Abstract

This study aims to analyze the technical efficiency and scale efficiency of regional economic performance across regencies/cities in South Sumatra Province during 2024-2025 using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. This study applies a quantitative approach, with 17 regencies/cities treated as Decision Making Units (DMUs). The input variables include household consumption, government expenditure, investment, and net exports, while the output variable is Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). The findings show that, under the CRS model, the number of efficient regions increased from five in 2024 to six in 2025. Meanwhile, the VRS results indicate that several regions were purely technically efficient but had not yet achieved scale efficiency. Muara Enim, Musi Banyuasin, PALI, Palembang, and Pagar Alam were consistently efficient. DEA projections also reveal that several regions still have potential to improve GRDP, particularly Empat Lawang, Prabumulih, Ogan Komering Ulu, Musi Rawas Utara, and OKU Timur. These findings indicate that regional economic development policies should be directed toward optimizing economic inputs, adjusting the scale of operation, and using benchmarks as a basis for evidence-based policymaking.

Abstract

The novelty of this study lies in its methodological contribution through the application of MICMAC (Matrix of Cross-Impact Multiplication Applied to Classification) structural analysis in the context of sustainable halal tourism village development in Indonesia, an approach that remains rarely explored in previous halal tourism and rural development studies. Unlike conventional approaches such as descriptive analysis or SWOT analysis, this study employs MICMAC to systematically map the direct and indirect influence-dependence relationships among strategic variables within a complex rural tourism system. This study contributes by developing an integrated structural framework that simultaneously incorporates rural economic development, halal tourism principles, institutional governance, community participation, digitalization, environmental sustainability, and local cultural preservation. Through MICMAC analysis, the study is able to identify key driving variables, relay variables, dependent variables, and autonomous variables, thereby providing a more comprehensive understanding of the causal structure underlying sustainable halal tourism village development. Methodologically, this study demonstrates that MICMAC analysis can serve as an effective strategic policy tool for identifying priority intervention areas in complex village-based tourism systems. The findings provide a more systematic and evidence-based foundation for policymakers in designing phased and sustainable halal tourism village development strategies in Indonesia.

Abstract

As a vital component of the urban ecosystem, green open spaces (GOS) play crucial ecological, social, and aesthetic roles in maintaining the balance of the city environment. The importance of GOS is also mandated by local regulations concerning the spatial planning of Palembang City, which affirm the government’s commitment to sustainable urban management. In formulating policy foundations related to GOS, regional governments often face strategic challenges in determining where to begin, which actions are most effective, and in what direction the policies should be directed. This study aims to identify and analyze the structural interrelationships among key factors influencing the sustainability of urban green open spaces in Palembang City, in order to provide a comprehensive analysis of the systemic dynamics underlying the effectiveness of GOS management policies. This research employs a structural analysis approach using the MICMAC (Matrix of Cross Impact Multiplication Applied to Classification) method to examine the causal relationships and the patterns of influence and dependence among 20 variables categorized into four dimensions of sustainability: (1) governance and policy, (2) physical and environmental aspects, (3) social aspects and community participation, and (4) economic and financial aspects. The results show that seven variables: urbanization and population density, spatial law enforcement, urban land value, government budget allocation, land-use change, land availability, and inter-agency coordination, constitute the primary driving factors with the highest direct influence on the system. These variables exert strong structural power and therefore form the strategic foundation for strengthening GOS governance and ensuring long-term spatial sustainability. In terms of priority ranking, urbanization and population density emerged as the most dominant factor influencing GOS sustainability. Projection of future priorities indicates rising influence for land availability, spatial law enforcement, GOS accessibility, green investment, and community-level green space provision, reflecting a growing need to safeguard spatial integrity, strengthen legal compliance, and enhance public access to green infrastructure. The identification of these key factors can serve as a valuable reference for stakeholders in making informed decisions and developing integrated strategies for sustainable urban green space management.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the digital capacity and marketing capabilities of members of the Joint Business Group (KUBE) Pedado through a marketing technology (martech) approach. The program was implemented from June to December 2025 and involved 20 participants through training sessions, workshops, simulations, and intensive mentoring. The materials covered digital content creation, social media optimization, the utilization of WhatsApp Business, and performance analysis using Meta Business Suite. Evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests, complemented by observations of participants’ digital activities. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ competencies. The average score increased from 52.6 to 82.6, representing a 57.03% improvement. Specifically, digital literacy increased by 45.45%, content creation skills by 64.00%, social media management by 63.46%, use of WhatsApp Business by 51.72%, and understanding of digital analytics by 62.50%. In addition, there was an increase in digital engagement, reflected in higher interaction rates and market reach. The program also strengthened business branding and fostered a shift in entrepreneurial mindset toward a growth mindset. Therefore, the martech approach has proven effective in improving the digital capacity and marketing performance of community-based MSMEs and demonstrates strong potential for sustainable replication.

Abstract

The cement industry is one of the strategic sectors that supports infrastructure development and national economic growth. Increasing competition and persistent oversupply issues require cement companies to maintain efficiency and performance in order to remain competitive in the market. This study employs the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach using the CCR (Constant Return to Scale) model to measure the relative efficiency levels of cement companies in Indonesia. Secondary data were obtained from financial reports, with input variables consisting of total assets, operating expenses, and the number of employees, while the output variable used was net income. The analysis results indicate variations in efficiency levels across companies. Some firms achieved an efficiency score of 1.000 (efficient), while others remained below the optimal efficiency standard. These findings highlight differences in resource utilization and operational performance among firms. This study also provides recommendations and improvement strategies to help companies achieve more efficient and optimal performance.
