Abstract

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is the first pandemic in history where technologies and social media are used on a large scale to make people safe, informed, productive, and connected. At the same time, these technologies enabled the rise of the infodemic, which endangered pandemic control. This study aimed to assess COVID-19 information exposure in the community, the efforts to find related information in online media, and COVID-19 preventive behavior. A cross-sectional study was conducted with 909 participants in Indonesia using the consecutive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed through social media (WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook) and analyzed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis (Chi-square test), and multivariate analysis (multiple logistic regression). The results showed that about 838 (92.2%) participants said they often or always obtain information about COVID-19 online, 662 (72.8%) participants stated that information from online sources increased their knowledge of the disease, and 728 (80.1%) said that online information enabled them to make preventive efforts. Marital status (AOR: 1.81, p-value = 0.002) and perceived susceptibility (AOR: 1.42, p-value= 0.011) were the most influential factors for COVID-19 preventive behaviors. Information sources and channels frequently accessed by the community must be professionally managed by the government as valuable tools for mitigating an epidemic or pandemic.

Abstract

Analisis menggunakan pendekatan Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) yang meliputi lima indikator: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude toward using, behavioral intention to use, dan actual system use.

Abstract

Background: Maternal and child health is one part of the SDGs. The transformation of health technology requires the development and use of digitalization technology in the health sector. The e-KIA Cohort application was introduced in 2021 by the Ministry of Health and in 2022 it will only begin to be implemented in Denpasar City. However, until now there has been no research describing the implementation of e-Cohort in Denpasar City. Aims: : This research is to describe the implementation of the E-Cohort Application in recording and reporting in the South Denpasar. Methods: The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This qualitative research was carried out using an in-depth interview method adapted to the 5M theoretical approach, namely Man, Money, Method, Material and Machine. There were 5 informants for this research. Data processing was carried out using thematic analysis techniques. Results: Description of the implementation of the KIA e-Cohort from human factors. All informants have participated and received orientation regarding the E-Cohort application. The money factor shows that there is an orientation budget and an implementation budget. The method factor shows that there is an standard operational procedure created by each health facility. The machine factor shows that there are still obstacles in signal and data input infrastructure. Material factors show that the flow of using the e-cohort application is still accompanied by manual cohort filling and the use of this application is not yet used by all health workers in Denpasar so that the results of recording and reporting can be used optimally.. Conclusion: The implementation of the e-cohort application is already but there are still several obstacles. It is hoped that the development of this application can adapt to the situation and needs of users and that there will be training in using the E-Cohort application

Abstract

AbstractTuberculosis (TB) is the top 10 causes of death in the world and the success rate of TB treatment has not yet reached the 85% success target. Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest TB burden. Denpasar City is one of the cities that contributes the most TB case data in Bali Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that could affect the success of treatment for TB patients in Denpasar City in 2021.This study uses secondary data from the Denpasar City Health Office in 2021 on Form TB.03. The success of treatment becomes the dependent variable and the independent variable is gender, age, ownership of health insurance (JKN), occupation, history of diabetes mellitus, and history of previous treatment. The analysis used multiple logistic regression. The results showed that there were 826 patients with pulmonary TB patients whose treatment history was recorded in Denpasar City and as many as 697 (84%) treatment was successful. The factors found to have a significant influence on the success of treatment of TB patients in Denpasar City were JKN ownership and patient age. The older the patient, the less aware of the importance of health that affects the success of TB treatment. JKN ownership shows a negative influence on the success of TB patient treatment in Denpasar City, this situation indicates the need for better coordination in the management of TB treatment flow in Denpasar City using JKN and management of recording and reporting later.Keyword: tuberculosis, JKN, success, treatment  AbstrakTuberkulosis (TB) merupakan 10 besar penyebab kematian teratas di dunia dan tingkat keberhasilan pengobatan TB belum mencapai target keberhasilan 85%.

Abstract

In Indonesia, soil-transmitted worm infestation remains a serious public health problem, especially for young children. The high incidence of worms increases the risk of stunting, anemia, and malnutrition in children. Prevention efforts are hampered by low public awareness and the belief that worms are not a serious disease. The objective of this community service project is to educate mothers of toddlers and Integrated Health Post cadres about worm prevention. Counselling and health education through booklets are among the techniques used at integrated health post Kemuning A, Ratu Jaya Community Health Center. Participants in this activity consisted of 17 mothers of toddlers and 9 cadres from the integrated health post. On December 17, 2025, the activity was carried out through counselling, discussions, and a question-and-answer session. The results of a qualitative evaluation showed that mothers' awareness of risk factors and how to prevent worms had increased, as had the cadres' knowledge, awareness, and confidence in educating the community. It was concluded that by using Integrated health post-based education strategies, this program succeeded in empowering the community to prevent worms in toddlers.

Abstract

General Background: Tuberculosis remains a major public health challenge in Indonesia, with DKI Jakarta designated as a priority province for tuberculosis control. Specific Background: Despite high treatment coverage, the treatment success rate in Jakarta declined from 81% in 2023 to 63.7% in 2025, far below the national target of 90%, indicating persistent problems in treatment adherence and continuity of care. Knowledge Gap: Although recurrent tuberculosis treatment visits are recognized as indicators of treatment failure and potential progression to drug-resistant tuberculosis, evidence regarding the dominant sociodemographic determinants of these visits in Jakarta remains limited. Aims: This study aims to analyze the association between sociodemographic factors—age, sex, and marital status—and recurrent tuberculosis treatment visits in DKI Jakarta. Results: A quantitative cross-sectional study using secondary BPJS Health data involving 46,064 tuberculosis patients was analyzed using logistic regression. The results show that marital status is the dominant factor associated with recurrent visits (p=0.000; OR=5.320). Age is also significantly associated, where individuals under 60 years have lower risk compared with those above 60 years, while sex shows no significant relationship (p=0.510). Novelty: This study identifies marital status as the main sociodemographic determinant of recurrent tuberculosis treatment visits using large-scale national health insurance data. Implications: The findings indicate that tuberculosis control strategies in DKI Jakarta should integrate family-based approaches by involving spouses as treatment supporters and utilizing educational tools such as the LEKAT leaflet to strengthen adherence monitoring and reduce recurrent treatment visits. Highlights • Marital status emerges as the strongest predictor of repeated tuberculosis treatment attendance.• Individuals aged under sixty years demonstrate lower probability of repeated therapy visits compared with elderly patients.• BPJS Health data analysis reveals demographic determinants supporting family-oriented tuberculosis control strategies.
