Abstract

Correlation of Farmers Motivation to Cultivate Vegetables with TheirInvolvement atPeken Carik Activity in Subak Sembung, Peguyangan Village,North Denpasar Sub-districtVegetables are one of the horticultural sub-sector plants which is amount cultivatedbylots of farmers, one of them is farmers in Subak Sembung, Peguyangan Village,North Denpasar Sub-district. Subak Sembung developed into an ecotourism and has asupporting program known as peken carik activity. All of farmers in Subak Sembungare involved at peken carik activity and make it as an shopping tour media to sellvegetables to people which is in line with their motivation to cultivate vegetables. Thisresearch aims to determine the level of farmers motivation to cultivate vegetables, thelevel of farmers involvement at peken carik activity, and correlation between thefarmers motivation to cultivate vegetables with their involvement at peken carik activityin Subak Sembung, Peguyangan Village, North Denpasar Sub-district. Sampling are 60respondent using incidental method. The data were analyzed used qualitative analysisand quantitative analysis of Spearman rank correlation test.The result of qualitativeanalysis to describe the level of farmers motivation to cultivate vegetables was in highcategory, however the level of farmers involvement at peken carik activity was in verylow category. The result of Spearman rank correlation test showed the correlation offarmer motivation to cultivate vegetables with their involvement at peken carik activityin Subak Sembung, Peguyangan Village, North Denpasar Sub-districtwas in lowcategory.

Abstract

Abstract The Siam Citrus Farming Development Prospects in the Village of Pupuan, Tegallalang Sub-District, the Regency of Gianyar Indonesia is an agricultural country and it means that farming plays important thing for the overall national economy. It can be seen from the numbers of people who live and work in the agricultural sector or national products which come fromagriculture. Subagricultural sector consists of several sub-sectors, namely food sub-sector, horticulture, plantation, animal husbandry, fishery, and for estryas well as agricultural services. Horticultureis one of the sub-sectors that has huge potential to be developed as aregional and national economic growth. Horticultural crops include fruit trees, vegetables and flowers, which is mostly perishable but it is needed everyday in the fresh condition. Siam citrus is one of the horticultural crops that have good prospects for the development effort. The Gianyar Regency is the second largest citrus producerin the Province of Bali with a total production of 446,757. Results of the study indicated that; (1) Revenues from citrus farming in 2014 was  averagely of Rp 13,708,342.01 per hectare ; (2) The value of R/C Ration of Siam citrus farmin the village of Pupuan, Sub-District of Tegallalang, Gianyar in 2014 amounted to 1.39 ; (3) Constraints experienced by the Siam citrus farmers consisted of two factors, namely internal factors such aspest attack, and external factors such as the marketing of Siam citrus was still conducted through middlemen and lack of transportation facilities to market the production to traditional markets in order togain greater profits. Abstract

Optimizing Sales Turnover and Price of Kapri RoastedPeanuts in Obtaining Profit (A Case Study at UD Monang)The development of small businesses, particularly agro-industries should be gettingmore attention, because it is very vulnerable to any risks as a result of uncertainty inthe field of farming and the lower quality of Human Resources on small businesses.It is necessary for improvement in the management in order to be able to earn aprofit in the long run. The management of agro-industry, especially smallbusinesses, is an important topic that should continuously be improved and studiedin order to reach more effective management. The purpose of this study is: to findout the sales turnover to be done in order to obtain maximum profits, to determinehow the sales volume each month that must be offered in order not to lose, whatprice per kg should be offered to customers, and whether UD Monang has thebargaining position in selling its roasted kapri peanuts. The results of the studyindicated that the peanuts’ optimal sales volume, so that UD Monang can gainmaximum profit if UD Monang is able to sell peanuts 2,875.67 kg/month. Thecritical point of losses occurred on the sales volume of 1,013.58 kg/month. Theselling price of peanut offer should range between IDR 27,000.00/kg. to IDR37,558.50/kg. UD Monang’s bargaining position was 34% of the agreed price bythe customers / consumers.

