Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi bahwa masih banyak peserta didik yang kurang memahami materi yang dijelaskan guru, peserta didik kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, belum menyediakan bahan ajar penunjang yang bisa dipelajari peserta didik di rumah secara mandiri, seperti penggunaan video pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran matematika berbasis Discovery Learning pada materi dimensi tiga yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dan model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model plomp. Proses pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Plomp terdiri atas tiga tahapan. yaitu preliminary research,  prototyping phase, assessment phase. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket validasi, angket respon peserta didik dan tes hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan telah teruji sangat valid oleh validator ahli materi rata-rata sebesar 91,5%, persentase validasi bahasa sebesar 100% dan persentase validasi media sebesar 95%. Selanjutnya, video juga mendapatkan kriteria sangat praktis dan layak digunakan dengan hasil angket respon siswa sebesar 93% dan dengan hasil angket respon guru sebesar 94%. Kemudian, video juga sangat efektif digunakan dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 90%. Dari hasil penelitian di atas, maka video pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dengan berbasis Discovery Learning telah memenuhi tujuan penelitian.

Abstract

Based on the results of preliminary observations at the Ulugawo State Junior High School 1, several problems were found, including: 1) Learning is still conventional (teacher centered), and 2) Student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects are still lacking. Research objectives: (1) Describe the quality of mathematics learning through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model. (2) Describe student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model. The research location is at Ulugawo State Junior High School 1. The subjects of the study were 26 students of classVIII-A, consisting of 10 men and 16 women. The research method used is Class Action Research (PTK) which consists of four stages, namely: (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. Research instruments: (1) Observation sheets, (2) Learning quality questionnaires, (3) Student learning outcomes tests (4) Interview guide sheets, and (5) Photo documentation. Research results: (1) The quality of mathematics learning through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model at the State Junior High School 1 Ulugawo for the 2021/2022 Academic Year in Cycle I, which is 64.39% classified as sufficient criteria and in Cycle II, 98.53% is classified as very good criteria. (2) The average student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model at the State Junior High School 1 Ulugawo for the 2021/2022 Academic Year in Cycle I are 69.30 classified as sufficient criteria and in Cycle II, 80.15 are classified as good criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh, kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami materi pelajaran matematika khususnya materi perpangkatan dan bentuk akar, sehingga kurang aktif dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat desain pembelajaran matematika berbasis hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT) di UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah design research. Dalam metode design research, ada tiga tahap yang lakukan yaitu tahap pendahuluan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap analisis retrospektif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX-i. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti membuat HLT sebagai dugaan awal dari aktivitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan sehingga didapatkan desain pembelajaran yang diharapkan. Dari hasil kerja beberapa kelompok diperoleh bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik telah mencapai tujuan pembelajaran, serta menyelesaikan masalah sehari-hari yang berkaitan dengan materi perpangkatan dan bentuk akar. Hasil analisis retrospektif menunjukkan desain pembelajaran yang dibuat memberikan perubahan positif terhadap peserta didik kelas IX-i dalam memahami materi perpangkatan dan bentuk akar.

