<![CDATA[The City of Banjarbaru has one of the important figures in the process of regional development, namely Van der Pijl. He was a Dutch architect who designed a master plan of Banjarbaru city and several government buildings that until today were still in use. Van der Pijl role in the construction of Banjarbaru city is very important, but nowadays many people do not know the development of the city of Banjarbaru (early found) about the figure of Van der Pijl itself. So the need for a container to reintroduce and give an understanding of Van der Pijl in the process of building Banjarbaru city.]]>

<![CDATA[Reading is one of the basic skills that must be mastered by everyone. However, the reading rate of people in Indonesia is very low. In fact, literacy conditions in Indonesia are now in crisis, which is also called a literacy emergency. Increasing interest in reading in the younger generation in Indonesia today is really important amidst so many technologies that are very rapidly developing. Therefore, Indonesia is currently so active at making movements to increase interest in reading. The purpose of this Community Library is to increase the reading interest of Indonesian people while providing adequate facilities for reading for the community. The design of Community Library uses architectural programming method. The process of this method is divided into two stages consisting of preparing a program that is an activity of analyzing data that led to architectural problems and designing designs that can solve problems. The digitalization of books can be used as a way to increase the children and adults interest in reading again. However, that still feels lacking, because it requires a more efficient steps that can further influence the interest in reading and attract the attention of the public to e interested in reading. One way to attract the reading interest of public to be interested in reading is to turn the library into a creative reading place. This is what underlies the thought of the Community Library. Creating a Community Library with the concept of Recreation Space is expected to help change people's view of reading which was boring to be fun. The design is a comfortable, varied, and fun reading space with complete facilities.]]>

<![CDATA[The Design of Fashion Schools in Banjarmasin is in the background by the rapid increase of fashion needs. Some potential young designers in Indonesia also show that fashion products in Indonesia have a great potential. However, in South Kalimantan, especially Banjarmasin, does not yet have a Fashion Design high school, it makes the local people who want to become a fashion designer must study outside the island of Kalimantan. With the existence of a fashion school in Banjarmasin, it is expected that Banjarmasin and the surrounding communities who have aspirations to become a Fashion Designer or want to know about what is Fashion Design. So, the fashion design school in Banjarmasin can give birth to new designers who can trigger the fashion industry in Indonesia, especially in Banjarmasin. In this design, the researcher uses the concept of Expressionist Architecture as an answer to the research problems in the design of this school.]]>

<![CDATA[Technological advances have now mastered several aspects, namely in the world of education, fashion, lifestyle and the world of architecture. For example libraries, in the past, libraries were seen from the number of books collected and also how big the library building was but for now all that has changed, libraries are now required to be able to follow the wishes of its users. In this case the users are the millennial generation who have characteristics that are close to technology, like convenience and are free-spirited. According to a survey from the Boston Consulting Group and the University of Berkley about the millennial generation, the conventional reading interest of millennials has decreased and they prefer to use smartphones to read and libraries are considered unimportant to them. The design of the Banjarbaru Millennial Library uses the Behavioral Architecture method and the Blurring Architecture concept. This design aims to create a library in accordance with the characteristics of millennials who like freedom by implementing this freedom into its buildings]]>

<![CDATA[The design of the Modern Putra Islamic Boarding School in Martapura, South Kalimantan was based on the background of a lot of public interest today and the awareness of the importance of quality education so that the morals of every individual human being can be better and also from a general scientific perspective. Also, boarding school educators such as this pesantren can avoid most of the covid-19 virus because students do not leave the pesantren area so the need for Islamic boarding schools. The design problem raised is to create a comfortable and quiet Islamic boarding school. The problem-solving method used to create a comfortable and quiet Putra Islamic boarding school is the William M. Pena model of architectural programming. With the architectural programming method, the design will be adjusted to the needs and activity patterns of the students so that the design can help support the students' learning achievement. The design concept used is space as a learning medium by applying mass and spatial planning, comfort and tranquility, quality education, and educational concepts. Modern Islamic boarding schools are closely related to school classrooms in general. So that the classroom becomes one of the spaces that must be considered and designed according to the needs to create high-quality education. Apart from school areas, mosques (places of worship) and dormitories (rest areas) are areas that should be prioritized in this design.]]>

<![CDATA[Oftentimes, we happen to meet with blind and visually impaired people in the middle of Banjarmasin City either while begging for some cash, tried to sell some newspaper, singing or more familiar with busking using musical instrument even though sometimes they also used speaker and any other additional instruments or offers massage service with a patch-up looking presentation. The reality that was just explained happen to be one of the situation where a lot of times were under spotlight due to the lack of diversity and also inclusivity in human resource development for blind and visually impaired people. Some of the reasons why difabel people struggled in developing the human resources inside individual is because the lack of facility in public spaces most likely in mobility side, spaces for improvement for individual or also groups for doing organization that can help regularity within the activity inside.]]>

<![CDATA[The Child Friendly Water Park in Pelaihari City is designed with Child Friendly Playroom Standards so that children can play safely and comfortably, and learn to recognize water from an early age. The method used in this design is "Behavioral Architecture" with children's behavior as the main design consideration. The design approach uses a "Psychological Approach" with child psychology as the main approach in this design. Considering the number of visitors who come, the concept of the program used is "Flexibility". Garden elements and spaces are made with various functions and forms following a predetermined program concept. It is hoped that with this park children can play safely and comfortably and can learn to recognize water from an early age with fun.]]>

<![CDATA[Proboscis monkey is mascot animal of South Borneo that is going through population decrease and considered as endangered animal. There is required effort with aim to preserving these animals. One of the conservation programs that can be implemented is nature based-tourism development with proboscis monkey as the object. In order to support this program, a proboscis monkey conservation based-ecotourism is designed with aim to educate about importance of proboscis monkey preservation. The designed object spread on two points, that is Muara Kanoco Village and Curiak Island that had been appointed by SBI as ecotourism area. This ecotourism emphasize on educative concept with human-nature symbiosis method. Educative concept is making the nature as learning space, while human-nature symbiosis is making human and nature have a good reciprocal relationship..]]>

<![CDATA[The graveyard of Sultan Suriansyah is the graveyard of the first Banjar King who converted to Islam and helped raise Islam in the South Kalimantan. This graveyard is one of the religious tours that is crowded with people from various regions. However, not many people know the history this place has. Therefore, there was a plan to redesign the graveyard area of the Sultan Suriansyah which would preserve history and become an educational area for those who visit here. To realize the redesign of the graveyard area of the Sultan Suriansyah, a disprogramming method is used, with the application of the concept of dimensional space in the zoning that divides the area and provides space to maintain and show the history of the place to the people who visit the area.]]>

<![CDATA[Banjarmasin as the capital city of South Kalimantan currently has excellent economic growth potential. The potential is utilized by the government with the Banjarbakula Metropolitan Area program that unites Banjarmasin - Banjarbaru - Banjar Regency - Barito Kuala Regency - Tanah Laut Regency into one national strategic area. To realize this Metropolitan Area program, transportation facilities such as terminals that can accommodate various modes of transportation are needed for better accessibility between cities or regencies, especially Barito Kuala Regency. However, terminals are often to have some problems such as conflicting circulation either human circulation or vehicle circulation as well as less integrated function. To solve that problem, Alalak Type B Terminal using Connectivity concept that focus on good connectivity on circulation and accessibility. To combine these connectivity, superimposition methods are eventually used to integrate various circulation as well as function into one whole unit to create well-organized circulation without conflict and with integrated function.]]>
