Abstract

OPTIMIZATION OF FEED ADDITIVE ON BODY WEIGHT, ABDOMINAL FAT, AND BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS BROILER CHICKEN ABSTRACT ?é?á Culture to consume a healthy food as the factor that is very important to produce high-quality human resources.?é?á Broiler chicken is one of food consumed widely, as a source of proteins and fats in large numbers in indonesia for all age?é?á(kids and adults). This research aims to ?é?áassess the optimization of the feed additive on body weight and blood glucose. The independent variable is giving a variant of feed additive herbs (Aloe vera sp, Morinda citrifolia sp, and Zingiber officinale sp). Dependent variable is body weight, abdominal fat, and blood glucose levels. Variable control of this research is the number of feed, health management, the type of chicken, the age of chicken, and?é?á the system of cage. Some preliminary research has been done by researchers at various variant feed additive herbs to produce broiler chicken with the status of the physiology and performans ideal optimally. The results of this research shows the influence of treatment variant feed additive on increased body weight (P<0,05), There is the influence of treatment against the low blood glucose levels?é?á(P<0,05), and no influence treatment of abdominal fat (P>0,05). ?é?á Keyword: body weight, abdominal fat, blood glucose, feed additive, broiler ?é?á ABSTRAK ?é?á Budaya mengkonsumsi pangan yang sehat menjadi faktor yang sangat penting untuk menghasilkan sumber daya manusia Indonesia yang berkualitas. Ayam broiler merupakan salah satu pangan yang dikonsumsi secara luas, sebagai sumber protein dan lemak dalam jumlah besar di Indonesia untuk semua usia (anak-anak maupun dewasa). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji optimalisasi feed additive terhadap performans terhadap bobot badan dan penstabilan glukosa darah. Variabel independen adalah pemberian varian feed additive herbal (lidah buaya, buah mengkudu, jahe). Variabel dependen terdiri dari bobot badan, lemak abdominal, dan kadar glukosa darah ayam. Variabel kendali penelitian ini adalah jumlah ransum, manajemen kesehatan, jenis ayam, umur ayam, dan sistem perkandangan. Beberapa penelitian pendahuluan telah dilakukan oleh peneliti pada berbagai varian feed additive herbal untuk menghasilkan ayam broiler dengan status fisiologi ideal dan performans yang optimal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh perlakuan varian feed additive terhadap peningkatan bobot badan (P<0,05), ada pengaruh perlakuan terhadap rendahnya kadar glukosa darah (P<0,05), dan tidak ada pengaruh perlakuan terhadap lemak abdominal (P>0,05). ?é?á Kata kunci: Bobot badan, lemak abdominal, glukosa darah, feed additive, Broiler

Abstract

Virtual Laboratory Learning could be used to eliminate the limitationsof laboratory devices. A mix between the computer software which isdesigned to represent an alternative implementation concept of VirtualLaboratory. Through KD 3.4. Applying the Classification to classifyarchaebacteria and eubacteria based on characteristics and shapethrough systematic observation. It selected the Gram staining processin bacteria, which is to find groups of bacteria including GramPositive or Negative. The media influenced learning process in manysection, it is possible that the virtual lab used as a means to internalizethe values of character. This research?óÔé¼Ôäós aim was to producedLaboratory Virtual Media Instruction, which was oriented formcharacter building through the development process. The method wasused research and development refers to the flow of Borg and Gall(1989). The results showed increasement in postal value, which isused Laboratory Virtual Media, compared to pre test, but the N-gainwas quite low at 0.2. Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan dalam rangka mendeskripsikan kompetensirepresentasional mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Kompetensi representasionalyang diukur fokus pada kemampuan merepresentasikan pada tingkatmikroskopis. Mahasiswa calon guru biologi sebanyak 34 mengikuti teskemampuan representasi mikroskopis yaitu kemampuan merepresentasikanhasil pengamatan mikroskopis ke dalam mode representasi visual sertakemampuan menjelaskan dan menggunakan pemahaman representasi tingkatmikroskopis untuk menjelaskan dan memprediksi fenomena padarepresentasi tingkat makroskopis pada struktur perkembangan tumbuhan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa calon guru mampu mentransformasikanmode representasi, namun belum mampu menggunakan untuk membangunpenjelasan berdasarkan representasi mikroskopis.Kata kunci: calon guru, kompetensi representasional, representasimikroskopis.

