Abstract

SMEs continuously seeking for knowledge advancement to improve their performance and keep pace with the new ways of doing business, the acquisition of knowledge equip SMEs to come to terms with the realities of the new order. This study examined knowledge advancement and application in e-business for SMEs in Nigeria. To achieve these laudable objectives two hypotheses were formulated to establish whether or not there is a relationship existing between the two intervening variables i.e. knowledge advancement and application in e-business and the growth and development for SMEs in Nigeria in general and Delta state in particular. Survey research design was adopted, while data were obtained from structured questionnaire and analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment coefficient of correlation. From the analysis, the results indicated that there is an existing relationship between the variables. Based on the findings it was concluded that for SMEs to stand the test of time, the need to continue to seek for new ways of doing business and innovation becomes imperative. Among others, the study recommended that SMEs should embark on intensive training, skill acquisition and development exercise to keep pace with the new order.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the influence of Experiential Marketing, quality of service, and customer satisfaction towards customer loyalty by developing a research model and 6 hypotheses filed in this study. The number of samples was 160 respondents, namely the customer of PT POS Indonesia (Persero) Semarang with incidental sampling through questionnaires. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) of Software AMOS 21.0 based on data analysis results, it can be concluded that the model received good/fit and subsequent research results showed there were 3 hypotheses received and 3 hypotheses were rejected.

Abstract

Developed countries are racing to propose new concept of technology revolution that will bring more benefit to human life. In industrial level, the concept of industry 4.0 has been introduced and applied by most developed countries. Meanwhile, the developing countries are preparing themselves to adopt this new concept and increase their competitiveness in the global market. Indonesia is not excluded from this euphoria. However a lack of regional economic study becomes barrier, especially the readiness of Indonesia to adopt industry 4.0 remains a big question. This study aims to provide a descriptive analysis of Indonesia readiness for industry 4.0 based on its economic and information communication and technology (ICT) development at provincial level. Data visualization and regional economic portfolio matrix analysis method were employed to analyze secondary data from various valid and reliable sources. Jakarta, East Java, West Java, Central Java, Riau, Banten, South Sulawesi and East Kalimantan becomes the most promising provinces with gross regional domestic product and ICT development index above average. Meanwhile, North Sumatra has gross regional domestic product above the average but ICT development index below the average. Reversely, provinces like West Sumatra, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Papua, Bali, Riau Islands, Yogyakarta and North Kalimantan have ICT development index above the average but gross regional domestic product below the average. The other provinces out of those that are already mentioned still need to spend more effort to increase its economic performance and ICT development within their region.

Abstract

Small and Medium Industries have become the largest industry in Indonesia that has an important role in the Indonesian economy due to its ability to encourage economic growth and create new sources of entrepreneurship. Small and Medium Industries are expected to be more creative and prepared in marketing strategies to deal with an increasingly complex business environment. This study aims to examine the effect of marketing knowledge competence and entrepreneurial orientation on marketing performance through marketing capabilities. The population in this study was the Small and Medium Industries of Tofu in Magelang City. The number of samples used was 94 respondents. The sampling technique uses saturated samples. The data were analyzed using the method of descriptive analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis using IBM SPSS version 22. The results of the study show that marketing knowledge competency and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive and significant effect on marketing performance. Marketing capability could mediate the influence of marketing knowledge competencies and entrepreneurial orientation on marketing performance. The advice given is that the Small and Medium Industries of Tofu practitioners should innovate more in tofu products, conduct promotions, provide the best service to customers, and be able to maintain the quality of tofu. The next researcher is expected to add references related to marketing knowledge competence and expand the scope of the object.

Abstract

The aims of this paper is to analyze the effect of the relationship between knowledge and on green management and its implication on competitive advantage and sustainable performannce. This study used a quantitative research approach that explains the phenomenon by collecting numerical data analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM) with the WarpPLS program application. The population in this study were small or medium business owners (general managers) in the industrial sector in the city of Semarang. Knowledge and green management have a significant effect on competitive advantages and competitive advantages has a significant effect on the sustainability performance. It means that the knowledge and green management simultaneously shows a significant effect on competitive advantages and sustainability performance. The application of green management will also improve sustainability performance. The originality of this study is on the testing of simultaneous relationships between the factors making up the application of green management, namely knowledge as well as the impact of green management implementation on sustainability performance.

Abstract

This research is intended to prove the influence of financial flexibility, asset structure, firm size, profitability and business risk on the capital structure. The population on this study are property, real estate and building construction sector that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2009-2018. The number of samples used were 28 companies with a purposive sampling method. The data studied was obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Methods of data analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression. The results showed that financial flexibility has not significant negative effect on capital structure. Asset structure and firm size have a significant positive effect on capital structure. The profitability and business risk have a significant negative effect on capital structure. Further research is needed to use another proxies such as ROE for profitability variables or standard deviations from ROE for business risk on capital structure and add another sectors or the number of observation periods.
