Abstract

The study entitled The Use of Plants as Foodstuffs, Flavour Enhancers and Food coloring in Meukek District, South Aceh District, was conducted in August Sd. September 2019. This study aims to determine: (1) plant species used for food, flavour enhancers and colorants (2) plant parts used as food ingredients, flavourenhancers and food coloring (3) how to use plants for food, flavour enhancer and food coloring. This type ofresearchis a descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach.This researchwasconducted in the District of Meukek, South Aceh Regency. This research uses the RRA (Rapid Rular Appraisal) method. Data analyzed directly. Basedontheresultof the study there were 95 species of plants from 41 families (which are used for food for 65 species, aroma enhancer 30 species and coloring 10 species), there are several species that are used more than one utilization group. The parts/organs of plants that are widely used as food are fruit organs (42%) and those with little interest (1%). For flavor enhancers, the most widely used organs are leaves (11%), and those with few stems (1%), skin (1%). As a coloring agent, the most widely used plant organs are fruit (4%), and small rhizomes (1%). The use plant that are usedas food is by cooking or directly consumed. The use plant as a scent and coloring enhancer that is by mixing into food or cooking ingredients. The conclusions of this study are plants that have the potential as food ingredients, flavour enhancers and food coloring in Meukek District are quite abundant and their availability in nature.Keywords:Foodstuffs, Flavour enhancers, Food coloring, Meukek District.Penelitian yang berjudul Penggunaan Tumbuhan Sebagai Bahan Pangan, Penambah Aroma dan Pewarna di Kecamatan Meukek Kabupaten Aceh Selatan telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus Sd. September 2019.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Spesies tumbuhan yang digunakan untuk bahan pangan, penambah aroma dan pewarna (2) Bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai bahan pangan, penambah aroma dan pewarna (3) cara pemanfaatan dari tumbuhan untuk bahan pangan, penambah aroma dan pewarna. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Meukek Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Dengan menggunakan metode RRA (Rapid Rural Appraisal). Data dianalisis secara langsung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat 95 spesies tumbuhan dari 41 familia (yang digunakan untuk bahan pangan 65 spesies, penambah aroma 30 spesies dan pewarna 10 spesies) terdapat beberapa spesies yang dimanfaatkan lebih dari satu kelompok pemanfaatan. Bagian tumbuhanyang banyak digunakan sebagai bahan pangan yaitu organ buah (42 %) dan yang sedikit bunga (1%). Untuk penambah aroma, organ yang banyak digunakan adalah daun (11%), dan yang sedikit batang (1%), kulit (1%). Sebagai pewarna, organ tumbuhan yang banyak digunakan adalah buah (4%), dan sedikitrimpang (1%). Penggunaan tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai bahan pangan yaitu dengan cara dimasak atau di konsumsi secara langsung. Pengunaan tumbuhan sebagai penambah aroma dan pewarna yaitu dengan cara di campurkan kedalam bahan makanan atau masakan. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah tumbuhan yang berpotensi  sebagai bahan pangan, penambah aroma dan pewarna di Kecamatan Meukek cukup melimpah dan ketersediaanya di alam.Kata kunci: Bahan Pangan, Penambah Aroma, Pewarna, Kecamatan Meukek.

