Abstract

Hadith constitutes a foundational source in Islamic intellectual tradition, shaping both legal reasoning and theological articulation alongside the Qur’an. Ongoing debates concerning authenticity, interpretation, and contemporary relevance highlight the need for a comprehensive re-examination of its role within evolving socio-legal contexts. This study aims to analyze how Hadith functions as a normative and interpretive framework in the formation of Islamic legal and theological systems. A qualitative interpretive design was employed, integrating isn?d analysis, thematic textual examination, and comparative study of major legal and theological schools, supported by contemporary scholarly discourse. Results indicate that Hadith operates as a multidimensional source that informs detailed legal rulings and doctrinal positions, with methodological diversity across schools enabling both continuity and adaptability. Findings further reveal that context-sensitive interpretations enhance the applicability of Hadith in addressing modern issues, while text-oriented approaches provide structural stability. This study concludes that Hadith remains a dynamic and authoritative source, bridging revelation and interpretation, and offering a flexible yet coherent framework for the development of Islamic legal and theological thought in both classical and contemporary contexts.

Abstract

Background. The effectiveness of oral corrective feedback (OCF) in language learning is influenced by learners’ comprehension and response to various OCF techniques. Therefore, it is essential for teachers to consider learners’ preferences for OCF strategies. Purpose. This quantitative study aimed to investigate the preferences of Thai as a foreign language (TFL) learner for ten commonly discussed types of OCF. Specifically, it examined whether these preferences are influenced by four learner variables: proficiency level, first language (L1), foreign language classroom anxiety (FLCA), and foreign language enjoyment (FLE). Method. The study involved 288 university students from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean TFL settings, and the data from questionnaires were analysed using appropriate statistical methods. Results. The findings indicate that, regardless of proficiency level, L1, FLCA, or FLE level, learners prefer more explicit OCF techniques, such as metalinguistics feedback and explicit correction. However, Korean undergraduates scored lower in the majority of OCF strategies (i.e., ignoring, elicitation, recast, explanation, and public feedback) compared to the other participants. Conclusion. This study has significant implications for instructional practices in TFL settings and for L2 lecturers in the classroom. By understanding learners’ preferences for OCF, educators can tailor their instructional approaches to meet the specific needs of their students.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of autonomous vehicle technology necessitates robust communication systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and connectivity. The emergence of 5G technology presents opportunities to enhance communication capabilities for autonomous vehicles, enabling real-time data exchange and improved decision-making. This research aims to develop an integrated communication system for autonomous vehicles utilizing 5G technology. The study focuses on evaluating the performance, reliability, and latency of the proposed system in various driving scenarios. An experimental approach was employed, involving the design and implementation of a 5G-based communication framework for autonomous vehicles. Various tests were conducted in controlled environments to assess communication latency, data throughput, and system reliability. Different vehicular scenarios, including urban and highway driving, were simulated to evaluate performance under diverse conditions. The findings indicated that the integrated 5G communication system achieved a latency of less than 10 milliseconds, significantly enhancing real-time data transmission. Data throughput exceeded 1 Gbps, demonstrating the capability to support high-bandwidth applications. The system exhibited robust performance across various driving scenarios, with minimal data loss and high reliability. The research demonstrates the potential of 5G technology in transforming communication systems

Abstract

This study investigates the potential of a hybrid solar-biomass system to provide reliable and sustainable electricity to off-grid rural communities. The research background highlights the critical energy poverty prevalent in many rural areas, which lacks access to a stable power grid. While solar energy is a promising solution, its intermittent nature often limits its reliability. The primary objective is to conduct a comprehensive techno-economic and environmental assessment of a hybrid solar-biomass system. The study aims to design an optimized system configuration that can meet the energy demand of a typical rural village while minimizing the levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and reducing the system’s overall carbon footprint. The research seeks to demonstrate a viable and sustainable alternative to conventional fossil fuel-based generation. The research methodology involves creating a detailed energy model of a hybrid system using specialized software. The model integrates solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, a biomass gasifier, and a battery storage system.. The research findings demonstrate that the hybrid system is a technically and economically feasible solution for rural electrification. The optimized configuration achieved a low LCOE of $0.25/kWh, which is competitive with diesel-based generators. The environmental assessment projected a 75% reduction in GHG emissions. The conclusion is that hybrid solar-biomass systems provide a highly effective, cost-efficient, and environmentally sound approach to off-grid rural electrification. to both economic development and climate change mitigation goals.

Abstract

Developing a strong understanding of scientific concepts is critical for elementary school students as it forms the foundation for advanced learning and problem-solving skills. However, traditional teaching methods often fail to engage students effectively, leading to superficial understanding and low retention of science concepts. The use of teaching aids has been identified as a potential strategy to address this issue by making abstract concepts more tangible and interactive. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the use of teaching aids and the understanding of science concepts among elementary school students. A correlational research design was employed, involving 120 fifth-grade students from multiple schools. Data were collected using a science concept understanding test and an observation checklist to measure the extent and effectiveness of teaching aid usage. The results revealed a significant positive correlation between the use of teaching aids and students’ understanding of science concepts. Students exposed to teaching aids demonstrated higher levels of engagement, comprehension, and retention compared to those who received traditional instruction. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating teaching aids into science lessons to enhance learning outcomes. The study concludes by recommending the widespread use of teaching aids to support effective science education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Stress is a prevalent issue impacting individuals’ mental health and well-being, requiring effective interventions to enhance resilience. This study investigates the development of resilience through counseling programs, focusing on improving stress coping skills. The research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of structured counseling interventions in enhancing individuals’ ability to manage stress and build resilience. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-test measures. The participants consisted of 120 individuals experiencing moderate to high stress levels, divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group participated in an 8-week counseling program that integrated cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, mindfulness practices, and stress management strategies. Data were collected using standardized resilience and stress-coping questionnaires, and the results were analyzed using paired t-tests and ANCOVA. The findings revealed significant improvements in the resilience and stress-coping abilities of participants in the intervention group compared to the control group (p < 0.01). Participants reported enhanced emotional regulation, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to stressors. The study concludes that counseling programs focusing on stress-coping skills are effective in fostering resilience. These findings highlight the importance of integrating such programs into mental health interventions to promote well-being and adaptability in diverse populations.

