Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the career decision-making of adolescents at Al-Inayah High School in Bandung based on gender differences. Research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The data measurement tool is a scale questionnaire developed by Vincent A. Haren, Ph.D based on indicators of Career Decision. The research participants were students of class X, XI and XII of the Aliyah Al-Inayah Bandung Madrasah School for Academic Year 2017/2018, which consisted of 104 participants consisting of 76 women and 28 men. Based on the results obtained, the average score of career decision making for male sex is higher than female sex. The average score of men is 2.96 while women score 2.92. There are significant differences in career decision making for male gender and female gender.

Abstract

Fenomena konselor dianggap sebagai polisi sekolah memunculkan image negatif terhadap profesi konselor. Salahsatu penyebab anggapan konselor sebagai polisi sekolah tidak terlepas dari kurangnya orientasi profesi konselor kepada masyarakat luas, khususnya di lingkungan sekolah. Hal inilah yang membuat penulis tertarik membahas tanggung jawab konselor dalam perspektif fenomenologis. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis konselor yang bertanggung jawab dalam perspektif fenomenologis. Menganalisisis tanggung jawab konselor dalam perspektif fenomenologis dengan metode berfikir kritis, dan melakukan kajian kepustakaan. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the value of time and patience in Surah Al-'Asr as the basis for developing teachers' pedagogic competencies in shaping the adaptability character of students in the digital era. In the context of modern education, rapid technological changes demand students to have high adaptability and flexibility. Therefore, the Islamic values contained in Surah Al-'Asr can be used as a guideline in shaping the character of resilient and resilient students. The research method used is a qualitative study with document analysis of various literature sources, including classical and contemporary interpretations as well as the latest research on character education and modern pedagogy. Data analysis techniques are carried out through identification, reduction, and interpretation of documents to find the relevance of time and patience values to teachers' pedagogic competence. The results showed that the value of appreciation for time helped students in developing discipline, planning, and efficiency in learning, while the value of patience formed mental and emotional resilience in facing academic and social challenges. Teachers with good pedagogic competence are able to integrate these two values in learning methods, such as through time management-based assignments and challenge-based learning that instills perseverance. The conclusion of this study confirms that the application of the value of time and patience in the educational process can increase students' discipline and creativity, forming a more adaptive and flexible character. The relevance of this research to education today is very significant, considering that the challenges of globalization and digitalization require students to have a strong character in facing the dynamics of change. The integration of Islamic values in modern pedagogy can be a solution in building a generation that is not only academically intelligent, but also has moral and spiritual resilience.

Abstract

Percaya diri merupakan aspek yang sangat penting bagi seseorang untuk dapat mengembangkan potensinya. Jika seseorang memiliki bekal percaya diri yang baik, maka individu tersebut akan dapat mengembangkan potensinya dengan mantap. Namun jika seseorang memiliki percaya diri rendah, maka individu tersebut cenderung menutup diri, mudah frustasi ketika menghadapi kesulitan, canggung dalam menghadapi orang, dan sulit menerima realita dirinya. Memiliki percaya diri yang tinggi dalam diri remaja dapat membantu mencapai prestasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan begitu akan terjadi proses perubahan dalam diri remaja bukan hanya pada pekerjaan tetapi juga pada perilaku dan sikap siswa, yaitu keberanian, keaktifan, dan aktualisasi diri remaja saat berproses. Penitilian ini menjaslkan rasa kurang percaya diri mempengaruhi remaja dalam menemukan eksistensi dirinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, intsrumen pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan observasi. Adapun hasil penelitian bahwa remaja memiliki kurang percaya diri disebabkan dua faktor yaitu: internal (konsep diri, harga diri, penampilan, pendidikan) sedangkan eksternal (pola asuh orangtua, rasa aman, lingkungan masyarakat terlalu pesimis terhadap remaja). Adapun penanganannya melalui peratama, berhenti membandingkan diri dengan orang lain. Kedua, berusaha untuk berpikir positif. Ketiga,teman-teman yang positif. Keempat, lakukan hal yang disukai. Kelima, menghargai diri.

