Abstract

UD. Surya Palm is about 20 km to the east of Denpasar, namely in Banjar Kertiyasa, Bona Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. UD. UD. Surya Palm as a program partner SME is a small business engaged in crafting a variety of woven ornaments with the main raw material of mendong rope with woven models produced including lamp ornaments, model ornaments in various forms namely the shape of dogs, giraffes, horses, pigs and elephants. Palm Light is 23 km to the east of Denpasar, namely in the Banjar Pasedana, Bona Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, Bali. UD. Cahaya Palm as a program partner SME is a small business engaged in the craft of various woven bags and wallets with the main raw materials of palm leaves and pandanus. The second product of the UKM has not only been marketed in Bali and Java, but has also become an export commodity to the destination countries, namely the Netherlands, Australia, Britain, Japan and Hawaii.The problems faced in developing handicrafts are very varied starting from human resources and competencies of craftsmen, technology, marketing, capital, including sources of raw materials, "From the results of team observations, it appears that the two SMEs, for the sake of sustainability, are very worthy of coaching and assistance from the government in this case the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education through Higher Education on an ongoing basis so as to increase production capacity and quality The purpose of this program is to be able to assist craftsmen in overcoming obstacles faced in developing their business. which is quite large on the quality of products and work productivity of SMEs and provides immediate benefits, namely the high motivation and enthusiasm of SME managers in advancing businesses so that later they become SMEs capable of producing products nationally and internationally and finally can contribute to increasing production, quality and turnover respectively.

Abstract

Ceramic crafts are one of the flagship products of the Tabanan region. Dwi Sula and Toy Arsa are handicraft businesses that produce ceramic products. Dwi Sula are located in Banjar Pamesan, Pejaten Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. While Arsa Toy is located in Banjar Simpangan, Pejaten Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. At present, there are several obstacles to the ceramics business such as lack of order in ceramic products, production equipment, and limitations in marketing. Based on the problems faced, there will be gradual activities namely production and marketing management. Activities began with socialization, provision of production equipment, arrangement of product display, creation of online media accounts in the form of social media and e-commerce and training in online media use. The achievement indicators of this activity are the product display arrangement reached 50%, the amount of product production increased by 50%, the use of online marketing media, and there is an increase in the product market by 50%. After the activity was carried out, the activity of arranging the display of the target product was achieved, namely 80% of the products had been displayed on the display. The use of online marketing media targets is achieved, 2 SME members can use online marketing media. For an increase in the amount of production reached 50%. To increase the product market reached 50%.

Abstract

PPUPIK Pusat Produksi Benih Bersertifikat Unismuh Makassar was established with the aim of meeting the community's need for quality seed crops according to standards and obtaining certification. This activity was inspired by the results of lecturer research at the University of Muhammadiyah Makassar related to seed production and the development of appropriate technology to support seed production as well as the availability of skilled and trained human resources in carrying out seed production and other appropriate technologies. The main products of PPUPIK Pusat Produksi Benih Bersertifikat Unismuh Makassar are hybrid corn seeds and the additional products are plant seeds, planting media, compost, terrarium, hydroponic installations and hydroponic vegetables. Hybrid corn seeds are produced using crossing technology and production techniques in accordance with technical instructions for hybrid corn seed production. The main seed used is certified seed produced by Balitseral Maros. Product marketing is carried out directly at the PPUPIK Office tower building Iqra,6th Floor,Faculty of Agriculture Muhammadiyah University of Makassar and on line marketing through the website www.ppupikbenihunismuh.com Production sustainability is carried out by forming partnerships with corn farmer groups, and for marketing partnerships with breeding companies. This activity is a place of practice for students of the Faculty of Agriculture's Department of Agrotechnology and Agribusiness, generating income, and new entrepreneurs as well as developing the entrepreneurial spirit of lecturers and students.

Abstract

When used properly, over-the-counter and over-the-counter drugs should be able to help the community in self-medication safely and effectively. But unfortunately, it is often found that the treatment itself becomes very wasteful because it takes drugs that are not really needed, or can be dangerous, for example because of the use that is not in accordance with the rules of use. However, over-the-counter and free drugs are not necessarily free of side-effects, so their use should be in accordance with the indications, duration of correct use, accompanied by user knowledge of the risks of side effects and contraindications (Suryawati, 1997). Although it looks simple, drug use may pose many risks, from mild to severe risk that can result in death. In response to these problems, we are implementing community service with a target so that people understand how rational drug management and use in households and communities can utilize the first aid box in public places. To improve the community's knowledge on drug management in household and rational drug usage will be counseling coupled with discussion using Community Based Interactive Activity Approach Method (CBIA) Method. Devotion performed on May 7, 2017 located in Banjar Sakah, Pemogan Village, Kec. Denpasar Selatan. To assess the effectiveness of the program, several samples were taken to follow pre test and post test. According to the results of the analysis of pre test and post test samples generally seen an increase in knowledge of participants, but a statistically significant increase only knowledge on question 9 part 2 that is the understanding of respondents about kontraindikasi.

Abstract

Real conditions in the field The production of seaweed (C, racemosa and C. lentillifera) in Tual, Southeast Maluku Regency has tended to decline, due to the high intensity of extraction in nature without any attempt to control the cultivation. seaweed cultivation (C.racemosa and C.lentilifera) with a modified basic method so that it is hoped that this modification can increase the growth and density of seaweed in nature. Besides that, it can change the mindset of the people who have been taken away without thinking about cultivation. Even though the seaweed cultivation is actually a form of control and an effort to maintain the seaweed stock in nature by paying attention to the quality of the content of the seaweed. The aim of the application of science and technology for the community is to increase Caulerpa stock in nature by applying cultivation methods that can be done by utilizing local materials so that it can increase income for the people of Ohoi Wab Ngufar.

