Abstract

This reserach aimed to analyze the effect of mangosteen peel infusionin flammatory cells on mice pharynx. The design used RandomizedControl Design Post Test. It analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric95%. The results showed inflammatory cells was 157.7 ?é??10.41 for control (P0), 337.5 ?é?? 18.48 for treatments P1, 287.5 ?é?? 11.90to 247.5 ?é?? treatments P2 and P3 19.36 for treatment. Abstract

Cornu ammonis (CA3 dan CA1) merupakan struktur di hipokampus yangmerupakan pusat learning and memory. Penelitian ini dilakukan untukmemperoleh gambaran perbaikan histologis lapisan CA3 dan CA1 dihipokampus otak tikus setelah suplementasi daging ikan gabus dalam pakanpasca stres. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Hewan ujiyang digunakan adalah Tikus Wistar jantan. Perlakuan yang diberikan,meliputi P0: kontrol, yaitu tikus Wistar yang dikondisikan stres selama 6 hariyang diikuti pemberian pakan tanpa suplementasi daging ikan gabus selama 14hari; P1, P2, P3, dan P4, berturut-turut adalah tikus Wistar yang dikondisikan stres yang diikuti pemberian pakan dengan suplementasi daging ikan gabus5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20%. Variabel penelitian yang diukur adalah ketebalanlapisan CA3 dan CA1. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analysisof Variance (ANOVA) pada taraf kepercayaan 95% dan dilanjutkan denganuji Duncan dengan taraf signifikansi 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkanPemberian pakan dengan suplementasi daging ikan gabus sebanyak 15%selama 14 hari pada tikus Wistar pasca stres memberi pengaruh terbaik padaperbaikan histologis lapisan CA3 dan CA1 hipokampus, berturut-turut 53,60μm2 (17,49%) dan 46,31 μm2 (78,32%), lebih baik dibanding kontrol.Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah Pemberian pakan dengan suplementasidaging ikan gabus selama 14 hari pada tikus Wistar pasca stres dapatmemperbaiki lapisan CA3 dan CA1 di hipokampus otak.Kata kunci: cornu ammonis, daging ikan gabus, hipokampus, learning and memory,suplemen

Abstract

Teachers, as facilitators should be creative in designing the learning process. One design alternative that can be used is a learning process oriented SETS. The study aims to determine the role of learning in biological vision SETS in-crease student learning outcomes biology of MAN Lasem Rembang. Research is a research and development (R & D), Kemp model. The study was done in two stages. The first stage is the stage of development of the device and the second stage is the stage of real learning. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes, activity, process skills, a positive response from students and teachers, and student learning outcomes. The conclusion is, the development of learning tools SETS vision was in-strumental and helpful in the learning process and student learning outcomes on the subjects of biology. Abstract

Lighting is an important part of poultry production. Lighting is a powerful exogen-ous factor in controlling many physiological and behavioral processes. Lighting is the most critical factor of all the environmental factors for poultry. The research aims to (1) assess the influence of intermittent lighting in intensive maintenance chickens on chicken that has been commonly maintained by to let loose (removed), (2) examine how to overcome the possibility of stress that arise in chic-kens which are usually removed, then maintained in a way grounded. The study design used was completely randomized design (CRD) in time, with three treatments are: C1 = illumination 1L: 3D: C2 = lighting 2L: 2D; and C3 = lighting 12L: 0D. Each treatment was repeated four times. The parameters studied were body weight, technique tonic immobility, and mortality. Data were analyzed and interpret- ted by analysis of variance. The results are, the imposition of intermittent lighting on the maintenance of inten-sive chicken on a scale of households, providing a positive and beneficial influence on the production aspect of weight loss and mortality. Intermittent lighting will mi-nimize the risk of stress in chickens as seen on tonic immobility technical para-meters of this study. The best performance results seen in treatment C1 (1L: 3D), the treatment of intermittent one-hour light, and 3 hours of darkness each day, from 18:00 until 06:00 hours for 10 weeks, starting the second week of the study. The conclusion is intermittent lighting treatment in the intensive maintenance chic-kens on chicken that has been commonly maintained by to let loose positive effect that can increase body weight, reduce mortality and minimize the risk of stress.Keywords: Chicken, intermittent lighting, tonic immobility

