Abstract

The halal lifestyle is a trend that is currently developing in Indonesia, but due to Muslims' not having enough awareness concerning the application of Islamic syariat to their daily lives, there are still Muslim communities that do not practice a halal lifestyle. As therefore, a halal lifestyle campaign is still necessary. Halal Corner is a group that promotes a halal way of life by using Instagram social media and sharing educational materials about it. This study tries to describe how Halal Corner content is evaluated from a fine arts perspective. In this study, a descriptive-qualitative methodology is used to give a visual analysis of the content of Halal Corner using an aesthetics-based perspective. Data collection is done through observation of uploaded published content by Halal Corner. The result of this study is an appreciative explanation and evaluation to the visual contents of Instagram Halal Corner trough the lens of creativity and utility.

Abstract

Every human being has the same right to education, including children with intellectual disabilities. The abilities of these children can be explored and optimized through simple academic learning, such as reading, writing, and arithmetic. Therefore, children with intellectual disabilities should be provided with stimulation that can aid in their development and productivity, such as interactive books. Previous research has shown that interactive books are effective for typically developing children, and it is hoped that this learning medium can also be applied to children with intellectual disabilities. The research method used in this study is the design thinking method, with a particular focus on the empathize stage. Through a combination of observation, in-depth interviews, and questionnaires, this research aims to provide comprehensive insights into the learning needs of children with intellectual disabilities at SLB C Terate Bandung. The results of this study are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of more effective and suitable teaching methods and media for students with special needs. The findings indicate that interactive books are highly effective for the education of children with intellectual disabilities, with some adjustments needed in design and approach to meet their sensory and cognitive needs.

Abstract

Kampung Arab Panjunan merupakan kawasan di Kota Cirebon dengan mayoritas penduduk etnis Arab yang berasal dari Baghdad, Irak. Kawasan ini memiliki beberapa ciri khas salah satunya tradisi kerajinan gerabah dan pernah menjadi sentra gerabah terbesar di Cirebon. Namun, saat ini tradisi tersebut sudah tidak dapat ditemukan. Ciri khas lainnya yaitu, Masjid Merah Panjunan, makanan dan musik khas Timur Tengah. Namun, tradisi tersebut telah mengalami akulturasi. Pemerintah Daerah Kota Cirebon bersama Direktorat Jenderal Cipta Karya Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat memiliki rencana strategis mengembangkan Kampung Wisata Arab Panjunan, salah satunya merancang identitas visual dengan mengangkat ciri khas kawasan. Ciri khas tradisi kawasan yang hilang dan akulturasi yang terjadi menjadi permasalahan dalam merancang identitas visual. Destination branding merupakan strategi yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kawasan berdasarkan potensi yang dimilikinya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menentukan konsep perancangan identitas visual kawasan dengan mengangkat ciri khas kawasan menggunakan destination branding dengan batasan pada tahap Market Investigation, Analysis and Strategic Recommendations. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan metode Limas Pemandu Inovasi, Matriks Perbandingan Perwujudan Budaya, Analisis PEST dan SWOT. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu rekomendasi bagi pemerintah berupa panduan dasar konsep perancangan identitas visual Kampung Wisata Arab Panjunan dengan mengangkat tradisi kerajinan gerabah, Masjid Merah Panjunan, makanan dan musik khas Timur Tengah ke dalam bentuk values, strategi pengembangan dan jenis identitas visual kawasan yang layak untuk diimplementasikan.
