Abstract

Kemandirian siswa dapat diatasi dengan mengembangkan modul berdasarkan masalah sehingga materi mudah dipahami oleh siswa secara mandiri tanpa mengharapkan semua material ditransfer oleh dosen mata kuliah. Kuliah di perguruan tinggi menuntut bisnis mandiri para siswa sehingga itulah yang membedakan pola belajar siswa oleh siswa. Pengembangan modul ini menggunakan langkah-langkah dalam memecahkan masalah pendidikan (Plomp, 1997) sebagai kerangka acuan. Berdasarkan langkah-langkah tersebut Plomp, maka pengembangan modul dilakukan dalam empat tahap, yaitu; (1) penyidikan awal, (2) perancangan, (3) realisasi atau konstruksi, dan (4) pengujian, evaluasi, revisi. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan kemudian dianalisis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan sebuah modul teori graf dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah, dan menghasilkan artikel ilmiah tentang modul teori graf dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the communication skills of mathematics in mathematics learning through inquiry approach at VIIth-B grade of SMPN 17 Mataram. This study was conducted in two cycles. The results showed that communication skills math class VII-B SMPN 17 Mataram increased from cycle I to cycle II after conducted inquiry learning approach. This is shown by as much as 74.28% of 36 students has increased at a total score of aspects of mathematical communication skills. To score every aspect of communication skills of mathematics shows that as much as 51.42% of the total number of students has increased on aspects of the capability of providing a rational reason to a statement, as much as 45.71% of 36 students has increased the ability to change aspects of description into a mathematical model, 71.43% of 36 students has increased the viability illustrate mathematical ideas in the form of a relevant description. The average value of the test in the first cycle was 61.03 in the category of medium and the second cycle increased to 67.66 in the high category. Based on the analysis of learning through observation sheets inquiry approach shows that the average percentage of enforceability in the first cycle is 80% and the second cycle increased to 94%. Data from these observations are confirmed by the data from interviews and data from the questionnaire responses of students to learning through inquiry approach which has increased from the first cycle o the second cycle for each aspect and are in the high category. Thus, students have responded positively to the learning of mathematics through inquiry approach as an effort to improve the communication skills of mathematics.

Abstract

Based on the research that has been done in VII grade student of MTs Asy-Syafi'iyahBendung found a problem that has an average mathematics value low. This iscaused  by learning  mathematics is still conventional and monotonous. So, there needs to be an effort to improve student learning outcomes. One of them is by applying the ELPSA framework learning. The purpose of this action research is to improve the learning outcomes at VII grade student of MTs Asy-Syafi'iyahBendungin academic year 2017/2018. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research consisted 4 stages of CAR (Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection). The subject of this research are30 student at VII grade.The study was conducted within 6 weeks. The instruments in this research are daily tests, evaluation tests, and LKS. The results of research showed that student learning outcomes improved after applying ELPSA framework. Student’s completeness scor in cycle I is 30,76% increased to 86.7% in cycle II. Then it can be concluded that the implementation of ELPSA frame work on subject matter statistic can to improve student learning outcomes at VII grade student of MTs Asy-Syafi'iyah Bendung academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

This research is motivated by problems where the books used by students during the lecture process only refer to one textbook as a source of reading. Textbooks that are difficult to understand make students not understand the concept. In addition, students experience many misconceptions. As a result, student learning outcomes are also low. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of problem-based graft theory modules to improve understanding of students' concepts and learning outcomes. This research method is a class action research method consisting of two cycles. The instrument used in this study is a concept understanding test as well as a test of learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were the 6th semester B grade students of Mathematics Education Department of FPMIPA IKIP Mataram consisting of 34 students. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes have increased. In the first cycle student learning outcomes reached 63% and in the second cycle to 79. In addition, the concept of understanding students experienced a percentage increase of 65% (sufficient category) in the first cycle to 75% (high category) in the second cycle. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of problem-based graph theory modules can improve understanding of concepts and learning outcomes of mathematics education students at IKIP Mataram

Abstract

Based on information obtained through preliminary observation in MTs. Al-Muslimun NW Tegal, obtained the problem that the participation of students at the time of learning is low. Students do not want to express opinions or ask questions although there is still material that has not been understood. This results in low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of Snowball Throwing learning method on algebra material to improve student learning outcomes. The research method used in this research is classroom action research (PTK). Subjects in this study were students of grade VIII MTs. Al-Muslimun NW. The instruments of this study consist of material handouts, teacher and student activity observation sheets, evaluation and documentation tests. Data collection techniques in this study include: data sources, data types, data collection methods. The data analysis technique of individual learning result using KKM determined by school that is ≥ 65 and classical completeness using KK determined that is ≥ 85%, while teacher activity and student activity is calculated using formula exist in research of class action. The results showed the percentage of classical completeness 93.94% with an average value of 75.61. By looking at the percentage of individual and classical student learning outcomes has been achieved. So it can be concluded that the application of Snowball Throwing learning method can improve student learning outcomes class VIII MTs. Al-Muslimun Tegal.

