This paper documents the implementation of the STAD cooperative learning model assisted by pop-up book media to improve the descriptive writing skills of students in class VC UPT SDN 064025 Medan. This study is a classroom action research, which describes the process and results of actions taken in a classroom to improve results and quality of the learning process. The research subjects were students in class VC at UPT SDN Medan in the academic year 2024/2025. There were 25 students in class VC, consisting of 13 female and 12 male students. The research results indicate that implementing the STAD Cooperative Learning Model assisted by Pop-Up Books can improve descriptive writing skills, as evidenced by an increase in the learning completion rate from 64% in cycle I to 84% in cycle II. This shows that the STAD Cooperative Learning Model assisted by Pop-Up Books is suitable for improving elementary school students' descriptive writing skills.

Abstract

This paper determines the effect of giving rewards on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 097388 Partuhan Simalungun in the academic year 2021/2022. The research population was 62 students of 5a and 5b classes at SD Negeri 097388 Partuhan. The research method used an experimental method with a quantitative research type. The instruments used to collect data were in the form of multiple-choice questions and questionnaires. The research results indicate that student learning outcomes using the reward method are in the very good category with an average of 83.2. The researcher used the normality test with the results of Lcount 0.200 > Ltable 0.05. Based on these calculations, it can be seen that the significant value is normally distributed. In the correlation test, the coefficient value is 0.710, which means that rcount > rtable 0.250. Therefore, the method of giving rewards to the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary students at 097388 Partuhan is influential. The results of the t-test are 7.803 > 1.679 so it is accepted. It indicates that there is a significant positive effect of giving rewards on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 097388 Partuhan in the academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

This article reports the improvement of students’ learning outcomes to find out how the learning process was implemented by applying the Articulation learning model on the theme of heat and its transferring at grade 5 of elementary school 060935 Medan Johor in the academic year 2021/2022. The subjects involved 26 students, which consisted of 12 male and 14 female students. The results of the research showed that there was an improvement of students’ learning outcomes on the theme of Heat and Its Transferring at class 5 of elementary school 060935 Medan Johor. It could be seen from the results of research conducted on the pretest that five students who achieved a complete score are 19.23%. Whilst 21 students who achieved incomplete score are 80.77% with an average learning outcome of 52.39. In cycle 1, the post-test increased in which 11 students who have complete score are 42.30%, while 15 students who were incomplete score were 57.70% with an average learning outcome of 68.26. In cycle II, the post-test increased in which 21 students who gained complete score are 80.77%, while five students who achieved incomplete score are 19.23% with an average learning outcome of 84.61. Thus, the conclusion describes that by using the Articulation learning model there is an improvement of students’ learning outcomes on the theme of Heat and Its Transferring at Grade IV of elementary school 060935 Medan Johor in the academic year 2020/2021.