Research using the method of quasi experiment with the static group pretest-posttestdesign involving 64 high school students the second semester of class X, whichconsists of 32 students grade class experiment, and 32 students on the control of onhigh school in the Cimahi city of Bandung. Practicum based learning is to orient andtrain students to formulate problems, conduct investigations, solve problems andreflect the results of the investigation. Research data captured by using a test instrumentshapedscientificattitudelikert scale, students' questionnaire responses, observationsheets,andinterviews.The results showed that the scientific attitude of students who use practicum basedlearning differ significantly with students who learn in the conventional. These resultsare evidenced by the N-gain students scientific attitude control class of 0.13while the N-gain experimental class scientific attitude is better than the control class,which is 0.33. Based on questionnaire responses of students concluded that studentsliked the practicum based learning, because it can facilitate?é?á in understanding thesubject matter, invites students to actively and build cooperation among students.The results of the observation sheet analysis showed activity and positive studentattitudes toward lab activities. Interviews with teachers also showed positive responsestopracticumbasedlearning.The conclusion is practicum based learning had a positive impact in developingscientific attitude students'.Keywords:?é?á learning, practicum, scientific attitude, students', invertebrate ABSTRAK Salah satu masalah yang dihadapi dunia pendidikan kita adalah masih lemahnyaproses pembelajaran, siswa kurang didorong untuk mengembangkan kemampuanberpikir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sikap ilmiah siswa, sertamengidentifikasi tanggapan guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran berbasis praktikumpada konsep invertebrata.Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain quasi eksperimen thestatic group pretest-posttest design yang melibatkan 64 siswa SMA kelas X semesterII, yang terdiri atas 32 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 32 siswa kelas kontrol pada salahsatu SMA swasta di kota Cimahi Bandung. ?é?áHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap ilmiah siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaranberbasis praktikum berbeda secara signifikan dengan siswa yang belajarsecara konvensional. Parameter that evaluated include dry matter intake, consumption of crude protein, protein digestion. Result of the research shown that the average of dry matter intake to T1, T2 and T3 were 958,99; 981,51 and 1242,73 g/goat/day?é?á (P<0,05).?é?á The?é?á average?é?á of?é?á consumption?é?á of?é?á crude protein?é?á to?é?á T1,?é?á T2?é?á and?é?á T3?é?á were?é?á 114,69;?é?á 144,44?é?á and?é?á 233,11 g/goat/day(P<0,05). Abstract

The aim was to obtained growth regulator effect in sugarcane multiplication?óÔé¼Ôäós method. This research was expected to support particular sugarcane seedlings progam. The sugarcane?óÔé¼Ôäós clone used VMC as explan for this research. The explan used medium MS0, MS + 0,5 mg/l BAP, MS + 1 mg/l BAP + 0,5 mg/l IBA, MS + 1,5 mg/l BAP + 0,5 mg/l IBA. It?óÔé¼Ôäós repetead 3 times and consisted 3 samples. Research?óÔé¼Ôäós parameters observed percentage and growing shoot?óÔé¼Ôäós speed, bud?óÔé¼Ôäós number, and shoots. MS + 1,5 mg/l BAP + 0,5 mg/l IBA had the best growthed and shoot?óÔé¼Ôäós number among the other concetration; which was showed 66,67%.Keywords: tissue culture, growth regulator, sugarcane shoot

Abstract

Kualitas air dari suatu sumber air permukaan dapat dilihat atau diamati darikandungan oksigen terlarutnya (DO), kebutuhan biologi akan oksigen (BOD)dan kebutuhan kimiawi akan oksigen (COD). Jumlah penduduk yang relatiftinggi, serta kepadatan wilayah pemukiman akan menyebabkan limbahbuangan rumah tangga berupa limbah organik akan meningkat yang disertaipeningkatan kadar amonia dan hidrogen sulfida. Amonia larut di dalam air danakan membentuk senyawa amonium yang cenderung mengikat oksigen.Senyawa amonium dan oksigen akan membentuk senyawa nitrit (NO2). Nitritsangat berbahaya untuk tubuh terutama bayi di bawah umur 3 bulan, karenadapat menyebabkan methaemoglobinemia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalahmengetahui kadar nitrit air sumur gali, kondisi air dan kriteria air sumur dikelurahan Meteseh, Kecamatan Tembalang Kota Semarang. Metode yangdigunakan adalah observasi langsung dan pengamatan laboratorium, kemudiandianalisis dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, penentuan sampel denganmetode purposife sampling. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa air sumur gali yang kandungan nitritnya sudah melebihi ambang bakumutu yang di syaratkan sesuai dengan UU No 82 tahun 2001, diantaranyaadalah air sumur di Perumahan Dinar Mas, air sumur gali di perumahan DinarElok dan air sumur gali di Perumahan Puri Dinar Asri.Kata kunci: air sumur , kadar nitrit