Abstract

Surya Wisata Senior High School (SMA) Kediri District and National Vocational School in Tabanan Regency are two schools as target partners. Problems that arise in these two schools related to the application of science and technology to society (Ib.M) are 1). lack of interest in reading students; 2, the low interest in writing students, 3) teachers rarely use the media in the process of learning to read and write; 4) students do not have skills in reading and writing, 5). teachers and students do not have school media as a medium of journalistic expression, 6) teachers and students do not have school journalistic understanding and skills; 7). Teachers and students have never managed school magazines as part of entrepreneurship. To overcome all of the above problems, both schools form student journalistic groups to strengthen literacy reading and writing. This group is responsible for facilitating students' interest in reading and writing by: covering school activities, reporting, designing, deciphering changes and publishing school magazines. Activities given to partner schools by providing education and journalistic training for two days. This activity invited competent speakers in their fields such as journalists, academics and journalistic practitioners. This Training and Education As an effort to provide understanding, skills and management of journalists' tasks on reading literacy, creative writing and school journalism. Then a selection was made of the writings of the students' work to be fit in the school magazine. Making magazines in schools to accommodate students 'interest in reading and writing so that it becomes a movement to cultivate students' interest in reading and writing. In addition, students get experience in organization, entrepreneurship, and media management management involving school residents.

Abstract

IbM'sactivities at SD Muhammadiyah aim to improve the professionalism of Muhammadiyah elementary school teachers through the transfer of science and technology that is useful in improving the quality of education in Kabupaten Kupang in particular as well as national education in general. IbM activities focused on media development materials and teaching materials using PAIKEM learning model and PTK training aimed at teachers of Muhammadiyah elementary schools in various fields or subjects. Professionalism for teachers in SD Muhammadiyah I and SD Muhammadiyah II Kupang need to be improved in order to run the teaching learning process in accordance with national education standards so as to produce graduates of students competing with other schools and teachers can carry out their profession by conducting classroom action research. The materials chosen in the activities include the implementation of learning models, how to develop learning tools, and the development of instructional media. The methods applied in the form of lectures on all training materials, demonstrations, assignments to participants, discussion (question and answer), assessment and evaluation of the ability of participants in accordance with the material presented and followed by mentoring activities as a follow-up of training activities. The success of IbM activities can be seen from the increasing understanding of teachers in analyzing a need for teaching materials or teachers have a broad understanding and insight related to how to develop and develop contextual based teaching materials. The ability of teachers in preparing classroom action research can also be said to experience an improvement after the activities of IbM in SD Muhammadiyah Kupang.

Abstract

Sandrobone is a villagein Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesiawith low education and low income, which lead to environmental degradation due to overexploitation of itsnatural resources, such as over-conversion of mangrove forests to fishponds, destructive fishing and unmanaged household waste disposal. Nowadays, the mangroves area are depleting, fishing ground are far away, and biodiversity are degrading in the area. Therefore, weneed to find alternative livelihoods to overcome environmental damage and increase theincome of local communities. One solution is the development of tourism. Sanrobone has a potential of cultural tourism, such as Sanrobone Fortress and Sanrobone Kings Cemetery, which can be promoted and developed in order to improve the welfare of the community because it is supported by nature, community life, and socio-cultural conditions. However, there are still minimal visitors (domestic and foreign tourists) to the area because tourism facilities and infrastructure are very limited to meet the needs of the tourist. To overcome and reduce this problem, the promotion activities was carried out as a first step, including: 1) socialization of the tourism object to Takalar District government and the Sanrobone community; 2) creating a tourist map and setting up a sign board for tourist; 3) making a promotion video fortourism on social media; 4) promotionof the tourism object viaradio and leaflets. This promotional activities aimed to increase the number of tourists visiting Sanrobone village and to increase employment opportunities for the community and to continue preserving the existing community culture so that natural resources can be managed sustainably.

Abstract

Mattiro Bombang Village Community activities to catch crabs in the sea. The potential of this village is still not well developed so it is very profitable if the community does crab cultivation. Problems that require handling of the increasingly reduced crab catches are the availability of crabs continuously. To anticipate this, it is necessary to apply and touch the right techniques of crab cultivation so that this PPDM activity becomes a pilot stage. PPDM implementation methods are mentoring and demonstration plots. The main work that was obtained by the fishermen's partners was the demonstration plot of rajungan crab cultivation in the pond that was applied starting from the pond construction, pond drying, filling water, place of maintenance, seed selection, seed transport, seed stocking, maintenance, water quality, feeding, growth, pest management disease, and harvest. With the improvement of skills, fisherman partners can produce large rajungan crabs weighing 200 grams per head to meet market needs and be available continuously without expecting catches at sea.

Abstract

Laikang Village is one of the villages in the coastal area of ​​Takalar Regency, South Sulawesi Province, which has the potential of mangrove forest resources, but the community's knowledge of the functions and benefits of mangrove forests is still very lacking, which has an impact on the low awareness of the community in the mangrove ecosystem. Mangrove as a food source is not yet known and developed by the coastal community of Laikang Village, while the raw material is very widely available in the area. This PKM program tries to provide a solution so that it can be overcome by conducting counseling on the ecosystem functions and benefits of mangroves as well as training in the use of mangrove fruit to become useful food products in the form of mangrove fruit flour and chips by increasing the role of fishermen farmer groups, so that they can be used as one alternative to increase the income of coastal communities. The method used is counseling method, training in processing mangrove fruit into flour and chips and product packaging. The main work produced: training in fruit processing into flour which is applied to partners starting from the process of fruit selection, stripping, steaming, boiling, drying, sieving to flour ready to be processed into chips until the packaging process flour products and chips mangrove fruit.
