Abstract

One of the problems of laying solar panels and attenuation will affect the output power of the solar panels. Several other studies have been carried out with different heights and the addition of attenuation will increase the output power of solar panels. This research was conducted using experimental methods for 6 designs that have been planned. Design 1 solar panel without height and without attenuation, design 2 solar panels without height using attenuation, design 3 solar panels with a height of 10 m and without attenuation, design 4 solar panels with a height of 10 m and use attenuation, design 5 solar panels with a height of 75 m without using attenuation and design 6 solar panels with a height of 75 m and using attenuation. This study aims to determine the effect of changing the height of the solar panels and adding attenuation to see how much power the solar panels produce when they are sunny. Measurement of voltage (Voc) and current (Isc) was carried out for 5 days. The results showed that the highest average output power of solar panels was in design 6 of 45.16 W, while the lowest average output power of solar panels was in design 1 of 41.43 W. The output power of solar panels in design 6 is 8 .3% more than design 1

Abstract

LED type bulb light is generally widely used in building spaces in Indonesia today because it is more energy efficient than other types. The purpose of this study is to utilize the light bulb as a new photon energy source and free no night for a 50 Wp Solar PV panel that generates new electrical energy. Experimentally, it is to be known at what distance the best absorption of photon energy is between the light source and the PV panel. The results showed that the maximum power (0.1 Watt) was obtained at a distance of 20 cm with the 40 Watt Mavel LED type, while the highest efficiency (1.3%) with Philips bulb lightat a distance of 29 cmfrom the panel. The potential for the use of LED bulb light as lighting at night as well as as a new source of electrical energy –PLTBoh in closed indoor PV installations looks quite good. Therefore the incorporation of PV with solar energy during the day and bulb energy at night will help charging and storage of electrical energy on batteries for the availability of alternative electrical energy dc electronic devices even AC

Abstract

Motorcycle security systems using fingerprint sensors are needed to avoid theft because of their high level of security compared to manual systems. This study underscores the importance of using this fingerprint sensor for motorcycle security. The formulation of the problem in this study is how much electricity is required in the motorcycle battery for this fingerprint security system. This system uses various components, such as the R503 fingerprint sensor, Arduino Uno, buzzer, 4-channel relay, ignition key, and motorcycle starter. Testing of this system is performed by inserting a finger in a wet, oily, dusty, or normal condition, and the result is that this sensor is capable of detecting the entire condition of the finger. Attempts to start a motorcycle with all ten fingers showed that the left index finger started faster under normal conditions, in 1.55 seconds compared to the manual method, which took 2.05 seconds longer. It also measures power consumption and calculates how long the battery can power this device. The result is that the battery can power this device for 180 hours without interruption

Abstract

There are several types of photovoltaic system configurations, one of which is the on-grid PV system. This system is simple compared to other systems. Because there are two different energy sources that can supply the load either together or separately, an analysis of how the irradiation affects the electrical parameters on the load side or the grid itself is required. The goal of this research is to examine the performance of on-grid PV under various irradiation variation, type, and load power to power factor, grid frequency, and load conditions. To measure the performance of on-grid PV, parameter calculations are carried out in the form of PV efficiency, final yield, reference yield, and performance ratio, and the results of measurements of power factor, grid frequency, and load are observed due to variations in irradiation, type, and load power. The results show that the performance of on-grid PV is good; low irradiation can result in a decrease in the grid power factor, while the grid and load frequencies are in normal conditions for various variations of irradiation, type, and load power.

Abstract

Optimal power flow by considering the non-smooth cost curve using the meta-heuristic algorithm method, namely particle swarm optimization (PSO) in the 150 kV Sulselrabar electrical system. In this study, the PSO algorithm was used to optimize optimal power flow so that the cheapest generation price was obtained with a non-smooth cost curve and still considered the limitations of similarity and inequality. In this study, the PSO algorithm was used to optimize optimal power flow so that the cheapest generation price was obtained with a non-smooth cost curve and still considered the limitations of similarity and inequality. From the results of generation optimization using the Particle Swarm method, it produces the cheapest generation costs from other methods, namely Rp. 93,498,916.1,- / hour to generate power of 270.14 MW with losses of 25.73 MW. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method is able to reduce the cost of generating the Sulselrabar system by Rp. 34,382,857.58 / hour or 26.89%. From the results of generation optimization using the Ant Colony method, it resulted in a total generation cost of Rp. 94670335.98 / hour to generate power of 270,309 MW with losses of 25.91 MW. The Ant Colony method is able to reduce the cost of generating the Sulselrabar system by Rp. 33,211,437.70 / hour or 25.98%. From the results of generation optimization using the lagrange method, it resulted in a total generation cost of Rp. 117,121,631.08 / hour to generate power of 339.4 MW with losses of 25,016 MW. The lagrange method is able to reduce the cost of generating the Sulselrabar system by Rp. 10,760,142.60 / hour or 8.41%. The artificial intelligence method based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) can well perform optimization of Optimal Power Flow, from the results of the analysis obtained the cheapest generation cost compared to the comparison method, Lagrange Method and Ant Colony artificial intelligence method.

Abstract

The increasing consumer demand in the fruit industry has also demanded that various sectors of the fruit processing industry be able to adapt to this situation. The demand for good quality and fresh fruit requires technological advances and supporting systems that can be used in the fruit processing industry to produce the best quality fruit. Referring to this, this study aims to detect the type and maturity of fruit using machine learning with the CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) method using the function of a camera that is integrated with the program algorithm. This research is a refinement of previous research that has been made at the university by increasing the ability to read objects based on color with different methods. In this programming language, Python also requires several additional libraries to carry out the object detection process, namely by using the cvzone library as the main library. This study shows that the detection of fruit and ripeness using the CNN method was successful in detecting the type and maturity of the fruit. In the design and trial of this research, it can run well according to the algorithm created by the researcher. The success rate and accuracy of the detection of the type and maturity of this fruit reach 90%.

Abstract

The PLN officer in charge of recording kWh meters is sometimes unable to photograph them because men discovered that the houses were unoccupied and their fences were locked. Due to these circumstances, the calculation of the current month’s electricity consumption is equated with the previous month, and customers can be harmed. The purpose of this research is to take a physical photo of the kWh meter showing the electrical power consumption and send it to WhatsApp. Firstly, it needs to set the timer on the DS3231, which determines the date for activating the esp32-cam to take kWh meter pictures and upload them to the server. Next, esp8255 downloads those photos from the server. Finally, esp8255 sends them to the WhatsApp application. In this study, the results were obtained in the form of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based smart home device system. The WhatsApp application is a notification media, taking pictures of analog kWh meters in 3–5 seconds with throughput, reliability, and availability values of 189 bps, 96%, and 95.97%, respectively.

Abstract

Robotics technology has been used in various aspects of life to make work easier. In the industrial sector, robots are used to replace human roles in order to produce more effective and efficient work. The use of robots is also carried out in jobs with a high level of risk, one of which is search and rescue (SAR). In its development, the use of robots for SAR requires high flexibility and effectiveness in carrying out movements for finding and extinguishing hotspots as well as rescuing victims. So, in this research, a movement control system will be designed for a legged robot. The robot's design consists of four legs. Each leg of the robot is integrated with three servo motors, so that each leg movement will have three degrees of freedom. Tests are carried out to determine the speed of the robot in various directions of movement by changing the rotation angle of the servo on each leg. The test results show that a legged robot can accelerate at a maximum speed of 0.066 m/s.
