Abstract

In an increasingly competitive business environment, organizations are required to implement strategies that not only enhance organizational performance but also promote long-term sustainability and customer retention. This study aims to examine the impact of Sustainable Marketing Strategies and Career Development Opportunities on Employee Productivity and Customer Loyalty in Jakarta. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method involving 200 respondents working in various organizations across Jakarta. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measured using a five-point Likert scale. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The results indicate that Sustainable Marketing Strategies have a positive and significant effect on Employee Productivity (β = 0.382, p < 0.001) and Customer Loyalty (β = 0.291, p < 0.001). Career Development Opportunities also significantly influence Employee Productivity (β = 0.467, p < 0.001) and Customer Loyalty (β = 0.177, p = 0.010). Furthermore, Employee Productivity exerts the strongest direct effect on Customer Loyalty (β = 0.431, p < 0.001). The structural model explains 65.3% of the variance in Employee Productivity and 71.2% of the variance in Customer Loyalty, indicating substantial predictive capability. The findings suggest that organizations should integrate sustainability-oriented marketing initiatives with employee development programs to enhance workforce productivity and strengthen long-term customer loyalty. This study contributes to the literature by providing an integrated framework that combines external sustainability strategies and internal human resource development practices within a single model.

Abstract

Abstract

Blurring boundaries between work and personal life have become a defining feature of contemporary work systems, intensifying through digital connectivity, flexible working arrangements, and the expansion of remote and hybrid work structures. This review synthesizes theoretical perspectives and empirical evidence to examine how blurring boundaries conceptualized as work-life integration shape employee productivity, life satisfaction, and organizational commitment. Drawing on boundary theory, role integration frameworks, and modern research on digital labor, the findings demonstrate that work-life integration can enhance productivity by increasing autonomy, flexibility, and reducing transition costs. However, boundary permeability may also induce technostress, work intrusion and role overload, undermining wellbeing and performance. Life satifaction improves when integration is voluntary and aligned with personal preferences but decreases when constant connectivity disrupts recovery time or intensifies conflict between roles. Organizational commitment strengthens when integration practices are perceived as supportive and empowering but weakens when blurring boundaries are associated with surveillance or exploitation. This review clarifies conceptual ambiguities, identifies moderating conditions underlying positive and negative effect, and provides directions for future research on adaptive boundary management in digital driven work environments.

Abstract

This study explores how digital media based storytelling can enhance the global visibility and cultural relevance of Museum Keris Nusantara Surakarta. As one of Indonesia’s most prominent heritage institutions dedicated to the art and philosophy of the keris, the museum holds extensive collections that reflect the artistic, historical, and symbolic values of Javanese weaponry and craftsmanship. However, in an increasingly digital society, traditional promotional methods are no longer sufficient to attract international audiences. This research investigates how the integration of digital storytelling, including social media narratives, virtual exhibitions, short-form videos, and interactive online content, can strengthen the museum’s branding and engagement beyond national boundaries. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study analyzes digital media strategies adopted by leading cultural institutions and evaluates their applicability to Museum Keris Surakarta. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observational assessments of existing digital content. The findings indicate that compelling storytelling embedded within digital formats such as narrative-driven visuals, behind-the-scenes forging processes, empu (master smith) personal stories, and thematic interpretations of keris symbolism significantly increases user engagement and cross-cultural appreciation. Moreover, platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are identified as highly effective for reaching younger global audiences, while web-based virtual tours offer immersive experiences for international visitors unable to visit physically. The study concludes that digital storytelling is not merely a promotional tool but a strategic instrument for cultural diplomacy. By presenting keris narratives in accessible and emotionally resonant formats, Museum Keris Nusantara Surakarta can cultivate greater global recognition, support heritage preservation, and strengthen its position within the international cultural landscape. The findings highlight the need for museums to adopt innovative digital practices to remain relevant and competitive in the era of global digital communication. Abstract

The garment manufacturing industry is characterized by intensive production targets and high work demands, which may adversely affect employee health and workplace behavior. Excessive job demands often increase performance pressure, leading to psychological strain, stress, and declining employee wellbeing. At the same time, organizations are challenged to maintain productivity without compromising employee health. This study aims to examine the effect of job demands on employee health, investigate the mediating role of performance pressure, and analyze the moderating role of human resource support in mitigating the negative consequences of demanding work environments. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative data will be collected through questionnaires distributed to employees in the garment manufacturing sector, while qualitative insights will be obtained through in-depth interviews. Data analysis will be conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and supported by qualitative thematic analysis. The findings are expected to provide empirical evidence regarding the mechanisms through which job demands influence employee health and to demonstrate the buffering role of human resource support in reducing adverse outcomes. This study contributes to the literature on employee wellbeing, job demands, and sustainable human resource management, while offering practical recommendations for organizations seeking to balance productivity goals with employee health and sustainable workplace practices. Unlike previous studies that primarily focused on productivity demand and employee performance, this study simultaneously investigates employees' mental health and workplace cheating behavior while incorporating HR Support as an organizational buffering mechanism.