Abstract

Growth is the process of increasing the volume and number of cells so that the size of the body of living things increases. Anodonta woodiana is a species of freshwater mussel as macrozoobenthos that lives in fresh waters and has a relatively sedentary nature. This study aims to determine (1) growth patterns and (2) Anadonta woodiana habitat characteristics based on substrates in the waters of the Aron Patah River, Panga District, Aceh Jaya Regency. This research was conducted in June to July 2019. The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The method used in this study is a survey method with purposive sampling technique. The location of this study was divided into 3 observation stations. Data were analyzed with the formula of growth patterns and environmental conditions analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the constant value of the estimation of growth pattern (b) ranged from 1.9602 to 2.3681. Habitat characteristics at station I have sand substrate while at station II and III have substrate sand, temperature ranges from 27ºC - 30ºC, with pH ranging from 7.2 - 7.8 and salinity ranges from 24‰ - 30‰. Macrobenthos found in this study were Melanoides torulosa, Paphila undulata, and Pila ampullacea. Vegetation found Hibiscus tiliaceus, Imperata cylindrica, Casuarina equisetifolia and Eichornia crassipes. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the growth pattern of A.woodiana in the Aron Patah River waters is negative allometric.Keywords: Growth patterns, Anadonta woodiana, Habitat, RiverPertumbuhan adalah proses pertambahan volume dan jumlah sel sehingga ukuran tubuh makhluk hidup bertambah besar. Anodonta woodiana adalah salah satu spesies kerang air tawar sebagai makrozoobenthos yang hidup di perairan tawar dan mempunyai sifat hidup yang relatif menetap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Pola pertumbuhayangn dan (2) Karakteristik habitat A. woodiana berdasarkan substrat di perairan Sungai Aron Patah Kecamatan Panga Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Juli 2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  metode survey dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Lokasi penelitian ini dibagi kedalam 3 stasiun pengamatan. Data dianalisis dengan rumus pola pertumbuhan dan kondisi lingkungan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai konstanta penduga pola pertumbuhan (b) berkisar 1,9602-2,3681. Karakteristik habitat pada stasiun I bersubstrat pasir sedangkan pada stasiun II dan III bersubstrat lempung psasir, suhu berkisar antara 27ºC - 30ºC, dengan pH berkisar antara 7,2 - 7,8 dan salinitas berkisar antara 24‰ – 30‰. Makrobenthos yang temukan pada penelitian ini Melanoides torulosa, Paphila undulata, dan Pila ampullacea. Vegetasi yang temukan Hibiscus tiliaceus, Imperata cylindrica, Casuarina equisetifolia dan Eichornia crassipes. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pola pertumbuhan A.woodiana di perairan Sungai Aron Patah bersifat allometrik negatif.Kata kunci: pola pertumbuhan, Anadonta woodiana, habitat, sungai

Abstract

Research on Inventory of Moss Plant Types in the Kedah Rainforest Lodges Blangjerango District Gayo Lues Regency Penosan Village was conducted in August to September 2019. This study aims to determine the types of moss plants in the Kedah Rainforest Lodges Area Blangjerango District, Gayo Lues District. The approach and the type of research is descriptive. The area of Rainforest Lodges Kedah is 30 ha, the total area used in this study is 3 ha consisting of 3 stations determined based on the direction of the wind, the area of each station is 1 ha. The study was conducted using exploratory methods conducted by roaming. The results obtained 55 species of mosses which belong to 23 families. The species 0f moss plant substrate in the Rainforest Lodges Kedah can be found in moist habitats such as trees, wood, soil, and rocks.

Abstract

This study is entitled "Polychaeta Diversity in the Glass-kacu Waters of Nasi Island, Pulau Aceh District, Aceh Besar Regency". Polychaeta is a worm that belongs to the Phylum Annelida which has a setae, a broad body, so that its cosmopolitan life in various types of marine ecosystems. The purpose of this study, to determine the level of diversity of Polychaeta species found in the Glass-Kacu Waters and to determine the physical-chemical environmental conditions. The method used survey method with purposive sampling technique based on the presence of Polychaeta in the waters. Data analysis uses the Shannon-Winner diversity index formula, analyzed descriptively and displayed in tables. The results of the study were 10 species of Polychaeta from 5 families. The level of diversity of Polychaeta which is located at two stations in the waters of Pulau Nasi, Pulau Aceh District, Aceh Besar Regency is classified as low with diversity index adalah = 1.3158. The species that dominates in the Glass-kacu waters is Spirobranchus giganteus. For the measurement of physics-chemical factors for temperatures ranging from 24 0C-28 0C, pH 7.0 to 8.17, and 300/00-320/00. Keywords: Polychaeta Diversity, Cosmopolitan Penelitian ini berjudul “Keanekaragaman Polychaeta di Perairan Kaca-kacu Pulau Nasi Kecamatan Pulau Aceh Kabupaten Aceh Besar”. Polychaeta adalah cacing yang termasuk dalam Filum Annelida yang memiliki setae, tubuh beruas-ruas hingga penuh kosmopolitan di berbagai tipe ekosistem laut. Tujuan penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui tingkat populasi spesies Polychaeta yang terdapat di Perairan Kaca-Kacu serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor lingkungan fisika-kimia. Metode yang digunakan metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Samplingberdasarkan penyelesaian Polychaeta di perjalanan. Analisis data menggunakan rumus indeks variasi Shannon-Winner, dianalisis secara deskriptif dan diselesaikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil penelitian Ada 10 spesies Polychaeta dari 5 famili. Tingkat keragaman Polychaeta yang bergantung pada dua stasiun di Kawasan Perairan Pulau Nasi Kecamatan Pulau Aceh Kabupaten Aceh Besar di katogorikan rendah dengan indeks keanekaragamannya adalah Ĥ = 1,3158. Spesies yang menentang di daerah Perikanan Kaca-kacu adalah Spirobranchus giganteus . Untuk Pengukuran faktor fisika-kimia untuk review Suhu berkisar 24 0 C-28 0 C, pH 7,0- 8,17, Dan 30 0 / 00 -32 0 / 00 .Kata Kunci: Keanekaragaman Polychaeta, Kosmopolitan

