Abstract

Visually impaired students in Banyumas face significant challenges in accessing inclusive education due to the scarcity of adaptive learning media. Most students rely heavily on conventional Braille and constant teacher assistance, which hinders their independent learning capabilities. This community service aims to empower teachers and students at SLB Kuncup Mas Banyumas through the socialization and training of BraillTek, a bilingual RFID-based assistive device designed to support independent literacy. The method employed was a participatory approach involving 30 participants, consisting of teachers and students. The activities were conducted on December 9, 2025, encompassing socialization of disability rights, direct demonstration of the device, and hands-on training where students practiced using BraillTek while teachers were introduced to AI-based educational tools. The results indicated high program effectiveness, with evaluation data showing that 100% of participants agreed the material was highly relevant to their needs. Students demonstrated the ability to operate the device independently after a single session, effectively learning vocabulary without constant supervision. The program successfully introduced a viable solution for inclusive education, significantly reducing student dependence on teachers and improving teacher competency in utilizing assistive technology.

Abstract

Abstract. Manual extraction of forest honey at KTH Rimba Langgeng, Glempang Village, produces cloudy, unhygienic honey with low yields. This community service program aims to modernize the extraction process to improve honey quality and productivity. The implementation method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR) through socialization, training, technology application, and mentoring. The implemented solution is a Honey Press Machine made of Food Grade Stainless Steel 304, integrated with a double mesh filter and a screw-press mechanism. The results show significant improvements; the honey becomes much clearer, cleaner, and more hygienic due to mechanical filtering without direct hand contact. Extraction efficiency increased from 30% to 52%, leading to a 73.3% increase in the group’s monthly turnover. This community service contributes to the development of applied science, particularly in post-harvest technology engineering based on mechanical systems to optimize non-timber forest products and ensure food safety standards.

Abstract

Posyandu (Community-Based Integrated Health Service Post) has played a pivotal role in reducing morbidity and mortality rates among infant and toddler in Indonesia over several decades. In alignment with this role, posyandu has been integrated as a community health service for all age groups, from infants to elderly, over the past years. However, despite its critical importance, posyandu operations have not kept pace with modernization; most recording, reporting, and archiving activities are still conducted manually. This conventional approach is prone to errors, loss of records, and limited data accessibility. Implementing online-based services, such as those offered by Google, presents a viable solution for digital transformation at every stage of posyandu operations. This program aims to enhance the digital literacy of posyandu cadres to improve the efficiency of health data recording in Ledug, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency. By doing so, it seeks to create a more reliable system capable of minimizing errors, preventing data loss, and ensuring flexible access. The program was structured into three phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Thirteen cadres participated in the activities conducted between April and May 2025. Evaluation results indicated improvements in both digital understanding and the implementation of digital tools within posyandu operations, with increases of 14.3% and 4.3%, respectively. Participants also rated the program's effectiveness at 3.24 out of 4, reflecting a high level of satisfaction. These indicators suggest that the training effectively enhanced the digital literacy of the cadres, with the expectation that this knowledge will be applied in the services provided at Posyandu Margosari.