Abstract

This research is based on a preliminary study conducted by researchers during observations at SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe Barat. The problem is that students' mathematical problem-solving skills still need improvement. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of brainstorming learning methods on students' mathematical problem-solving ability. This type of research uses the quasi-experimental research method involving two groups that are given different treatments. The population of this study was all VIII classes of SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe Barat, and two classes were selected by simple random sampling as research samples, namely class VIII-A totaling 20 students as an experimental class taught using the brainstorming learning method and class VIII-B 21 students as a control class taught using conventional learning methods. Data were collected through student mathematical problem-solving ability tests. Based on this research, the results of hypothesis testing are   and . Because   > , then Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted that there is an effect of brainstorming learning method on students' mathematical problem-solving ability at SMP Negeri 3 Mandrehe Barat.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the lack of self-confidence, fear, worry, discomfort, and nervousness of students during the mathematics learning process and the low mathematical communication skills of students. This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy and mathematical anxiety on students' mathematical communication skills. This type of research is correlational research with quantitative methods. The research instrumental used are self-efficacy questionnaire, mathematical anxiety questionnaire and mathematical communication ability test. The population in this study amounted to 43 people with a sample size of 39 people taken using probability sampling with simple random sampling technique. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of the study, obtained in the First hypothesis the value of tcount(3.9116) >ttabel (0.0631) with H0 rejected and Ha accepted which if students' self-efficacy is higher then students' mathematical communication skills are also higher and vice versa. In the second hypothesis, the value of tcount(0.2819)>ttabel (0.0631), with H0 rejected and Ha accepted which if students' math anxiety is high then their math communication skills are low and vice versa. Concluded that the two independent variables together have a significant influence on the dependent variable with a percentage of 32.45%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between students' attitudes towards mathematics learning and mathematical communication skills of 8th grade students of SMPN 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi. This type of research is quantitative research with an associative approach that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables. The number of informants from this study was 186 students. Data collection techniques through student attitude questionnaire, and written test of mathematical communication ability. Based on this research, the results of hypothesis testing obtained thitung = 3.969 and ttabel 1.653. Because the hypothesis tcount = 3.969> ttable 1.653 then H0 is rejected H1 is accepted which means "There is a relationship between student attitudes on mathematics learning towards students' mathematical communication skills this shows that there is a significant relationship between the attitudes of students in class VIII SMPN 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi". So it can be concluded that students' attitudes towards learning mathematics have a relationship to students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the observations of researchers at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi, which is still found that students do not like to study mathematics, sometimes this lesson is a difficult lesson both in material and in learning so that it causes the level of critical thinking of students in solving math problems is still lacking. This study aims to describe the level of critical thinking skills of students, especially class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Idanoi, using descriptive qualitative research methods: research that describes variables as they are supported by data generated from actual circumstances. Based on the research results, the average level of students' critical thinking is 47.39 with the average acquisition of students' critical thinking skills based on indicators obtained: Interpretation indicators (60.58), Analysis indicators (55.29), Evaluation indicators (35.58), and Inference indicators (53.85). Thus, based on the average value of students' critical thinking skills, it is obtained that the level of critical thinking of students is still low. Critical thinking is not easy, but critical thinking skills can be learned and trained.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimulai karena ditemukan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan mengkomunikasikan ide matematika di kelas matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi pembelajaran problem pose diterapkan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP Negeri 1 Mazo. Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Mazo kelas VIII semester I tahun ajaran 2023–2024. Siswa dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelas kontrol (VIII–2, dengan 20 siswa) dan kelas eksperimen (VIII–1, dengan 20 siswa). Tes kemampuan komunikasi matematika bergaya esai digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Ujian tersebut dievaluasi secara teoritis sebelum versi final diujikan di SMP Negeri 4 Mazo untuk menjamin keabsahannya. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan thitung = 3,197 dan ttabel = 1,655 menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem pose mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Karena thitung (3,197) lebih besar dari ttabel (1,655), maka hipotesis alternatif yang menyatakan penerapan model pembelajaran problem pose berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan akademis, seperti kurangnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa saat pembelajaran matematika dan fakta bahwa hasil belajar rata-rata siswa pada permasalahan matematika masih buruk. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya variasi kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajar di SMA Negeri 1 Susua dengan menggunakan metodologi pembelajaran issue position dan problem based learning. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 1 Susua dengan siswa kelas XII-MIPA-1 sebagai eksperimen 1 (total 24) dan siswa kelas XII-MIPA-2 sebagai eksperimen 2. Desain penelitian yakni desain kelompok kontrol pretest-posttest. Alat penelitiannya adalah tes esai yang menilai kemampuan komunikasi matematika. Sedangkan rata-rata nilai ujian akhir matematika kelas eksperimen E1 sebesar 66,82(kategori cukup), kelas eksperimen E2 sebesar 75,69 (kategori baik). Hasil uji hipotesis, yakni thitung = -2,334 dan ttabel = -1, 680. Karena thitung dan ttabel , maka tolak Ha terima Ho yang berarti “Ada perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran problem posing dan problem based learning di SMA Negeri 1 Susua”.
