Abstract

Based on the results of preliminary observations at the Ulugawo State Junior High School 1, several problems were found, including: 1) Learning is still conventional (teacher centered), and 2) Student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects are still lacking. Research objectives: (1) Describe the quality of mathematics learning through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model. (2) Describe student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model. The research location is at Ulugawo State Junior High School 1. The subjects of the study were 26 students of classVIII-A, consisting of 10 men and 16 women. The research method used is Class Action Research (PTK) which consists of four stages, namely: (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. Research instruments: (1) Observation sheets, (2) Learning quality questionnaires, (3) Student learning outcomes tests (4) Interview guide sheets, and (5) Photo documentation. Research results: (1) The quality of mathematics learning through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model at the State Junior High School 1 Ulugawo for the 2021/2022 Academic Year in Cycle I, which is 64.39% classified as sufficient criteria and in Cycle II, 98.53% is classified as very good criteria. (2) The average student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model at the State Junior High School 1 Ulugawo for the 2021/2022 Academic Year in Cycle I are 69.30 classified as sufficient criteria and in Cycle II, 80.15 are classified as good criteria.

Abstract

This research was motivated by findings in the problem limitation, namely that students' mathematics learning outcomes had not yet reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). Many students considered mathematics to be difficult and boring, and the lack of instructional materials contributed to the ineffectiveness of the learning process. To overcome this issue, a mathematics learning module based on the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model was developed to enhance students' active involvement. This study aims to develop a module that is valid, practical, and effective for use in junior high school mathematics instruction. The research adopted the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used in this study included validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, effectiveness questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The subjects of the research were one mathematics teacher and eighteen Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Bawolato. The data collected consisted of both quantitative and qualitative data. The validation results indicated that the module was highly valid, with a score of 91.6% from the content expert, 88.8% from the language expert, and 87.5% from the design expert. The module was considered highly practical based on the teacher's response (92.5%) and students' response (89.8%). The module's effectiveness was demonstrated by an increase in students’ learning outcomes, from an average score of 25.67 (low category) to 84.55 (very good category). Thus, the mathematics module based on the Problem-Based Learning model meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, and is suitable for use in mathematics learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menciptakan produk modul ajar berbasis etnomatematika yang valid, praktis dan efektif untuk Kurikulum Merdeka, yang akan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Gunungsitoli pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025, yang termasuk dalam jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Development, Dissemination). Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif dan data kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, validator modul ajar I (92,22%), validator modul ajar II (94,44%), dan validator modul ajar III (95,55%) menilai kualitas modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berbasis etnomatematika yang dibuat untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa memenuhi syarat sebagai sangat layak. Dengan rata-rata persentase kepraktisan sebesar 83,72% dan persentase efektivitas sebesar 90,62%, modul ajar ini juga terbukti sangat bermanfaat. Dengan demikian, telah dihasilkan sebuah modul ajar berbasis etnomatematika yang dapat mendukung peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa serta telah terbukti bermanfaat, praktis, dan berhasil digunakan secara optimal dalam proses pengajaran matematika.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang terpenting dikuasai oleh siswa di sekolah. Namun kenyataanya siswa SMP Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Lotu mengalami hambatan dalam proses pembelajaran karena keinginan siswa untuk belajar matematika sangat kurang. Sehingga minat dan hasil belajar siswa berkategori cukup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan produk berupa multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D (Define, Design, Development, Desseminate). Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Lotu, di kelas VII pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah pedoman wawancara, lembaran angket dan soal tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa memiliki kategori sangat valid oleh ahli materi I dengan persentase 94,74%, ahli materi II dengan persentase 93,42% dan ahli media dengan persentase 98%, serta ahli bahasa dengan persentase 95,45%. Selanjutnya, multimedia interaktif juga sangat praktis dengan rata-rata hasil persentase kepraktisan sebesar 93,18% dan persentase keefektifan dari hasil pengolahan angket minat sebesar 87% dan hasil pengolahan tes hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata 81,30. Dari hasil penelitian di atas, maka pengembangan multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Lotu dinyatakan sudah memenuhi harapan atau tujuan penelitian.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving ability is one of the essential competencies that students must master. However, initial observations at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliduho revealed that students’ problem-solving skills are still relatively low, and Project Based Learning (PjBL)-based teaching materials have not yet been applied in the school. This study aims to develop a PjBL-based instructional module that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ mathematical problem-solving ability. The research was conducted using a development approach with the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research instruments consisted of expert validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires for teachers and students, and a problem-solving test. The data collected were both qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data were obtained from comments, suggestions, and feedback provided by validators, while quantitative data were derived from the results of validation scores, teacher and student responses, and students’ test results. The research findings showed that the developed learning module was highly valid, as evidenced by validation scores of 98% and 99% from two content experts, 96% from the language expert, and 98% from the design expert. The module was also considered highly practical, with a score of 90.63% from students and 93% from the teacher. Furthermore, the module proved effective in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving skills, with an average score of 80.25 (high category) and classical completeness of 83.33% (high category). In conclusion, the PjBL-based module developed in this study fulfilled the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, thus supporting the achievement of learning objectives.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan peneliti di UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Moro’o. Ditemukan masalah yaitu (1) kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa masih kurang (2) kemampuan awal siswa belum optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas connected mathematics project terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis ditinjau dari kemampuan awal UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Moro’o. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII dan sampel penelian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas kontrol di UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Moro’o yang berjumlah 57 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Nonprobability sampling. Jenis penelitan ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen design), dan instrumen penelitian ini berbentuk uraian kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Hasil rata-rata tes dari kelas eksperimen diperoleh sebesar 71,75 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 59,57. Hasil ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang dilihat dari rata-rata tes awal kelas eksperimen diperoleh sebesar 50,24 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 46,14. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model Connected Mathematics Project secara tepat oleh guru dan siswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis secara aktif, kreatif, dan kontekstual.

