Abstract

South Kalimantan for the past 10 years has shooting athletes that have the potential to compete national and international. But it is not balanced with facilities such as there is no shooting range that can accommodate all training activities of athletes. Training is the most important thing in achievement, but in fact, the current place for training does not support athletes to maximize their potential. Behavior architecture as a method to solve or maximize the potential of athletes starts with three parts of training: emotion, cognition, and performance. Wasaka Shooting Range designed to make athletes as main users have trained with metamorphosis concepts that prepare the athletes emotionally and cognitively. With this concept, the area is divided into three zones which is the transition, prepare, and main zone.

Abstract

Caring for pets has become a part of the lifestyle of today's modern society. However, the high interest in raising animals is also accompanied by the growth of abandoned animal populations in the city of Banjarbaru due to neglect from non-committed owners. As a respond to this problem, a shelter facility emerged for abandoned animals who were sick, injured, tortured, or needed a protection. The design of Cat Shelter in Banjarbaru is a facility that seeks to meet the physical and psychological needs of animals but also still considers the sustainability of facilities by implementing an environmentally friendly design approach. Using Sustainable Architecture concepts as a solution to problems with strategies for considering land use, community, health and well-being, as well as the efficiency of materials, energy and water, then formed a design of green buildings and healthy, which is beneficial for residents of shelter facilities.

Abstract

Hulu Sungai Selatan has very interesting regional specialties to taste, but the popularity of the Hulu Sungai Selatan culinary specialty is less developed because people from various regions outside Hulu Sungai Selatan do not have enough time or opportunity to come directly to Hulu Sungai Selatan. At present the city that is a place to stay or settle is that most people from various islands, provinces and districts are Banjarmasin, in Banjarmasin there are actually places that sell typical Hulu Sungai Selatan culinary but unfortunately most only sell ketupat kandangan only while other cuisines are less popular , from that problem arises that is how to design a culinary center that can popularize the peculiarities of the Hulu Sungai Selatan culinary in Banjarmasin. To answer these problems a central culinary design can be used as a medium to popularize the typical Hulu Sungai Selatan culinary using the Peter Zumthor Atmospheres method emphasize the processing of the interior and exterior of the design and apply the design aspects of Peter Zumthor's Atmospheres themselves as a concept of design. At this culinary center only a few aspects are applied as concepts in interior and exterior design, this adjusts to the needs of the culinary center, the interior of the culinary center emphasizes the body of architecture aspects, material compatibility, between composure and seduction , levels of intimacy and the light on things in the dining, kitchen, gallery and culinary materials stores while on the exterior emphasizes compatibility, the temperature of the space, surrounding objects, tension between interior & exterior and the light on things on the outside buildings and sites. Thus, it is hoped that this culinary center will be able to become a media that can popularize the culinary specialties of Hulu Sungai Selatan.

Abstract

The increasing number of population citizens in Banjarmasin from year to year has an effect on the increasing need for educational facilities, in terms of quality and quantity. Besides the government, the private sector also provides formal education facilities. Insan Madani Integrated Islamic Junior High School Banjarmasin is one of the private schools in Banjarmasin. But the Bina Insan Madani Foundation has not provided a school building that complies with government standards. It is necessary to design Insan Madani Integrated Islamic Junior High School Banjarmasin in accordance with the standards and create an educational atmosphere that can support the learning process. The Architectural Programming method of William Pena was chosen to solve the architectural problem. The Qur’an Educative Space Concept is a design of SMPIT Insan Madani Banjarmasin which makes every room in this school a place of learning. Qur’an Educative space is applied to outer space and inner space, so students can study in every room and memorize the Qur’an well in the school

Abstract

The development of the city of Banjarbaru accompanied by an increase in population and community activities resulting. An increase in the amount of garbage produced. The ideal waste processing and sorting needs and active role from the community is still not running optimally, if these conditions are left the amount of waste that can actually be processed more go more to a landfill or waste damaging the environment. The design of the waste management training center uses the ecological concept with the uses of recycled material or reuse material derived from waste or second thing. Ecological concepts are applied by interactive methods that include design elements namely the wall, floor, plafond, interior, and the composition of the mass and landscape. That concept and method is a solution to create a design that can communicate the importance of community care for the environment and waste process.

Abstract

Sekumpul, Martapura is acknowledged as a religious tourism destination by Banjar District’s Department of Tourism. Its number of visitors increase rapidly each year, crowding the streets especially in Martapura and Banjarbaru. Yearly, monthly, and even weekly events attract a lot of pilgrims, which boost the economic sector of the local community. This location, which was popularized by K.H. Abdul Ghani (also known as Guru Sekumpul) has now been filled with many activities. Unfortunately, the physical condition of Sekumpul can no longer accommodate the locals nor the pilgrims. The problem of traffic jams, discomfort and unsafety of pedestrians, and even the dryness of the area must be given solutions so that existing facilities will not go to waste. To solve these problems, the “walkable place” concept is applied, which uses the “sense of place” method with its 3 aspects (form, image, and activities). The walkable place concept is considered suitable and applicable for Rearrangement of Sekumpul Corridor, Martapura, solving problems of the physical conditions by road widening while still considering the existing conditions, adding amenities, creating positive spaces, optimizing the potential of the religious and commercial sectors, and also strengthening Sekmpul’s sense of place. The identity and character already formed in Sekumpul cannot be ignored and changed, therefore this design conserves while also developing for the good of the users.
