tool QuillBot.Ai. A qualitative descriptive approach is employed, using Peter Newmark's translation theory as the analytical framework, particularly focusing on the aspects of accuracy, acceptability, and clarity. The data consists of vocabulary and sentence structures analyzed to evaluate how well each translator conveys the original meaning of the text into Indonesian.The findings reveal that the human translator performs better in preserving the context, structure, and intended meaning of the original text. In contrast, QuillBot.Ai tends to produce meaning distortion and lacks conformity to proper linguistic norms in Indonesian. This suggests that although machine translation can assist in translation tasks, human intervention remains crucial, especially in translating scientific and religious texts.This study contributes to the understanding of the limitations of machine translation and recommends further research into human-machine collaboration in translation practices.

Arabic language learning with a functional approach through the Community Language Learning (CLL) method aims to develop students' communication skills in real contexts. This approach emphasizes language as a tool for social interaction, not just grammatical rules. In practice, CLL encourages collaboration between students in a supportive atmosphere, thereby increasing self-confidence and practical understanding of the language. Teachers act as facilitators in creating participatory activities such as group discussions and role-playing. Technology integration in CLL also enriches the learning experience and encourages student independence. Real performance-based assessments are used to measure students' communication skills. In addition to linguistic aspects, this approach also fosters character values such as empathy and cooperation. Thus, the functional approach through CLL is expected to produce a generation that is communicative, collaborative, and sensitive to socio-cultural values in facing global challenges.

Arabic language education in Indonesia is still largely dominated by traditional teacher-centered approaches, rendering it less compatible with the demands of the 21st century. Within the context of national educational reform, the concept of deep learning-which emphasizes mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning-has been introduced as an innovative alternative. This study aims to explore the potential and challenges of integrating deep learning into the Arabic language curriculum in Indonesia. This research employs a library-based method by analyzing academic literature related to the application of deep learning in language education. The findings indicate that implementing deep learning in Arabic instruction can enhance student engagement, deepen conceptual understanding, and create a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. However, this integration faces several challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, insufficient teacher readiness, diverse student characteristics, and reliance on conventional assessment systems. The study concludes that deep learning holds significant potential to transform Arabic language education in Indonesia. Nevertheless, its success depends heavily on the overall preparedness of the educational system. The implications highlight the importance of teacher training, digital resource development, and assessment reform to support sustainable pedagogical transformation.

This research discusses the phenomenon of literary democratisation in the context of digital literary criticism, which has changed the traditional landscape in the process of creating, distributing and evaluating literary works. Literary democratisation refers to the open access and participation of various layers of society in the world of literature, supported by digital technology. This research aims to identify the role of digital literary criticism as an inclusive medium in supporting the engagement of the community of readers and writers, and analyse its impact on the development of literary aesthetics. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this research utilises secondary data in the form of journal articles, books, and relevant digital literary works. The results show that digital literary criticism not only expands the discussion space through online platforms such as blogs, social media, and literacy forums, but also creates a new culture of literary appreciation that is more interactive and inclusive. Nonetheless, challenges such as community fragmentation, validity of criticism, and loss of quality control are still important issues. This research confirms that digital literary criticism has great potential to support the democratisation of literature, while encouraging the development of values of inclusivity, diversity and innovation in the world of literature.

The relationship between language, mind and culture is inherent and mutually influential. One of the familier theories regarding the relationship between the three is the Sapir -Whorf theory. The purpose of this writing is to find out the influence of Arabic vocabulary and structure on the way of thinking and learning culture of Maskanul Huffadz Lil Lughoh students based on the Sapir-Whorf perspective. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques, using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the analysis of the data found that mastery of Arabic vocabulary and structure on the way of thinking and learning culture of Maskanul al-Huffadz Li al-Lughoh students affects the way of thinking about time and sequence of events. This is evident from the results of the analysis of the answers of the students who feel that after learning Arabic they are more able to think logically and systematically when they want to plan activities. They are more accustomed to distinguishing clearly between actions that have been completed, are in progress, or will be carried out. The students also become more analytical and detailed in processing information because they have to understand complex grammar and rich vocabulary.

This study aims to analyze and demonstrate the influence of using Arabic-language cartoon films as audio-visual media in improving the **maharah istima'** (listening skills) of tenth-grade students at Pondok Pesantren Modern Darussalam Langkat. The main problem underlying this research is the students' difficulty in communicating and listening to Arabic, caused by the lack of engaging and interactive audio-visual learning media. By employing a qualitative approach and a naturalistic method, this study observes the learning process to gain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of such media. The results show that Arabic-language cartoon films significantly enhance students' ability to identify vocabulary and expressions, while also fostering greater learning interest. It is expected that this research can provide innovative solutions for educators to make Arabic language learning more effective and enjoyable.