Abstract

The increasing polarization of religious attitudes in contemporary society necessitates exploring historical and theological resources that promote moderation and balance. This article delves into Imam al-Ghazali's concept of religious counseling, aiming to understand its principles and methods that can cultivate moderate attitudes among individuals and communities. Employing a qualitative approach with a focus on literature review, this research analyzes Ghazali's seminal works, particularly Ihya' Ulum al-Din and Mizan al-'Amal, to uncover how his teachings contribute to fostering spiritual well-being, ethical behavior, and social harmony. Imam al-Ghazali's emphasis on moderation, ethical conduct, and integrating spiritual and social responsibilities significantly contribute to religious counseling in contemporary contexts. His advocacy for the middle path (wasatiyyah) offers a robust framework that addresses the pressing challenges of extremism and polarization. Ghazali's teachings encourage practitioners of religious counseling to promote balance and harmony within their communities by emphasizing ethical behavior rooted in Islamic virtues. Ghazali underscores the importance of maintaining mutual respect, tolerance, and constructive dialogue across diverse backgrounds by fostering an understanding of the interconnectedness between personal spirituality and communal welfare. This approach enriches individual spiritual well-being and enhances social cohesion by encouraging individuals to fulfill their religious obligations while actively engaging in societal improvement efforts. By mitigating the root causes of extremism through a holistic approach to counseling, Ghazali's teachings provide invaluable guidance for religious counselors seeking to effectively navigate and reduce contemporary social challenges. Polarisasi meningkatnya sikap-sikap keagamaan dalam masyarakat kontemporer menuntut eksplorasi sumber-sumber sejarah dan teologis yang mempromosikan moderasi dan keseimbangan. Artikel ini menggali konsep konseling keagamaan Imam Ghazali, bertujuan untuk memahami prinsip-prinsip dan metodenya yang dapat membudayakan sikap moderat di kalangan individu dan komunitas. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang berfokus pada tinjauan literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis karya-karya Ghazali yang mendasar, terutama Ihya' Ulum al-Din dan Mizan al-'Amal, untuk mengungkap bagaimana ajarannya berkontribusi dalam memajukan kesejahteraan spiritual, perilaku etis, dan harmoni sosial. Penekanan Imam Ghazali pada moderasi, perilaku etis, dan integrasi tanggung jawab spiritual dan sosial memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam konseling keagamaan pada konteks kontemporer. Perhatiannya terhadap wasatiyyah menawarkan kerangka kerja yang kokoh yang menangani tantangan-tantangan mendesak ekstremisme dan polarisasi. Ajaran Ghazali mendorong praktisi konseling keagamaan untuk mempromosikan keseimbangan dan harmoni dalam komunitas mereka dengan menekankan perilaku etis yang berakar pada kebajikan Islam. Dengan memupuk pemahaman tentang keterkaitan antara spiritualitas pribadi dan kesejahteraan komunal, Ghazali menegaskan pentingnya memelihara saling menghargai, toleransi, dan dialog konstruktif lintas latar belakang yang beragam. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya memperkaya kesejahteraan spiritual individu tetapi juga meningkatkan kohesi sosial dengan mendorong individu untuk memenuhi kewajiban keagamaan mereka sambil aktif terlibat dalam upaya perbaikan sosial. Dengan mengurangi akar penyebab ekstremisme melalui pendekatan holistik dalam konseling, ajaran Ghazali memberikan panduan berharga bagi konselor keagamaan yang ingin menavigasi dan mengatasi tantangan sosial kontemporer secara efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the practice of Islamic education management at the Dar Al-Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School from an epistemological perspective, with a focus on integrating Islamic values with modern management theory. The main problem studied is how management in Islamic Boarding Schools functions not only as an administrative instrument but also as a manifestation of the Islamic scientific paradigm based on monotheism. The research method uses a phenomenological qualitative approach, drawing on document studies, observations, and in-depth interviews with Islamic Boarding School managers. The results of the study show that the management practice at the Dar Al-Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School is grounded in Islamic epistemology, which emphasizes the balance between rational and spiritual aspects. The contribution of this research lies in strengthening the epistemological framework for the study of Islamic education management and in offering relevant management models for the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. Islamic boarding schools have the potential to develop a management system that balances worldly and ukhrawi goals, as well as to serve as centers for moral and spiritual strengthening.

Abstract

This study examines the rhetorical construction of religious moderation in the Log In program on Deddy Corbuzier’s YouTube channel. Amidst the polarization of digital religion, this research analyzes how Islamic values are framed to appeal to diverse audiences. Using a qualitative design that combines virtual ethnography and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), the researcher observed and transcribed 30 episodes of the program. The analysis applies Aristotelian rhetorical theory (ethos, pathos, and logos) to explore how credibility, emotional appeal, and logical argumentation are articulated through language style, humor, and narrative strategies. The findings reveal that Habib Husein integrates these rhetorical elements in a balanced manner, producing religious messages that are rational, engaging, and socially relevant. His rhetoric reflects an adaptive style that aligns with the interactive and monetized nature of YouTube. Beyond descriptive insights, this study contributes theoretically by demonstrating how Aristotelian rhetoric operates within the political economy of digital media, where religious messages function simultaneously as spiritual guidance and commodified content.

Abstract

Character building in elementary school students is a crucial issue in education, particularly amid the challenges of moral crises and social changes in the technological era. Educational philosophy is viewed as a fundamental foundation for designing values, goals, and educational practices oriented toward character development. This study aims to analyze the role of educational philosophy in shaping the character of elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This study employs the SLR method, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, through a systematic process of identification, selection, and synthesis of the literature. The literature search was conducted using databases such as Google Scholar, SINTA, and reputable international journals within the publication range of 2020–2025. Of the 72 identified articles, 18 met the inclusion criteria and were further analyzed using thematic analysis. The results indicate that educational philosophy, particularly the streams of idealism, pragmatism, and progressivism, plays a significant role in shaping students’ character values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and empathy. The integration of these three philosophical approaches has been proven to produce more holistic, contextual, and applicable learning processes in students’ daily lives. Furthermore, the implementation of philosophical values in learning enhances students’ moral awareness and positive behavior. Therefore, educational philosophy has a strategic role as a conceptual foundation in character building for elementary school students. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating philosophical values into the curriculum, learning strategies, and the role of teachers as role models in instilling character values sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of schools in educational philosophy and their implications for Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research, which is sourced from books, scientific journals, and other relevant literature. The data was analyzed descriptively and comparatively to identify the differences, similarities, and contributions of each school. The results show that the philosophy of education is divided into two main tendencies, namely traditional (essentialism and perennialism) that emphasizes the stability of values and the dominant role of educators, and contemporary (progressivism, existentialism, and reconstructionalism) which is oriented towards individual freedom, learning experience, and social change. In the context of Islamic education, each school has its relevance as well as its limitations. Traditional schools are aligned with efforts to maintain basic Islamic values, while contemporary schools contribute to the development of more adaptive and contextual learning methods. However, the difference in paradigm between schools requires a proper selection and integration process so as not to conflict with Islamic principles. This study concludes that an integrative approach that combines traditional values with modern thinking becomes a strategic solution in the development of relevant, adaptive, and sustainable Islamic education.