Abstract

EFFECT OF SNAIL IN FLOUR on diet AGAINST TO BODY WEIGHT AND THE CONTENT OF CARCASS FAT DUCK (Anas javanicus) ?é?á ABSTRACT Research aims to know influence granting meal snail in diet against body weight and a fat content carcass ducks (Anas javanicus) in maintenance intensively. This research held in area farm district Brebes. Research done in two months. Methods used in this research is draft random complete with five treatment and four repetition namely P1 (control), 100 % diet + 0 flour snail, P2: 95 % diet + 5 % flour snail, P3: 90 % diet + 10 % flour snail, P4: 85 % diet + 15 % flour snail, P5: 80 % diet + 20 % flour snail. Results obtained dianalisis by test normality then test homogenity and continued with anova test and Duncan. The result showed that the flour snail in rations influential significantly to body weight and a fat content carcass ducks (Anas javanicus) in maintenance intensively (P<0,05). Key words: The Body Weight, A Fat Content Carcass, Meal Snail, Ducks. ?é?áABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian tepung bekicot dalam ransum terhadap berat badan dan kandungan lemak karkas itik (Anas javanicus) dalam pemeliharaan intensif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di area peternakan Kabupaten Brebes. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan lima perlakuan dan empat pengulangan yaitu P1 (kontrol), 100% ransum +?é?á 0% tepung bekicot, P2: 95% ransum +?é?á 5% tepung bekicot, P3 : 90% ransum +?é?á 10% tepung bekicot, P4: 85% ransum + 15% tepung bekicot, P5 : 80% ransum + 20% tepung bekicot. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisi dengan uji normalitas kemudian uji homogenitas dan dilanjutkan dengan uji ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung bekicot dalam ransum berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot badan dan kandungan lemak karkas itik (Anas javanicus) dalam pemeliharaan intensif. Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui pola keterampilan berpikir kritis danmetakognitif mahasiswa di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi UniversitasPGRI Semarang. Penelitian ini melibatkan mahasiswa di semester 2 dansemester 4 yang terdiri dari 66 mahasiswa. Keterampilan berpikir kritis danmetakognitif diukur secara kuantitatif menggunakan tes essay yang dinilaidengan rubrik keterampilan metakognitif dan rubrik Hart untuk ketermpilanberpikir kritis. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif dandilanjutkan dengan analisis korelasi product moment dilanjutkan dengananalisis regresi untuk menentukan pola hubungan dari keterampilan berpikirkritis dan metakognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebaranketerampilan Keterampilan berpikir kritis dan metakognitif berkisar dalamrentang cukup. Disamping itu, ditemukan adanya hubungan yang positif antaraketerampilan berpikir kritis dan metakognitif dan pola garis regresi sebesar Y=22.380 + 0.659 X.

Abstract

Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) ialah kelompok mikroorganisme tanah yang menguntungkan bagi kesuburan tanah dan tanaman. Mikroorganisme yang hidup di daerah perakaran tersebut memiliki 3 peran utama bagi tanaman yaitu : 1) sebagai biofertilizer, 2) sebagai biostimulan, dan 3) sebagai bioprotektan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan efek suplementasi PGPR dalam dosis pemberian pupuk majemuk NPK terhadap bobot basah dan kadar klorofil daun pada tanaman pakchoy (Brassica rapa L.). Perlakuan pada penelitian ini meliputi 5 taraf perlakuan, yaitu: variasi kombinasi dosis pupuk majemuk NPK dan PGPR: NPK 100% (A0P0), NPK 75% + PGPR 25% (A1P1), NPK 50% + PGPR 50% (A2P2), NPK 25% + PGPR 75% (A3P3), PGPR 100% (A4P4). Masing – masing perlakuan diulang 5 kali. Desain percobaan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), hasil percobaan dianalisis dengan ANOVA (P < 0,05), dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan, disimpulkan bahwa bahwa ada pengaruh yang nyata pada suplementasi PGPR dalam dosis pupuk majemuk NPK pada parameter bobot basah dan kadar klorofil daun tanaman pakchoy. Bobot basah tertinggi ditunjukkan pada tanaman pakchoy yang diberi perlakuan NPK 25% + PGPR 75% (A3P3), sedangkan pada tanaman yang diberi perlakuan NPK 75% + PGPR 25% (A1P1) mampu mengakumulasi kadar klorofil tertinggi diantara daun tanaman lainnya. Kata Kunci: Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), Pupuk, NPK, Pakchoy

