Abstract

The main problem underlying this research is the lack of activeness of class XI ATPH A SMKN 1 Bawen students in participating in learning. This is because the characteristics of students learning styles are variated so that if teachers don’t accommodate the needs of their learning styles, students will be reluctant to pay attention the learning level of use of learning technology; motivation to learn mathematics and even have difficulty understanding the lesson. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research are that researchers can find out the teacher's strategy to increase the activeness of class XI ATPH A students in learning, namely by presenting differentiated learning content. The content differentiation strategy is provided by the teacher so that students can explore insight and understanding regarding the material being taught. Student activeness in learning will appear automatically if students understand learning well because their learning needs have been fulfilled.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence and differences of the use of learning media, animated videos and illustrations in improving the learning outcomes of basketball class XI SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. This quantitative research was carried out in the form of two groups of tests before and after. The research sample was 60 students in grade XI of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. Prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity were used in the analysis of this study. The results of the study showed that the average score of the students in the Animation Video learning approach group was 44.2 and the posttest results after treatment with Animation Video learning were on average 85.  Meanwhile, the data of the problem basin learning group before the treatment was carried out, the average student score was 75 and after the treatment, the student score changed, namely with a mean value or an average score of 85. Mann-Whitney test with a baseline of Asymp values. Sig 0.05, then the hypothesis is accepted. The results of the hypothesis analysis of the SPSS software application assistance above can be concluded that based on the hypothesis test with a significance value of 0.112 or 0.05. It was interpreted that the hypothesis was rejected because there was no significant difference in the results of the students' pretest between the two treatment groups. The use of the Animation Video and Illustration Learning Model has a significant influence on basketball learning outcomes in grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang as seen from the comparison of significance values with significant norm references. In the Animation Video learning model group, it provided an increase of 12.2% while the Illustration learning model group provided an increase of 9.9%. This means that the Animated Video learning model group is an effective learning model compared to the animated video learning model on basketball learning outcomes in grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the Animation Video learning model is an effective learning model compared to the animation video learning model on basketball learning outcomes in grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Semarang.

Abstract

Edamame cultivation requires a strong technical understanding, such as the arrangement of planting distances, hole depth, and seed treatment, to achieve optimal results. Learning tools, such as student worksheets, are designed to help students systematically understand these technical steps. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of student worksheet in improving students' understanding of the edamame planting process at vocational high schools. The study was conducted in November 2024 at SMK Negeri 1 Bawen, class X ATP B. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with an evaluative approach. Data were collected from the analysis of worksheets completed by 13 student groups, questionnaires completed by 6 students, and field observations. The findings showed that the average worksheet score was 70.8, with 5 groups achieving the "very good" category. The questionnaire data supported these findings, with 5 out of 6 students giving the highest scores to statements indicating that the worksheets helped them independently follow each step of the practical activities. However, some challenges were identified, such as technical difficulties in measuring planting distances and discrepancies between the worksheet instructions and field practices.

educate the younger generation. However, there are still many obstacles, including differences in characteristics and learning needs of students. This research aims to determine the learning method using the TaRL (Teaching at The Right Level) approach in generative plant propagation material on the level of students' understanding. This type of research is classroom action research.  The research subjects using 1 class X of SMK Negeri 1 Bawen were 31 students. This research was carried out by providing pre-test and post-test questions regarding generative plant propagation. The implementation of the TaRL approach is carried out by grouping students according to their respective levels of ability, where each group consists of students who get low, medium and high scores. Grouping is done so that cooperation in groups and discussion activities to complete tasks can run smoothly and effectively. The research that has been carried out shows that the TaRL approach can improve students' understanding. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' understanding with the increase in the test results by 5.41 or increased from 84.29 to 89.70.

Abstract

Education is one of the important factors in human life to provide provisions for life through various learning processes, including physical education, sports, and health learning. However, physical activity in children is still relatively low, which is a global problem, one of which is the lack of motivation of children in exercising. For this reason, a study was conducted that applied the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in learning to pass down in volleyball. This study aims to find out the extent to which this approach can increase students' learning motivation. This research was carried out at SMA N 2 Semarang using the classroom action research method (PTK), which was carried out in two cycles. The subject of the study is students in grades X-10 at the school. The results showed that in the first cycle, the students' learning motivation was recorded with an average score of 120.27, and experienced a significant increase in the second cycle to 141.92, with an increase of 18%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in class X-10 SMA N 2 Semarang is effective in increasing students' learning motivation in PJOK subjects. Therefore, the CRT approach can be recommended as an alternative in PJOK learning.

