Abstract

Academic writing is a fundamental competency for university students as it serves as the main medium for logical, critical, and ethical communication of scientific ideas. However, many students still struggle with technical, structural, and motivational aspects of academic writing, indicating the need for innovative learning models that promote autonomy, collaboration, and reflection. Although project-based learning (PjBL) has been widely applied in language education, research on its effectiveness and implementation challenges in Indonesian academic writing remains limited. This study aims to analyze the application of PjBL in academic writing instruction and identify factors influencing its effectiveness. Using a narrative review guided by the population–exposure–outcome (PEO) framework, this study synthesizes ten empirical and theoretical articles published between 2020 and 2025 from Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar. The findings show that PjBL consistently enhances students’ academic writing skills through authentic, collaborative, and reflective learning that strengthens critical thinking, motivation, and digital literacy. However, challenges persist in pedagogical practices, psychological readiness, and institutional support. This study highlights the need for systematic instructional design, continuous scaffolding, and academic technology training for both lecturers and students to optimize PjBL implementation in Indonesian higher education.  Keywords: Project-Based Learning; Academic Writing; Higher Education

Abstract

Nonprofit organizations are required to maintain financial transparency and accountability in order to sustain public trust, particularly in managing donation funds. This study examines the implementation of Zahir Accounting in enhancing transparency and trustworthy financial management at the Indonesian Cancer Children’s Foundation (YKAKI) Bandung Branch. The objective of this research is to analyze the role of the application in improving reporting efficiency, orderly record-keeping, and accountability, especially among staff who do not entirely have accounting backgrounds. The study employs a qualitative field approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data validation conducted using triangulation. The findings indicate that Zahir Accounting improves documentation structure, reporting timeliness, and transaction traceability, thereby strengthening managerial oversight and accountability to donors. However, the effectiveness of the system remains dependent on user discipline and strengthened internal control. These findings affirm that accounting digitalization supports administrative transparency as well as the value of amanah in nonprofit financial governance

Abstract

This study addresses the growing need to integrate digital literacy within the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework in Indonesian language learning under the Merdeka Curriculum. The research aims to synthesize empirical evidence on the implementation of digital literacy, its impact on learning outcomes, and the challenges encountered in practice. A narrative review approach was employed by analyzing 11 empirical studies published between 2022 and 2025. The findings reveal three dominant integration patterns: authentic assessment, project-based learning (PBL), and competency-aligned curriculum tools. These approaches contribute to improved student engagement, higher-quality learning outputs, and the development of critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills. However, the effectiveness of integration is strongly influenced by teacher digital competence, alignment between learning outcomes and assessment practices, and the availability of digital infrastructure. Key challenges include limited teacher readiness, assessment misalignment, and unequal access to technology. This study concludes that successful integration requires coherent outcome-based instructional design supported by pedagogical capacity and institutional readiness, rather than mere technological adoption.
