Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions of the use of the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in English vocabulary learning. The study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive survey design. The participants consisted of 30 eleventh-grade students of SMK Unggulan NU Mojoagung, Jombang, selected through cluster sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean scores and percentage distribution. The results showed that the overall mean score was 3.65, categorized as high, indicating that students have positive perceptions of the use of digital games in vocabulary learning. Most responses were dominated by the Agree and Strongly Agree categories, suggesting that students perceive the game as providing contextual language exposure and supporting incidental learning. Students also demonstrated the ability to understand, remember, and apply vocabulary encountered in the game. However, not all students fully agreed that games could function as formal learning media, indicating the influence of individual factors such as learning styles, motivation, and perceptions. In conclusion, digital games have strong potential as alternative media for English vocabulary learning, but their use should be integrated with structured instructional strategies to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

The training on utilizing home gardens as a source of family food based on organic fertilizer was conducted in August 2025 in Tawangsari Village, Trowulan District, Mojokerto Regency. The program aimed to improve the skills of PKK women’s group members in optimizing home gardens to support household food security, while also introducing the practice of producing organic fertilizer from household waste. A participatory approach was applied through lectures, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and group discussions. The results showed that more than 80% of participants were able to practice organic fertilizer production and develop plans for utilizing their home gardens. Feedback obtained from questionnaires indicated that participants’ understanding of productive home gardens, organic fertilizer techniques, vegetable cultivation, nutritional benefits, and environmental impacts was generally in the good category (≥74%). These findings highlight that the training effectively enhanced participants’ knowledge, skills, and environmental awareness. Furthermore, the program strengthened women’s roles in supporting household food security and promoted the application of sustainable agriculture at the household level. Program sustainability is strongly recommended through continuous assistance from agricultural extension workers and village governments to ensure long-term benefits.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang to English vocabulary acquisition among EFL learners through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Referring to the PRISMA guidelines, this study selected nine empirical articles published between 2020 and 2025 and focused on the use of Mobile Legends or similar online games as a medium for vocabulary learning. The results of the review show that most studies found a positive increase in students' vocabulary mastery through repeated exposure to English terms, instructions, and expressions in the game. Multimodal features such as visual text, character narration, and voice commands were found to aid vocabulary comprehension and retention. However, the vocabulary acquired tended to be specific to the game context and did not always transfer to broader language competence without pedagogical support. In addition, student motivation and engagement levels increased significantly when using games as a learning medium, although increased motivation did not always correlate directly with vocabulary achievement. The results of this study confirm that Mobile Legends can be an effective additional tool to support incidental vocabulary learning, provided that pedagogical integration and teacher guidance are still necessary to maximize learning outcomes.
