Abstract

The nutritional status of children under five is one of the world's concerns in the field of global public welfare in achieving the SDG's target. In the 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), there are several main targets in efforts to improve the nutritional status of the community, namely reducing the prevalence of undernutrition (wasting) in children under five from 10.2% to 7% and the prevalence of stunting (short and very short) in children under five from 27.7% to 14%. This study aims to determine what factors are associated with the nutritional status of toddlers in the Meureubo West Aceh Health Center Working Area. This study is a quantitative study that is descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted at the Meureubo Health Center Work Area, West Aceh Regency. The population in this study were all mothers who had toddlers (1-5 years), namely 1,364 respondents. The sample was 93 respondents who were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of this study showed the level of maternal education (p-value = 0.298 > α 0.05), parental income (p-value = 0.922 > α 0.05), maternal employment (p-value = 0.672 > α 0.05), history of infectious disease (p-value = 0.010 < α 0.05), feeding (p-value = 0.668 > α 0.05). The associated variables were history of infectious diseases and the unresolved ones were mother's education level, parents' income, mother's occupation, and feeding. It is suggested that future researchers can make this research a scientific reference to conduct further research or conduct similar research in the future. Abstract

Abstract

Complaints of skeletal muscle disorders are disorders of skeletal muscles with low, medium and high risk levels that can interfere with workers resulting in work accidents and occupational diseases. Therefore, this study is to see the relationship between factors associated with GOTRAK complaints in packer and transport (loading) workers in the Indarung Packing Plan Unit of PT Semen Padang. This study used a quantitative analytical method with a cross-sectional design and filling out a GOTRAK complaint survey in accordance with SNI 9011: 2021. While primary data is obtained from video recordings when workers do work. The results of statistical tests with the chi-square test stated that there was a relationship between GOTRAK complaints and work position (p-value=0.001, length of work (p-value=0.001), physical fatigue (p-value=0.001), and pain (p-value=0.001). The survey results of GOTRAK complaints SNI 9011: 2021 showed a number 4 with a moderate risk level so that it requires improved work regulations and improved workplace design. 38 workers in the packer and transport (loading) section experienced GOTRAK complaints.

Abstract

Introduction: The rapid growth of population and economic activity has exacerbated waste management challenges in Indonesia, including in West Aceh Regency. The imbalance between waste generation and the capacity of existing management systems has led to waste accumulation in various locations, particularly in densely populated areas. This study aims to examine the role of the Environmental Agency (DLH) in addressing waste congestionand to identify the supporting and constraining factors that influence the implementation of waste management policies in West Aceh Regency. A qualitative descriptive design with a phenomenological approach was employed to gain an in-depth understanding of the experiences and perceptions of waste management stakeholders. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document review using purposive sampling, involving DLH officials, sanitation workers, and community members. Data analysis was conducted through iterative processes of reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings indicate that the West Aceh DLH plays a strategic role in waste management through the implementation of a controlled landfill system, community education on waste segregation, and strengthened cross- sectoral collaboration such as waste bank initiatives and communal clean-up activities. However, policy effectiveness remains constrained by limitedfacilities and infrastructure, insufficient human resources, and low community participation in fee payment and waste sorting practices. In conclusion, successful waste management in West Aceh requires greater synergy among institutional capacity, regulatory support, and community-based social awareness to ensure sustainable waste governance.

Abstract

As healthcare facilities, community health centers (puskesmas) generate wastewater that contains pathogenic microorganisms, hazardous chemicals, and toxic substances, which have the potential to pollute the environment and pose risks to public health if not managed according to standards. Although the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 7 of 2019 mandates that every puskesmas should have a functioning Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL), many puskesmas in West Aceh District, including Puskesmas Cot Seumeureung and Peureumeu, have not yet operated their IPAL optimally. This study aims to assess the wastewater management at these two puskesmas and the role of the West Aceh Health Office in supervision and guidance. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation from seven informants at both puskesmas and the Health Office. The data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that at Puskesmas Cot Seumeureung, only some rooms are connected to the IPAL due to limited pipeline infrastructure, while at Puskesmas Peureumeu, pipe leaks that have remained unrepaired for two years were found. Additionally, the monitoring of water quality and maintenance of the IPAL at both puskesmas are still minimal, with pH test results frequently exceeding the standard limits. The management of wastewater at these puskesmas remains suboptimal, requiring improvements in infrastructure, regular monitoring, and capacity-building for human resources.
