Abstract

Changes in economic dynamics and increasing social exposure in the digital era influence how students perceive their financial conditions and may lead to the phenomenon of money dysmorphia, a distortion in evaluating financial reality. This study aims to analyze the relationship between money dysmorphia and subjective financial well-being among students of the Islamic Education Program at UIN Palangka Raya. This research employed a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 22 students, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and correlation analysis. The qualitative stage was conducted to explore students’ experiences and provide deeper explanations of the quantitative findings. The results show that the average score of money dysmorphia reached 41.76%, which falls into the low category based on the percentage of the maximum questionnaire score. A similar average score (41.76%) was found for subjective financial well-being, also categorized as low. The findings indicate a negative relationship between money dysmorphia and subjective financial well-being, where higher distortion in financial perception is associated with lower perceived financial well-being. These results suggest that students’ financial well-being is influenced not only by objective economic conditions but also by psychological factors such as financial perception and social comparison.

Abstract

Character education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level is a crucial formative phase, yet it is often confined to controlled classroom environments. This creates a sociological gap regarding how public open spaces can serve as catalysts for character building amidst the challenges of urban modernity in Palangka Raya. This study aims to analyze the utilization of the schoolyard at MIS Al-Hunafa Palangka Raya as a prophetic pedagogical instrument in shaping students' religious awareness. The primary focus is to describe the decentralization of religious activities through the "Gema Qur’ani" program in open spaces. Using a qualitative intrinsic case study method, data were gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and upper-level students, and visual documentation. Data analysis was conducted inductively through reduction, display, and verification to validate value transformation. The results indicate that routine collective murajaah every morning in the schoolyard effectively trains students' self-regulation and focus despite a dynamic environment. The presence of teachers as interactive tajwid facilitators strengthens the internalization of values, ensuring the activity is not merely mechanistic. This study concludes that the synergy between the physical environment and pedagogical guidance successfully transforms oral routines into real-life principles, manifested in increased worship discipline, honesty, and noble character in students' daily lives. ABSTRAK Pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah merupakan fase krusial yang menentukan struktur kognitif dan afektif siswa, namun sering kali hanya difokuskan pada ruang kelas yang terkendali. Hal ini memicu kekosongan sosiologis mengenai bagaimana ruang terbuka publik dapat berfungsi sebagai katalisator karakter di tengah tantangan modernitas kota Palangka Raya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan halaman sekolah di MIS Al-Hunafa Palangka Raya sebagai instrumen pedagogi profetik dalam membentuk kesadaran religius siswa. Fokus utama penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan strategi desentralisasi kegiatan keagamaan melalui program "Gema Qur’ani" di ruang terbuka. Menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus intrinsik, data dihimpun melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa kelas atas, serta dokumentasi visual. Analisis data dilakukan secara induktif melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi untuk memvalidasi transformasi nilai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rutinitas murajaah kolektif setiap pagi di halaman sekolah efektif melatih regulasi diri dan fokus siswa meski dalam lingkungan yang dinamis. Kehadiran guru sebagai fasilitator tajwid interaktif memperkuat internalisasi nilai sehingga kegiatan tidak bersifat mekanistik. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa sinergi lingkungan fisik dan bimbingan pedagogis berhasil mentransformasi rutinitas lisan menjadi prinsip hidup nyata yang bermanifestasi pada peningkatan disiplin ibadah, kejujuran, serta akhlakul karimah siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