Abstract

Participation Of Irrigation Organization Of Subak In The Program Of Rice Seed Breeding Of Pt. Pertani (Persero) (A Case In The Subak Bengkel, Bengkel Village, Kediri Sub-District Of Tabanan Regency) PT. Pertani is a state-owned company engaged in seeding. In SubakBengkel, the participating parties in the breeding program were only TempekPagedangan. The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of farmers, the benefits and constraints in seed breeding program. The approach used is qualitative descriptive method. The results of the research show that participation in social aspect covers the activity of farmer giving idea, opinion and thought. Participation in terms of economic aspects include payment of contributions and voluntary contributions. Participation in terms of technical aspects include farmer breeders want to adopt rice seeding techniques. The benefits of breeding programs from the social aspect include good relationships among fellow breeders, good relationships with partners. Benefits in terms of economic aspects include higher purchased of grain prices. Benefits in terms of technical aspects of obtaining rice cultivation techniques. Constraints in the breeding program from the social aspect include: strict requirements of PT. Pertani, it is difficult to change perceptions and there is a threat from rice milling. Constraints in terms of economic aspects include a lack of money and land capital. Obstacles in terms of technical aspects include lazy farmers and hard to get the basic seed. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the farmers were greatly participating in the SubakBengkel in breeding program. Judging from the problem, farmers are expected to learn the cultivation of rice seed, PT. Pertani should disseminate the program intensively, the community group of TempekPagedangan should immediately solve the problem by consensus.

Abstract

The Marketing Strategy Salted Peanut Women Farmers Group Sinar Rejeki in Jumpai Village, Klungkung District, Klungkung RegencyThe marketing strategy is a fundamental statement about the impact expected to be achieved in terms of demand on the specified target market. Oriented marketing strategy to create added value for customers and establish cooperative relationships with customers. The marketing strategy has a broad scope in the field of marketing include the strategy in the face of competitors, pricing strategy, product strategy, and so on. This study aims to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and strategies that must be done by the Women Farmers Group Sinar Rejeki in Jumpai  village, Klungkung  District, Klungkung Regency on the marketing of salted peanuts. This research was conducted in November to June 2016 held at the Women Farmers Group Sinar Rejeki in Jumpai Village, Klungkung District, Klungkung Regency. Source of research data from primary and secondary data. The key informants of this study classified a key informant for the weights (Women Farmers Group Sinar Rejeki and Agriculture, Plantation and Forestry Klungkung) and key informants for the rating (customers and competitors). This method of analysis used in this research is the analysis of the enterprise environment consisting from IFAS matrix (internal strategy factors) and matrix analysis EFAS (external strategic factors), and SWOT matrix. The analysis showed that the matrix IFAS earn a score of 2,9 and EFAS matrix given a score of 3,55.

Abstract

Marketing component of Herbal Tea Bukit Hexon at PT. Karya Pak OlesTokcer Denpasar Bali Marketing is a combination of four variables that are the core of the company'smarketing system, consisting of product, price, place/distribution channels, andpromotions. This study is aimed at identifying the components of marketing carriedout by PT. Karya Pak Oles Tokcer and the constraints faced in marketing theirproducts. The research location was selected by purposive sampling. Types of datacollected included primary and secondary data. Data were collected by observation,interview, and documentation study. Data were analyzed descriptively andqualitatively. Based onthe results of research known component of the marketingdone by PT. By Pak Oles lessening of the products that the company provides onetype of packing to look more attractive in the eyes of connsumers, this type of use thepacking box. The selling price of tea sold is determined based on a calculation of rawmaterial usage, labor, production, operating costs and other costs. Based on theplace/distribution channels, herbal tea Bukit Hexon marketed through directmarketing distribution channel and indirectly. Promotional products are madethrough direct marketing activities (sales counter), sales promotion (rebates andbonuses) and advertising (flyers, newspaper and radio from the company it self).Constraints facing the company consists of internal and external constraints. Internalconstraints in terms of the promotion are less effective. External constraints in termsof competitors’ similar products. Suggested the company should use the print media,better known by the public such as the Bali Post and electronic media such as ads ontelevision so that are building relationships with the community and having apromotion more aggressively by opening a special stand tea sales as practiced bycompanies other tea products.