Abstract

Research entitled "Effect of Provision of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) Local Goat (Capra Aegagrus Hircus) Against Growth and Vitamin A in Lettuce (Lactuca Sativa) Hydroponic Systems DFT (Deep Flow Technique)". This study aims to determine the effect of fertilizer application on the vitamin A content of lettuce plants. This type of research is experimental research. This research was carried out in Lambada Lhok village and in the Biology Education Laboratory of FKIP Syiah Kuala University. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 4 levels of treatment and 6 repetitions to obtain 24 experimental units. Data were analyzed statistically using Variant Analysis (ANAVA) and if there were significant differences between one treatment with another, then further tests were carried out. Based on the results of research on the provision of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) local bean goat (Capra aegagrus hircus) has a very significant effect on the vitamin A content of lettuce (Lactuca sativa. Optimum growth is found in the P2 treatment with a concentration of 35% Liquid Organic Fertilizer.Keywords: Fertilizer, Lettuce and GrowthPenelitian berjudul ?Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) Kambing Kacang Lokal (Capra Aegagrus Hircus) Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Vitamin A pada Tanaman Selada (Lactuca Sativa) Secara Hidroponik Sistem DFT (Deep Flow Technique)?. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian POC (pupuk  Organik Cair) terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman selada. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitiannya experiment. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini berlokasi di Desa Lambada Lhok dan di Laboratorium Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 taraf perlakuan dan 6 kali pengulangan sehingga diperoleh 24 unit percobaan. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan Analisis Varian (ANAVA) dan jika terdapat perbedaan nyata antara satu perlakuan dengan perlakuan lainnya, maka dilakukan uji lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian POC (Pupuk Organik Cair) dari kambing kacang lokal (Capra aegagrus hircus) memberi pengaruh signifikan terhadap kandungan vitamin A tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa). Kandungan pertumbuhan yang optimum terdapat pada perlakuan P2 dengan konsentrasi 35% Pupuk Organik Cair.Kata Kunci: Pupuk, Selada dan Pertumbuhan

Abstract

Student learning motivation is classified as less optimal due to several reasons, namely students tend to participate less during question and answer activities from their teacher and pay less attention to the teacher when delivering material in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to find out the application of the Scientific Inquiry Learning Model in increasing motivation and student learning outcomes on virus material. This study uses a pretest-posttest control group design experimental method. The parameters used are learning motivation and student learning outcomes collected through pretest and posttest. The data obtained were then tabulated and analyzed using the N-Gain formula to find out the improvement in learning outcomes. Next, a statistical analysis was carried out in the form of the Independent sample t-test and the Mann-Whitney test to determine differences in motivation scores and learning outcomes in the experimental and control class students. For learning motivation, the data obtained were also analyzed by the percentage of scores per indicator to determine its categorization. The results obtained for Independent sample t-test of the average learning motivation, obtained tcount = 5.07 ttable = 4.1. For categorization, the experimental class received an average of "very good", "good", and "good enough" categorizations. As for the learning outcomes obtained Mann-Whitney test results namely Zcount = 5.71 Ztable = 1.96 so it can be concluded that the Scientific Inquiry learning model can increase student motivation and can improve student learning outcomes on virus material.Motivasi belajar siswa tergolong kurang Optimal dikarenakan beberapa alasan yaitu siswa cenderung kurang berpartisipasi saat kegiatan tanya jawab dari gurunya serta kurang memperhatikan gurunya saat penyampaian materi dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan riset bertujuan mengetahui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry dalam peningkatan motivasi serta hasil belajar siswa pada materi virus. Risetini menggunakan metode eksperimen berdesain Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Parameter yang digunakan yaitu motivasi belajar serta hasil belajar siswa yang dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya ditabulasi dan dianalisis dengan rumus N-Gain untuk mengetahui peningkatan skor. Selanjutnya, dilakukan analisis statistika berupa uji Independent sample t-test dan uji Mann-Whitney untuk mengetahui perbedaan skor motivasi dan hasil belajar pada siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Untuk motivasi belajar, data yang diperoleh juga dianalisis persentase skor per indikator untuk diketahui kategorisasinya. Hasil riset uji Independent sample t-test untuk motivasi belajar, diperoleh thitung = 5,07 ttabel = 4,1. Untuk kategorisasi, kelas ekperimen mendapat rata-rata kategori “sangat baik”, “baik”, dan “cukup baik”. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar diperoleh hasil uji Mann-Whitney yaitu Zhitung = 5,71 Ztabel = 1,96 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa serta dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi virus.