Abstract

ABSTRACT Waste management material on the subjects of biology can be used to enhance the values ?óÔé¼ÔÇ??óÔé¼ÔÇ?of entrepreneurship for students. Therefore, we need to develop relevant learning tools. The purpose of this research is to develop entrepreneurship-oriented learning tool which is effective to increase the values ?óÔé¼ÔÇ??óÔé¼ÔÇ?of students entrepreneurship. The study was conducted in SMA 11 Semarang (Semarang 11 th high school) with the subject of tenth grade students of the 2010/2011 school year. The type of research is the research and development (R & D). This research is used to produce certain products, as well as test the effectiveness of these products. Product to be produced is the learning tools of biology that include: instructional materials, lesson plans, syllabi and worksheets. The result showed that the resulting product has validity value of (Va.) = 4. The average score for syllabi, lesson plans, teaching materials and worksheets is = 4. In addition, the entrepreneurship learning interest of students in entrepreneurship-oriented waste management learning have increased 8.2% for ordinary regular classes and 6.4% for the excellent class. The conclusion is, the entrepreneurial-oriented learning tool developed is effective way to increase entrepreneurship interest in learning biology. Key words: waste, entrepreneurship, learning tools

Abstract

A study with R & D method focusing on improving the skills of arguing in the concept of human physiology was conducted through the development of model of Assessment Argumentative. The model was outlined in the form of argumentation observation sheet(LOAKp). A number of sixth semester students of Biology Education attending subject of Human Physiology (n=121) were involved as research subject. The implementation study applied Research and Development design. TAP (Toulmin Argumentation Pattern) comprising components of claim, warrant, backing and rebuttal had been used to analyze argumentation discourse. Arguing skills were qualitatively and quantitatively measured by complexity of argumentation pattern (PWArKp). The instrument of assessment argumentative model as observation sheet of argumentation discourse which had been implemented through stages (scaffolding) with particular standpoints. The results show that the aspects of PWArKp are generally developed from the early stages to the final stage. However, complexity of argumentationdiscourse still need to be improved because some standpoints have responed on level 1 or leve 2. Thus skills of arguing of students in complexity of argumentation pattern aspects need further in depth study by providing students more opportunities to engage in argumentative discourse.Key words: Assessment Arguementative, argumentation skill, human physiology concepts

Abstract

MAKE A MATCH IN COOPERATIVE LEARNING TO ENCHANCE THE PROTISTA CONCEPT UNDERSTANDING OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ABSTRACT Learning process in Biology High School has been improve, but there?óÔé¼Ôäós still obstacles in the concept of understanding. It looks phenomenon, because object in biology are living things, while not all objects can be presented in class. These conditions make teachers use Teacher Centered Learning method. This method was meaningful learning for students, when students complete the process, none of the concept to be understand by student. Class X?óÔé¼Ôäós learning outcomes in subject Kingdom Protista is 65% from average student did not reached the KKM, its made students followed the remedial program. Make a Match is the examples method to solve it. Make A Match is a cooperative learning model which the implementation was the students found the right partner to make a?é?á fun concept. This model enhance d student?óÔé¼Ôäós learning motivation and curiosity about the differents in Protista Kingdom, its also improve the evaluation and learner activities. It can be seen from the results, Make A Match learning methods improved the written evaluation?óÔé¼Ôäós result 102% and 84% KKM. This method also improve the skills and creativity of the students ?é?á5%. Keywords: Cooperative, Make A Match, Concept Understanding, Protista ABSTRAK Proses pembelajaran Biologi SMA telah mengalami berbagai penyempurnaan, tetapi masih ada kendala dalam memperoleh pemahaman suatu konsep. Tampak fenomena, karena objek yang dipelajari dalam biologi seluruhnya adalah mahluk hidup, sementara itu tidak semua objek dapat dihadirkan di kelas. Kondisi demikian menyebabkan sebagian besar guru?é?á mengajar dengan teknik pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru (Teacher Centered Learning). Pembelajaran yang demikian kurang bermakna bagi siswa, sehingga ketika siswa selesai mempelajarinya, tak satupun konsep tertinggal dalam pemahaman mereka. Hal ini tampak pada rendahnya hasil pembelajaran Kingdom Protista di kelas X, yaitu 65% siswa dari rata-rata kelas X?é?á di sekolah masih belum mencapai KKM sehingga siswa-siswa tersebut harus mengikuti program remidial. Make a Match adalah salah satu metode untuk mengatasinya. Metode pembelajaran Make A Match adalah metode dari model pembelajaran kooperatif yang dalam pelaksanaannya para siswa mencari pasangan yang tepat mengenai suatu konsep secara menyenangkan (fun). Dengan cara pembelajaran yang menyenangkan ini, dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan keingintahuan siswa tentang berbagai macam organisme dalam kingdom protista, sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil evaluasi dan aktivitas siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil penelitian bahwa metode pembelajaran Make A Match mampu meningkatkan hasil evaluasi tertulis sebesar 102%, disertai meningkatnya KKM mencapai 84%.
