Abstract

This article discusses the role of the Jakarta Provincial Government in empowering education during the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic entered Indonesia and has had a significant impact on several sectors, including the economy, tourism, socio-cultural issues, and education. The enactment of educational policies has significantly impacted teaching and learning programs in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. One such policy is large-scale social restrictions, which have resulted in all teaching and learning activities, previously conducted in schools, being conducted online. There are several advantages to conducting online teaching and learning activities, including increasing learning independence, interest, and motivation. However, these advantages also have disadvantages, including consuming large data quotas, weak internet signals because not all students live in strategic areas, and time differences in each region, making it difficult to coordinate learning times. The role of the Jakarta Provincial Government in empowering education will significantly assist students in teaching and learning activities during the current pandemic. This study aims to determine the role of the Jakarta Provincial Government in empowering education and its impacts. The author used a qualitative research method with information gathered from the internet.

Abstract

The distribution of Social Assistance Funds in Indonesia has always been an absolute legal problem, especially during the current Pandemic. The policy carried out by the government in the distribution of Social Assistance has had a major influence on the community due to the existence of a government policy that implements the Lockdown or PSBB system to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus. We see that not a few Indonesians especially Provinces Sumatera Selatan work as online motorcycle taxis, traders, and other odd jobs who have middle to lower incomes. Therefore, the government should facilitate or provide social assistance to communities affected by the Lockdown or PSBB that has been implemented. The government must also pay attention to the price of affordable food needs, especially for people with low income. In this article, I try to explain a little about the pandemic that occurred in South Sumatra Province, whether it has been evenly distributed or not. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive techniques and data collection through literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the distribution of social assistance has not been implemented properly and evenly. The impact of this polemic is the existence of injustice to the middle and lower class of society.

Abstract

This article examines the political strategies employed in the 2018 Village Head Election in Gondowangi Village, Magelang Regency. Political strategy plays an essential role in electoral contests because it influences candidate competitiveness and voter support (Schroder, 2009). This study aims to analyze the political strategies and political communication patterns implemented by the candidates during the election process. The research employed a qualitative case study approach using observations and interviews with campaign teams and community members. The findings reveal that the candidates utilized various political strategies, including personal branding, voter mobilization, campaign activities, and interpersonal political communication. Effective communication with community leaders and local organizations significantly contributed to increasing electoral support. The study concludes that political strategy and political communication are important determinants of success in village head elections, particularly in building public trust and consolidating voter support.

Abstract

Abstract This article discusses the doubts born in Jakarta about Covid-19 vaccination that has an impact on the crisis of public trust. In the world of health, vaccination becomes part of the health body because it has the function to prevent various diseases so that it has the potential to save lives and of course have a good impact on the economy of a country. The purpose of this article is to examine (1)the factors behind the public's hesitation in vaccinating, (2)how the government responds to this, (3) the impact of these doubts. In conducting the research, researchers used qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis techniques, with a case study approach. The case study raised is about the doubts of the people of Jakarta in vaccinating Covid-19. In collecting data, researchers used library studies sourced from articles as well as journals. The results of this study show that doubts born in the community are caused by people who are not pro to the government. Not only that, there are other indicators, namely distrust of science, distrust of the government and pharmaceutical companies, excessive attitudes from the government to influence the public, and the continuity of communication between the public and the government. Keywords: disinformation, public distrust, covid-19 vaccination   Abstrak Artikel ini membahas mengenai keraguan yang lahir di masyarakat Jakarta engenai vaksinasi Covid-19 yang berdampak pada krisis kepercayaan masyarakat. Dalam dunia kesehatan, vaksinasi menjadi bagian dari tubuh kesehatan karena didalamnya memiliki fungsi untuk mencegah berbagai penyakit sehingga berpotensi dalam menyelamatkan nyawa dan tentunya berdampak baik pula terhadap perekonomi suatu negara. Tujuan dituliskannya artikel ini yakni untuk mengkaji (1)faktor yang melatarbelakangi masyarakat ragu melakukan vaksinasi, (2)bagaimana sikap pemerintah merespon hal ini, (3) dampak daripada keraguan ini. Dalam melakukan penelitian, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik deskriptif analisis, dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Studi kasus yang diangkat yakni mengenai keraguan masyarakat Jakarta dalam melakukan vaksinasi Covid-19. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan studi perpustakaan yang bersumber dari artikel serta jurnal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keraguan yang lahir di masyarakat disebabkan oleh masyarakat yang tidak pro kepada pemerintah. Tak hanya itu, terdapat indikator lainnya yakni adanya ketidakpercayaan akan sains, ketidakpercayaan akan pemerintah serta perusahaan farmasi, sikap berlebihan dari pemerintah untuk mempengaruhi publik, serta adanya ketidaksinambungan komunikasi antara masyarakat dengan pemerintah.