Abstract

Keywords: Diversity Of Ground Surface Insects The research on the level of soil  surface  diversity  in Rainforest Lodges Kedah Bungalow District, Blangjerago Subdistrict, Gayo Lues District, was conducted in September to November 2019. This study aims to determine the level of soil surface insect diversity in the Rainforest Lodges Low Kedah District Blangjerango, Regency of Gayo Lues. The study  was cond ucted with an exploratory method and a       quantitative approach. Sampling was  carried out at 3 observation stations that represent tilted land and flat land, and using traps, and the determination of the     location was carried out using the transect method along 50 meters. Every 5 meters laid traps, with a amount trap usage of 30 traps. Analysis of diversity data using the diversity index (H’). The Diversity Index (H ') at station 1 is 1,224 (moderate) station 2 is 1,870 (low) and at station 3 is 2.275 (moderate). Overall, the level of diversity of soil surface insects in Rainfores Lodges Kedah Bungalow, Blangjerago District, Gayo Lues Regency is moderate.Kata kunci : Keanekaragaman Insekta Permukaan Tanah. Penelitian Tingkat    Keanekaragaman  Insekta  Permukaan   Tanah di Kawasan Rainforest Lodges Kedah Bungalow Kecamatan Blangjerago, Kabupaten Gayo Lues, dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai dengan November 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keanekaragaman insekta permukaan tanah di Kawasan Rainforest Lodges Kedah Bungalow Kecamatan Blangjerango, Kabupaten  Gayo Lues. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode ekploratif dan pendekatan         kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada 3 stasiun pengamatan yang mewakili kemirigan tanah dan tanah datar, dan mengunakan  jebakan, dan             penentuan lokasi dilakukan dengan metode transek sepanjang 50 meter. Tiap 5 meter diletakkan jebakan, dengan total pengunaan jebakan perangkap 30 buah. Analisis data tingkat keanekaragama mengunakan indeks keanekaragaman (H’). Indeks    tingkat Keanekaragaman (H’) pada stasiun 1 adalah 1,224 (sedang) stasiun 2 adalah 1.870 (rendah) dan pada stasiun 3 adalah 2,275(sedang). Secara keseluruhan  Tingkat Keanekaragaman Insekta Permukaan Tanah di Kawasan Rainfores Lodges Kedah Bungalow Kecamatan Blangjerago, Kabupaten Gayo Lues  adalah sedang.