Abstract

This study is based on the results of a preliminary study conducted by researchers at UPTD SMP Negeri 7 Gunungsitoli, found problems, namely (1) the learning model in the classroom is less varied and (2) the lack of students' mathematical problemsolving abilities in solving mathematical problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Multi Representation Discourse (DMR) learning model on the mathematical problemsolving abilities of students at UPTD SMP Negeri 7 Gunungsitoli. This type of research is quantitative research using a quasiexperimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was grade VIII students and the research sample consisted of two classes, namely VIII-C as the experimental class and VIII-A as the control class. The instrument in this study was in the form of a mathematical problemsolving ability essay test. The results of the study obtained based on oneparty hypothesis testing obtained a tcount value = 5,283 and a ttable value = 1.678. Because tcount > ttable or 5,283> 1.678, reject H0 and accept Ha, which means "there is an influence of the Multi Representation Discourse (DMR) learning model on students' mathematical problemsolving abilities".

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes among students, their limited engagement during the learning process, and the unappealing presentation of learning materials at SMP Negeri 4 Alasa. The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on students' mathematics learning outcomes within the Merdeka Curriculum. This experimental study employed a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects included all seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Alasa, with class VII-B (30 students) serving as the experimental group taught using the PjBL model, while class VII-A (30 students) served as the control group using conventional teaching methods. The instrument used was an essay-based learning outcome test comprising five questions. Data analysis results showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the critical t-value (4.855 > 1.671). Thus, H0 was rejected, and Hₐ was accepted, indicating that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model had a significant effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes under the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Studi awal menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran didalam kelas kurang bervariasi, (2) kurangnya kemampuan berpikir Kritis siswa dan (3) Kurangnya keyakinan diri siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematic Education terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan (2) mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematic Education terhadap self-efficacy siswa. Kami menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Mandrehe dengan mengambil dua sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu VIII-C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-D sebagai kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara menghitung nilai akhir siswa, menghitung rata-rata nilai, dan menghitung simpangan baku. Setelah data dianalisis, untuk hasil tes dilakukan uji normalitas (Uji Liliefors), uji homogenitas (Uji Fisher) dan pengujian hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji t. Sedangkan untuk hasil angket, pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Z dua sampel. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa (1) Ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematic Education terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, (2) Ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Realistic Mathematic Education terhadap self-efficacy siswa. Model pembelajaran Realistik Mathematic Education dapat diimplikasikan bagi guru matematika untuk melaksanakan proses pembelajaran, sehingga siswa dapat lebih aktif dan mampu memahami materi dengan tepat serta menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self-efficacy siswa menjadi lebih baik