Abstract

Perkembangan konsep smart city semakin semakin diterapkan seiring hadirnya media teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Konsep smart city atau kota cerdas didefinsikan sebagai sebuah konsep pengembangan dan pengelolaan kota dengan pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) untuk menghubungkan, memonitor, dan mengendalikan berbagai sumber daya yang ada didalam kota dengan lebih efektif dan efisien untuk memaksimalkan pelayanan kepada warganya serta mendukung pembangunan yang berkelanjutan. Berkembangnya konsep tersebut, membuat Kota Yogyakarta bergerak untuk mengembangkannya sehingga nantinya dapat mengelola tata perkotaan yang lebih baik sekaligus dapat memajukan kota serta memberikan fasilitas yang efektif, efisien, nyaman, dan inovatif kepada masyarakat luas. Salah satunya dengan meluncurkan Aplikasi Jogja Istimewa yang merupakan sebuah media informasi yang terintegrasi memberikan kemudahan bagi para penggunanya, karena di dalamnya terdapat informasi yang berkenaan dengan pelayanan publik (kesehatan, budaya, pariwisata, layanan polisi, bisnis, pendidikan, transportasi, cctv).

Abstract

The government must fulfill the basic needs and rights of civil society through efforts to provide quality public services. Efforts through service quality evaluation are one of the right steps to review the success of each region in providing public services according to applicable rules, especially in small sub-units such as villages. The purpose of this research is to measure the success of Pancana Village services using the benchmark of Permendagri No. 7 of 2017 for the realization of self-sufficient villages. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques used by the author in this study are library research, field studies consisting of observations and interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis used descriptive analysis techniques, namely to analyze more deeply about the evaluation of service quality in Pancana village through one special indicator, namely Permendgari No.2 of 2017. maximum, every SPM indicator has been met 2) Pancana Village has been categorized as a self-sufficient village in Barru Regency from around 40 villages, not only that the efforts of village government officials to lead Pancana village as a self-sufficient village are realized by making Pancana village a tourist village.

Abstract

The problem with this research is the lack of capacity building for the sub-district head in coaching village heads so that there are still some village heads who do not understand how to carry out their duties. The purpose of this study was to find out how the quality of the Camat's Capacity Building in Conducting Village Head Coaching in Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency. This study used qualitative research methods. The indicators in this study are human resources, organization and institutional reform. The use of this qualitative method aims to support the level of results so that they can be accounted for and easy to understand. This research data collection instrument prioritizes interviews as a means of obtaining the main raw materials to obtain appropriate results. The key informants of this research were the Kerinci Kanan Sub-district Head, Kerinci Kanan Village Head, Kerinci Kiri Village Head, Bukit Agung Village Head, and one of the people from each village. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that capacity building is not a process that starts from scratch but starts from building existing potential and then processed to further improve the quality of self, groups, organizations, and systems in order to survive in an environment that undergoes continuous change by utilizing cooperation between sub-district apparatus with village apparatus.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of vigilante actions carried out  by the residents of Sukaraja Village and the existence of misunderstandings. This study aims to discuss the political communication of the village chief and the Village Consultative Body in their role to prevent social conflict in Sukaraja Village, Semaka District, Tanggamus Regency and discuss influencing factors to prevent social conflict in Sukaraja Village, Semaka District, Tanggamus Regency using the Harold Lasswell paradigm. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the village chief used interpersonal communication in his political communication with the Village Consultative Body to prevent social conflict. The interpersonal communication of the village head preventing social conflict uses an interactional communication model and a transactional communication model with the equalitarian style and the controlling style. Meanwhile, the interpersonal communication of the Village Consultative Body uses and interactional communication model with the equalitarian style of communication. The form of communication between the village head and the Village Consultative Body are in the form of conversation, dialogue and sharing.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) consist of several business sectors, one of which is the culinary business sector. One type of culinary business that is currently developing is the Food Court business, Food Court is a place to eat with counters or stalls consisting of various food vendors and provided a common area for self-serve dining. from the conclusion that the role of the local government in developing the food court business has not been implemented properly and the positive impact of this development is felt by the community, especially for business actors in Goedang kapas. The negative impact is that the impact of Food Court type MSMEs especially in Goedang Kapas in economic development in Jeneponto Regency does not have a significant influence between the increase in per capita income and the development that occurs in Food Court type MSMEs especially in Goedang Kapas