Abstract

Anemia is a dangerous disease for pregnant women and fetuses, this is because anemia can trigger deadly conditions. There are several factors that can cause anemia. However, these factors may change in different regions, one of which is in the Dewantara sub-district which can be influenced by factors of education, pregnancy distance,, parity, and chronic energy deficiencies. This study used a cross sectional design for research with that have two types of variables, namely the dependent variable and the independent variable. The dependent variable was pregnant women of anemia while the independent variables were parity status, nutritional status of chronic energy deficiencies, education, and pregnancy spacing. The results of the study found that the determinant factors causing anemia in pregnant women undergoing treatment at Dewantara public health center were education. The odd ratio value is 0.6, or in other words it is 60% of anemia in pregnant women whotake medication in Dewantara sub-district is caused by the low education. Keyword: Anemia, Pregnant Women, Significant, and Factors that Cause Anemia. Anemia termasuk penyakit yang berbahaya bagi ibu hamil dan janin, hal ini karena anemia dapat memicu kondisi yang mematikan. Ada beberapa faktor yang dapat menyebabkan anemia. Namun faktor-faktor tersebut dapat saja berubah di wilayah yang berbeda, salah satunya adalah di wilayah Kecamatan Dewantara yang dapat di pengaruhi oleh faktor paritas,  pendidikan, jarak kehamilan, dan status gizi KEK (kekurangan energi kronis). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode rancangan cross sectionalyang memiliki dua jenis variabel, yaitu variabel terikat dan variabel bebas. Variabel terikat adalah ibu hamil yang anemia sedangkan variabel bebas adalah paritas, pendidikan, jarak kehamilan, dan status gizi KEK (Kekurangan Energi Kronis). Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa faktor penyebab terjadinya penyakit anemia pada ibu hamil yang melakukan pengobatan di Puskesmas Dewantara adalah pendidikan. Nilai odd rationya adalah sebesar 0,6 atau dengan kata lain sebanyak 60% anemia pada ibu hamil di Kecamatan Dewantara, khususnya yang melakukan pengobatan di Puskesmas Dewantara disebabkan oleh pendidikan rendah. Kata Kunci: Anemia, ibu hamil, dan faktor penyebab anemia

Abstract

Propionibacterium acnes. Plants that have the potential as a natural antibiotic can be found in various types of plants, including lime, pickle tree, and garlic. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity of the combined concentration of lime juice, pickle tree and garlic on the growth of Propionibacterium acnes, and see the most effective concentration of the combination of juice. The approach used in this study was quantitative, an experimental method using a non-factorial randomized design (RAL) pattern consisting of 11 treatment groups and 3 replications. Data were analyzed using Variant Analysis (ANOVA) and Duncan's Nearest Real Distance Test (JNTD) at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that there were significant differences between variations in concentration and single variations. The most effective juice concentration combination is a combination of juice 100% with an average inhibition diameter of 12.68 mm. Keywords: Inhibitory zone, a combination of extracts, Propionibacterium acnesJerawat merupakan kondisi dermatologis umum yang disebabkan oleh Propionibacterium acnes. Tumbuhan yang memiliki potensi sebagai antibiotik alami dapat ditemukan pada beragam jenis tumbuhan, diantaranya jeruk nipis, belimbing wuluh, dan bawang putih. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri kombinasi konsentrasi perasan jeruk nipis, belimbing wuluh, dan bawang putih terhadap pertumbuhan Propionibacterium acnes, serta melihat konsentrasi paling efektif dari kombinasi perasan. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, metode eksperimental menggunakan pola Rancangan Acak Lengakap (RAL) non faktorial yang terdiri dari 11 kelompok perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Analisis Varian (ANOVA) dan uji lanjut Jarak Nyata Terdekat Duncan (JNTD) pada taraf signifikan 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara aktivitas variasi kombinasi konsentrasi maupun variasi tunggal. Kombinasi konsentrasi perasan paling efektif ialah kombinasi perasan 100% dengan rata-rata diameter hambat 12,68 mm.. Kata Kunci: Zona hambat, kombinasi ekstrak, Propionibacterium acnes

Abstract

The research about inventory of rice weed species on paddy field in Kutelintang Village, Blangkejeren district has been done from July to October 2019. The study was aimed to determine species and types of weeds in paddy fields of Kutelintang Village, Blangkejeren. Data was collected by survey exploration. The location was divided into four stations based on points of the compass. Data was analysed descriptivelly. The result shows that there were 50 spesies of weeds belong to 26 families. The types of weed were Poaceae, Cyperaceae and broadleaf weeds. Types of broadleaf weeds had the most members/species which were 39 species belonging to 24 families followed by Poaceae (6 species) and the least was Cyperaceae (5 species).  The spesies of broadleaf weed belonged to 24 familia which were Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Verbenaceae,        Ranunculaceae, Solanaceae, Fabaceae, Polygonaceae, Convovulaceae, Araliaceae, Passifloraceae, Plantaginaceae, Amaranthaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Alismataceae, Onagraceae, Portulacaceae, Pontederiaceae, Marsileaceae, Boraginaceae, Malvaceae, Commelinaceae, Araceae, Rubiaceae, Dryopteridaceae. Therefore, it can be concluded that the weeds in Kutelintang paddy field vary in spesies, family and type. Moreover,  broadleaf weed is the most familiar type found in the study area.