Abstract

Trikaya Foundation Partnership Pattern in the Development of Organic RiceFarming in Subak Purnajaya, Lebih Village, Gianyar Sub-District, GianyarRegencyRice as one of agriculture's mainstay commodities in Gianyar Regency whichhasbig opportunity, but Subak Purnajaya in the Lebih Village only able to produce anaverage of 2.5 up to 3 tons/ha with conventional farming systems and do not get marketguarantee. Seeing these conditions, the Trikaya Foundation created an organic rice pilotproject by embracing farmers to be its partners. This study aims to: (1) Analyze thecharacteristics of Subak Purnajaya before the partnership is implemented; (2) Analyzethe pattern and mechanism of partnership that is applied; (3) Analyze the obstaclesfaced in realizing the sustainability of partnerships between the foundation and subaks.The analytical method used was qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Theresults of the study showed that (1) The characteristics of Subak Purnajaya before thepartnership was implemented, namely the limited knowledge possessed by farmers andthe subak was still applying conventional farming systems; (2) The partnershipimplemented in the Subak Purnajaya was a pattern of Agribusiness OperationPartnership; (3) The foundation constraints had not optimally accommodated farmersproduction and limited infrastructure facilities, while the constraints of farmers found itdifficult to find harvesters during great harvest time and are still dependent on thefoundation. Based on the results of the research, the foundation should be able to utilizethe role of social media to reach a wider market segments and improve the managementsystem in establishing partnerships, while farmers continue practicing organic farmingbecause it is more profitable than the conventional systems.

Abstract

Abstract Analysis of Financial Ratios Cooperatin Village Unit (KUD) Panca Satya at Dawan Subdistrict, Klungkung Regency As integral part of national economic arrangement, the cooperation have strategic position and role in order to grow public economic potency. Since relased Inpres number 18 in 1998, The KUD do not as single cooperation at subdistrict level. Government program to develop villager like distribution of fertilizer, seed and suply of paddy at this time conducted via KUD. This study aims to find out the financial ratio of KUD Panca Satya Dawan in 2009 until 2013 viewed from financial aspect and financial situation by using financial ratio like: liquidity ratio, solvability ratio and profitability ratio affecting the financial performance of this KUD were also determined. The kind of data collected data qualitative and quantitative. Data collection method used observation, interview, documentation, and the literature study. Based on financial analysis, liquidity ratio and profitability was moderate, solvability ratios was bad. Horizontal analysis viewed from sheet balance and calculation of SHU show was good. Vertical analysis measured by using balance sheet and calculation of SHU tend improvement and fluctuation. Based on this research it can be suggested is KUD of Panca Satya Dawan should improve its performance to reach maximal profit and more improve their service. Decrease of solvability can be overcome by decrease its debt. Keywords: financial ratio, analysis of horizontal vertical

Abstract

Correlation Between Farmer Characteristic With Their Motivation In CultivateA Sugar Cane (In Case Of Dewi Ratih 1 Farmer Group At Maospati Village,Subdistrict Of Maospati, Magetan Regency) Sugar cane plant plays an important role in meeting the sugar consumtion needs ofsociety and industrial sector. In order to support the improvement of sugar cane plantproduction, the government should provide an input or direction that is needed bysugar cane farmers as a motivation for farmers to increase the production of sugarcane as a raw material for sugar. The characteristics of the farmers have become oneof important factors that affect the farmer motivation in cultivation of sugar caneplant in farmer’s group of Dewi Ratih 1, Maospati Village, Maospati Districts,Magetan Regency. Which is expected to be a reference for the government and thefarmers in determine the policies and development strategies in order to make sugarcane farming can improve revenue and the welfare of the farmers. The purpose ofthis research is to identify the characteristics of the farmer, motivation of the farmersin cultivating sugar cane plant and determine the correlation between the farmerscharacteristics and the farmer motivation in cultivating sugar cane plant in farmer’sgroup of Dewi Ratih 1, Maospati village, Maospati districts, Magetan regency. Thissampling by using simple random method. Data analysis method that is used isdescriptive analysis and spearman rank correlation coefficient test. The result ofdescriptive analysis shows that the farmers characteristics included in the lowcategory, while the farmer motivation in cultivation of sugar cane plant included inthe medium category. The result of spearman rank correlation analysis shows that thecharacteristics of the farmers who have a significant correlation with the motivationof the farmers is age, household income, vast of arable land, the number ofhousehold members, and farming experience.