Abstract

Test anxiety is a significant barrier to academic success, particularly among high-achieving adolescents who face high academic pressures. The impact of test anxiety on students’ performance and psychological well-being necessitates effective interventions. Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC), a short-term, goal-oriented approach, has shown promise in addressing various psychological concerns, yet its specific efficacy in alleviating test anxiety among high-achieving adolescents remains under-explored. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of SFBC in reducing test anxiety and enhancing academic resilience in this population. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with 60 high-achieving adolescents randomly assigned to either an experimental group (SFBC intervention) or a control group. Pretest and posttest measures were taken using the Test Anxiety Inventory (TAI) and the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS). The experimental group received five SFBC sessions, while the control group received no intervention. Results indicated that the SFBC intervention significantly reduced test anxiety and enhanced academic resilience among the experimental group. The mean TAI score decreased significantly, and the ARS score increased, indicating improved coping strategies and greater academic perseverance.

Abstract

The ubiquitous presence of social media platforms has created an environment where individuals are constantly exposed to curated, idealized self-presentations. This environment is thought to intensify the natural human tendency for social comparison, which has significant implications for psychological well-being, particularly self-esteem. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the intensity of social media use, the tendency for social comparison, and levels of self-esteem among young adults. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with a sample of 350 university students (aged 18-24). Participants completed validated instruments, including the Social Media Intensity Scale, the Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM), and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Correlation and mediation analyses were performed to test the hypothesized relationships. A significant positive correlation was found between the intensity of social media use and social comparison orientation (r = .45, p < .001). In turn, social comparison orientation was significantly negatively correlated with self-esteem (r = -.52, p < .001). Mediation analysis confirmed that social comparison significantly mediated the relationship between social media intensity and lower self-esteem. Intensive engagement with social media is strongly associated with a greater tendency for social comparison, which in turn predicts lower self-esteem. These findings highlight social comparison as a key psychological mechanism through which social media use may negatively impact mental health.

Abstract

The rapid growth of flexible and wearable electronics has driven significant research into the development of high-performance organic semiconductors. These materials offer unique advantages, such as mechanical flexibility, solution processability, and tunable electronic properties, making them attractive alternatives to traditional inorganic semiconductors for next-generation flexible devices. Understanding the recent advancements in organic semiconductor design and fabrication is crucial for realizing the full potential of flexible electronics. This review article aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest progress in the development of high-performance organic semiconductors for flexible electronics applications. The study investigates the design principles, synthesis techniques, and device integration strategies that have enabled the realization of flexible and conformable organic electronic systems with enhanced performance and reliability. The research methodology involves an extensive literature review of peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, and patent documents published within the last five years. The analysis focuses on the most promising organic semiconductor materials, their structural and electronic properties, and their implementation in diverse flexible electronic devices, such as displays, sensors, and energy storage systems. The review highlights the successful development of novel organic semiconductor architectures, including small molecules, conjugated polymers, and hybrid organic-inorganic materials, which have demonstrated superior charge transport, optical, and mechanical properties. Significant advancements in synthetic strategies, molecular engineering, and thin-film deposition techniques have enabled the fabrication of high-mobility, stable, and solution-processable organic semiconductors. The study concludes that the continued progress in organic semiconductor research holds great promise for realizing the full potential of flexible electronics. The insights gained from this review can guide future research directions and facilitate the translation of organic semiconductor innovations into practical, large-area flexible and wearable devices.

Abstract

Background. The accelerating climate crisis has prompted renewed global interest in ethical frameworks capable of guiding sustainable human–environment relations. In Islamic thought, the Qur’anic concept of khal?fah f?l-ar? (vicegerency on Earth) has traditionally been interpreted as a moral mandate for stewardship, accountability, and balanced interaction with the natural world. Purpose. This study aims to reexamine khal?fah f?l-ar? through an interdisciplinary lens that integrates Qur’anic exegesis, environmental philosophy, and climate ethics. Method. A qualitative research design is employed using textual hermeneutics, thematic content analysis of classical and modern tafsir, and comparative ethical analysis with environmental stewardship models. Results. The findings demonstrate that khal?fah f?l-ar? embodies a tripartite ethical structure: spiritual responsibility to God, moral responsibility to creation, and intergenerational responsibility for ecological continuity. These dimensions provide a normative foundation that contrasts sharply with anthropocentric paradigms driving ecological degradation. The research further shows that classical Islamic sources contain implicit ecological principles—such as moderation (wasatiyyah), balance (m?z?n), prohibition of harm (l? ?arar), and communal trust (am?nah)—which can form an integrated ethical framework for climate action. Conclusion. The study concludes that reinterpretation of khal?fah f?l-ar? offers a theologically grounded, ethically robust, and culturally resonant model for addressing climate crisis in Muslim-majority societies and globally. This work highlights the potential of Islamic environmental ethics to contribute meaningfully to sustainable policy, ecological education, and faith-informed climate activism.