Abstract

This research aims to find out efforts to improve playing skills through cultularry reposive teaching (CRT) learning in grade x students of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang. This research is categorized as a quantitative research that uses a quasi-experimental design approach. The research contains the impact of learning methods based on the culturally responsive teaching approach with traditional games on the learning outcomes of throwing skills. A Pretest-posttest design involving one group was used for this study. The research population consisted of students involved in class X learning at SMA Negeri 11 Semarang which amounted to 288 participants. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling. So the same method used in this study is 36 students in class X.9. This study uses the test as an assessment test instrument for the catch. Normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests are some of the analyses used in the research. Before learning the culturally responsive teaching approach with traditional games, the lowest score was 5, the highest score was 12, the average was 8.19 and the standard deviation value was 1.721. In the throwing and catching skills after learning the culturally responsive teaching approach with traditional games, the lowest score was 5, the highest score was 13, the average was 10.38 and the standard deviation value was 1.715. The final score on the throwing skill before learning the culturally responsive teaching approach with traditional games obtained the lowest score of 35, the highest score of 92, the average of 63.03 and the standard deviation value of 13.265. In the throwing and catching skills after learning the culturally responsive teaching approach with traditional games, the lowest score was 46, the highest score was 100, the average was 83.25 and the standard deviation value was 13.135. Based on the results of the study, information was obtained that the improvement in throwing skills before and after learning the culturally responsive teaching approach with traditional games experienced an average increase of 32.08%. The conclusion in this study is that the use of culturally responsive teaching approach with traditional games has an effect on the learning outcomes of throwing skills. As for the suggestions that can be given in this research, for teachers, the use of game models in learning can increase student enthusiasm.

Abstract

We expect the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve students' learning outcomes through a student-centered approach. However, the varying levels of student comprehension often pose challenges for teachers in creating effective learning. The peer tutoring method can serve as an alternative learning strategy to address this challenge, where more competent students assist their peers who have difficulty understanding the learning material. This study aims to examine the improvement of students' learning outcomes through the implementation of the peer tutoring method in problem-based learning. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of the study were 34 students of class XI ATPH A at SMK Negeri 1 Bawen. Data were collected using interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis method employed was qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed significant improvement in learning outcomes, with the mastery level increasing from 59% in the first cycle to 100% in the second cycle. Students from the less skilled group showed increased courage to ask questions and engage in discussions with their peer tutors, while tutors from the more skilled group experienced reinforced understanding and boosted self-confidence. These results indicate that the integration of the peer tutoring method in problem-based learning is not only effective in improving learning outcomes but also facilitates collaboration and social interaction among students, creating an inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

There are still some children whose numeracy and critical thinking skills do not match the expected development. Learning to count and think critically still uses less varied media. Learning media can influence children's learning outcomes. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of wordwall media on children's numeracy and critical thinking skills. The research was conducted at the Almawaddah IT Kindergarten, Semarang City. The research results show that wordwall media is quite effective in improving children's numeracy and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test the jigsaw learning model and problem-based learning based on culturally responsive teaching (CRT) in improving football learning outcomes of grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Semarang The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling. This study uses a test as an instrument, the test used is a shooting test. The normality test, homogeneity test, and difference hypothesis test and t test are the analyses used in this study. Information was obtained that the average score of the students in the jigsaw learning approach group was 74.4 and the posttest results after treatment with jigsaw learning were on average 85.  Meanwhile, the data of the problem based learning group before the treatment was carried out, the average student score was 75.3 and after the treatment, the student score changed, namely with a mean value or an average score of 85.06. It was interpreted that the hypothesis was rejected because there was no significant difference in the results of the students' pretest between the two treatment groups. The jigsaw learning model group provided an increase of 14.2%, while the problem-based learning model group provided an increase of 12.9%. The conclusion is that the use of jigsaw learning models and problem-based learning has a significant influence on football learning outcomes in grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Semarang. The jigsaw learning model group is an effective learning model compared to the Problem based learning model on football learning outcomes in grade X students of SMA Negeri 2 Semarang.

Abstract

This article examines the innovations implemented in the Independent Curriculum to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Against the background of the limitations of the previous curriculum in preparing students to face the challenges of the 21st century, this article formulates two main problems: (1) what innovations are contained in the Independent Curriculum and (2) how do they impact the quality of education. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study to analyze various sources related to curriculum development and learning tools. The purpose of this study is to explain the innovations contained in the Independent Curriculum and examine the opportunities, challenges, and impacts on the learning process in schools. The results of the study show that the Independent Curriculum offers flexible and inclusive learning methods, such as project-based learning, blended learning, and flipped classrooms. In addition, this curriculum focuses on developing students' critical, creative, and collaborative skills. Although there are challenges in its implementation, such as teacher understanding and limited resources, the Independent Curriculum has the potential to increase student motivation and form a more positive school culture, so that it can produce graduates who are ready to face social and economic changes.