Abstract

Bahan bakar berbasis fosil masih sangat besar. Saat ini konsumsi bahan bakar berbasis fosil di indonesia mencapai 1,3 juta barel per hari. Sementara itu, produksi hanya mencapai 900.000 barel per hari. Seiring semakin berkurangnya material bahan non-terbarukan, timbulah teknologi lain yaitu dengan mengembangkan biodiesel. Biodiesel menggunakan bahan tanaman dan sangat berpotensi pada jenis mikroalga. Mikroalga mampu menghasilkan minyak 30 kali lipat lebih banyak daripada sejumlah tanaman tingkat tinggi lainnya. Potensi wilayah Indonesia yang 75% berupa lautan, mikroalga air laut menjadi kandidat yang potensial sebagai sumber bahan bakar nabati yang kontinyu. Chlorella sp. merupakan salah satu mikroalga yang berpotensi menghasilkan lipid dengan kandungannya 28%-32% dari berat kering, terhitunga masih rendah daripada beberapa mikroalga jenis lainnya. Dilakukan uji coba dengan starvasi nitrogen atau pembatasan nitrogen pada medium kultivasi mikroalga agar metabolism karbon pada mikroalga diarahkan pada sintesis lipid. Mikroalga dikultivasi terlebih dahulu menggunakan variabel air laut tertentu dan diamati laju pertumbuhannya untuk mengetahui medium optimum, yaitu air laut : aquadest = 50:50. Lalu, mikroalga dikultivasi pada medium optimum dengan variable konsentrasi mikroalga, didapat konsentrasi optimum sebesar 60%. Mikroalga kemudian dikultivasi dengan variable laju alir nitrogen, berdasrkan penelitian Noerdjito, dkk., bahwa kandungan lipid sebesar 16,83% berpotensi sebagai bahan baku biodiesel.Kata kunci : biodiesel, mikroalga, lipid, Chlorella sp, starvasi nitrogen

Abstract

Chicken is one source of animal protein for humans. Chicken body weight can be used as one indicator of the amount of protein in the body of chicken. Therefore, efforts to increase body weight become very im-portant in poultry, especially kampong chickens. This study aims to determine the significance of the pattern of food ra-tions by the addition of shrimp waste and spinach to the increased weight of kampong chicken (Gallus bankiva) the most effective. The study was conducted in Semarang. The subjects were 60 chickens that are kept for eight weeks. The design used was completely ran-domized design (CRD) with four treatments and five replicates. Data analyzed by Anova. The results shows that the influence of ration patterns with the addition of shrimp waste and spinach of weight gain, which is very significant at 1% probability level. The highest mean is in D treatment (ration plus the waste of shrimp and spinach) The conclusion is, the pattern of the feed ration is very important in in-creasing kampong chicken body weight. If the pattern rations are proper, the addition of chicken body weight will reach the optimum. Waste shrimp and spinach can meet the nutritional needs of kampong chicken. Abstract

This Research to know influence giving of extract fruit Mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia) to histopatologi of white mouse (Rattus norvegicus) testis following an inhalation cigarette smoke and to know how much is giving of extract fruit of Mengkudu more having an effect on in an optimal fashion for the minimization of to damage of testicle seminiferus tubulus white mouse given by wistar galur cigarette smoke treatmen.Eksperiment design in this research use completely random design (RAL) by four treatment that is (A) mouse + cigarette smoke + 0 ml / fruit extract day of Mengkudu as control; (B) mouse + cigarette smoke + 0,9 ml / fruit extract day of Mengkudu; ( C) mouse + cigarette smoke + 1,8 ml / fruit extract day of Mengkudu; (D). mouse + cigarette smoke + 2,7 ml / fruit extract day of Mengkudu, by four replication. Para-meter the measured white mouse testis seminiferus tubulus histopatologi. Research executed by UNNES in January 2011 until March 2011.Result of research indicate that treatment of fruit extract of mengkudu give influence which signifikan ( p< 0,05) to white mouse testis seminiferus tubulus histopatologi of wistar galur. Usage of fruit extract of Mengkudu dose 1,8 ml / day optimal dose in minimization damage of white mouse testis seminiferus tubulus, following an inhalation cigarette smoke.From result of the research can be concluded that usage of fruit extract of Meng-kudu can minimization damage of white mouse testis seminiferus tubulus given by cigarette smoke treatmen. But antioksidan with excessive dose can turn into pro-oksidan so that earn damage watering down effect of free radical.Keywords : fruit extract of mengkudu, testis, histopatologi, cigarette smoke