Abstract

Teacher does not build a connection between the concept would be taught and the prior knowledge. So that the students often memorize the concept given and solve a problem procedural. As the result, students have weak understanding about a concept and its application.This study aimed to describe the instructional steps in RME which to increase the students understanding about fraction, and how student understanding of grade 4th of SDN 6 Pringgabaya about fraction through the application with RME. This study was classroom action research (PTK).The result shows that the instructionwith RME was conducted based on the instructional steps to increase the students’ understanding about fraction concept. These steps involve: (1) understanding the contextual problem deal with fraction, (2) solving in group the contextual problem about the fraction by using and modeling the manipulative materials provided, (3) comparing and discussing  the student work by asking one group to present their work, and (4) concluding the topic that have been learned and discussed.The result of test, the percentage of average score of students is ³ 65 for Action II. The precise figure is 26 of 32 students participated. The means that the understanding of students about the fraction topic is increased

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas VII MTsN 1 Bima pada mata pelajaran matematika dengan pokok bahasan luas dan keliling persegi panjang dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran power point. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Bima dengan mengambil 5 siswa sebagai responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan tes. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan tes evaluasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah data aktivitas siswa. Indikator keberhasilan ditetapkan jika nilai rata-rata siswa kelas eksperimen meningkat dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol.hasil Berdasarkan analisis data menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar Matematika mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini signifikan dengan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa, dengan skor rata-rata 82,7 pada aktivitas yang dikategorikan sangat aktif dan hasil pemahaman konsep siswa pada ketuntasan klasikal kelas kontrol tidak tuntas dan pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang klasikal 100 %. Selain itu dari data observasi yang diperoleh sebelum tindakan diberikan siswa terlihat kurang aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran lebih didominasi oleh guru setelah tindakan diberikan, siswa terlihat aktif baik saat kegiatan tanya jawab maupun saat kegiatan belajar mengajar. . yaitu ketuntasan klasikal 100%.Selain itu dari data observasi yang diperoleh sebelum tindakan diberikan siswa terlihat kurang aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran lebih didominasi oleh guru setelah tindakan diberikan, siswa terlihat aktif baik saat kegiatan tanya jawab maupun saat kegiatan belajar mengajar. . yaitu ketuntasan klasikal 100%. Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the problem-based learning model with power point media in increasing interest and ability to solve math problems for class XI students at MA Plus Nurul Islam Sekarbela. The method used in this research is classroom action research which has four stages: action planning, action implementation, data observation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study were test techniques, questionnaire techniques, observation techniques and documentation techniques, while the instruments in this study were test instruments, questionnaires and observation sheets. The results showed that students' interest in learning mathematics was high with a score of 80.13% in both cycle I and cycle II. Students' mathematical problem solving abilities also increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely 45.6% (enough) to 80.6% (high). This increase in interest and learning outcomes was supported by the average learning observation results in cycle I of 89% (very high) which increased in cycle II to 99.33% (very high). Based on the results of this study, it can be said that the application of the Problem Based Learning model with Power Point media can be used as an alternative learning to increase students' interest and ability to solve mathematical problems in class XI MIPA at MA Plus Nurul Islam Sekarbela.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of creative thinking skills on students' mathematical connection abilities. The type of research used is ex post facto with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used in this study was a purposive sampling technique, while the samples selected in this study were 34 students from class X SMK Tarbiyatul Qurro' Selagalas, Mataram City. The instrument used in this study was in the form of description questions which amounted to one item covering the ability to think creatively and one item covering the ability to connect mathematics. The data analysis technique used is the T test and simple linear regression. Before carrying out linear regression analysis, prerequisite tests must be carried out, namely homogeneity, normality and linearity tests. The homogeneity test uses Fisher's test. The results of homogeneity calculations using Fisher's test with manual calculations found that F_count = 1.116 and F_table = 1.787. Because F_count< F_table, the two groups are said to be homogeneous. The results of the simple linear regression equation are Y Ì‚ = a + bX = 36.892+ 0.725X. As for the results of the calculation of the influence test with the T test, obtained T_count = 5.241 and T_table = 2.036 because T_count < T_table with a significant level of 5%, it is concluded that there is a real (significant) influence ) creative thinking skills on students' mathematical connection abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate a Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) on polynomial material for 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Lingsar. The development of the LKPD follows the modified 4-D model, which includes the Define, Design, and Develop stages, due to time and budget constraints. This research employs a one group pre-test and posttest experimental design, involving 30 11th grade students as subjects. The LKPD was validated by two experts: a content expert (80%) and a media expert (90%), who assessed aspects of content accuracy, instructional relevance, clarity, language, simplicity, visual design, and the integration of PBL components. The practicality of the LKPD was measured through questionnaires given to both teachers and students, with results showing a practicality level of 97% in terms of usability and instructional value. The effectiveness of the LKPD was tested through a mathematical literacy assessment given before and after the learning intervention. Data analysis was performed using a paired sample t-test, which showed a statistically significant improvement (p < 0.05) in students' mathematical literacy scores, particularly in problem formulation and solving indicators. These findings empirically support the use of the PBL model as a framework for designing instructional materials that can enhance mathematical literacy. The use of Canva as a design tool also increased student engagement through appealing and functional visual displays. The results of this study demonstrate that contextual and visually designed instructional materials can be effective pedagogical instruments, especially for abstract mathematics topics like polynomials. This research contributes to mathematics education by presenting a validated PBL based LKPD design model that can be adapted for various subjects and educational levels.
