<![CDATA[Rampant caries is a multifactorial disease that interacts with, among others, from food and habits that are not in accordance with health such as eating food and feeding through bottles. The results of interviews conducted by researchers on 10 mothers of Applied Islamic Kindergarten Baitussahalihin that 8 students' mothers still lacked knowledge about rampant caries in children. The results of the examination conducted by researchers on 7 out of 10 students (70%) had tooth decay (rampan caries). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's knowledge about rampant caries in children under five at Baitusshalihihin Applied Islamic Kindergarten, Ulee Kareng District, Banda Aceh City. This type of research is analytic with cross sectional study method and using a questionnaire as an instrument. The sampling technique in this study used a total sampling technique, because all the population was used as a sample consisting of 40 students and 40 mothers as respondents to be used as samples. The results showed that the frequency distribution of maternal knowledge about rampant caries was in the poor category 54.2%. The results of the chi square statistical test showed that there was a significant relationship between the mother's knowledge of rampant caries and the p value = 0.006 (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge about rampant caries in toddlers at Baitusshalihin Applied Islamic Kindergarten. It is recommended for mothers to further increase knowledge about dental and oral health, especially rampant caries in children from an early age through print and electronic media so that they can prevent rampant caries and overcome dental health problems that occur in children.]]>

<![CDATA[Parents should play an active role in supervising their children's dental and oral health care. Based on preliminary data conducted on 12 students of SDN Lamsayeun Kec. Want Jaya Kab. Aceh Besar got the results that 9 of his teeth had crowding teeth. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of parental knowledge with crowding teeth in grade I, II and III children at SDN Lamsayeun, Want Jaya District, Aceh Besar district. This research is analytic with a cross sectional design, carried out on 8 to 12 November 2021. The population and sample are all students in grades I, II and III totaling 40 students and their parents. The results showed that students with dominant crowding had parents with sufficient knowledge as many as 9 respondents (100%). Meanwhile, students with dominant crowding had parents with poor knowledge of 13 respondents (54.2%) and students who did not experience dominant crowding had mothers with poor knowledge of 11 respondents (45.8%).The results of the chi-square statistical test obtained a value of p = 0.006 (p <0.005), Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between parental knowledge and crowding of children's teeth at SDN Lamsayeun Kec. <![CDATA[Children need strong and healthy teeth not only to chew food but also to pronounce words. Dental care from an early age is an important step for healthy children's teeth. Children with special needs are children with special characteristics that are different from children in general without always showing mental, emotional, or physical incapacity. SLB YBSM Banda Aceh is a foundation that specifically accommodates people with disabilities. Based on interviews with school principals where the children are deaf, physically disabled, and blind (Tuna Graphite). This community service aims to improve actions on how to brush teeth properly and correctly and reduce dental and oral hygiene status in children. at the SLB YBSM Lamjabat Banda Aceh City. This community service was carried out using a descriptive method, with the target of 30 teachers and students as respondents at the YBSM Special School in Banda Aceh City. <![CDATA[ABSTRAK Pendidikan kesehatan di sekolah bertujuan mendorong kemandirian siswa untuk hidup sehat, memelihara dan meningkatkan kesehatan individu maupun keluarga. Perencanaan manajemen pendidikan kesehatan bagi siswa yang melibatkan stakeholder serta komite sekolah dalam menyusun program pendidikan kesehatan sekolah bagi siswa. Pelaksanaan manajemen pendidikan kesehatan melibatkan semua elemen sekolah yang berperan dalam menciptakan kegiatan kesehatan bagi siswa yang efektif dan efesien. Pembinaan ini melalui tindakan promotif dan preventif. Penilaian manajemen pendidikan kesehatan berbentuk dari rangkaian kegiatan siswa serta peran aktif dalam membangun pehamaman siswa dalam bidang kesehatan anak usia sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan dapat memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan kepada guru dan siswa dalam menyusun perencanaan kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan secara baik. Kesimpulan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam hal ini pengelola dan satri di Yayasan Ma’had Darul Tahfizh Al-Ikhlas bias memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan model manajemen pendidikan kesehatan, mengacu pada program pemerintah yaitu Usaha Kesehatan Sekolah (UKS) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dalam berperilaku hidup bersih dan sehat sehingga kedepan nya sekolah akan melahirkan generasi yang cerdas dan sehat. Sebagai suatu penelitian sistematis pada proses desain, pengembangan dan evaluasi dengan tujuan membangun sebuah dasar empiris untuk penciptaan model seharusnya menjadi prioritas utama para peneliti di biadang pendidikan. <![CDATA[The biggest dental and oral health problem commonly encountered is caries. Caries is a universal disease that can occur in all ages, races, socio-economic and genders. One of the important factors causing caries is the lack of maintaining dental and oral hygiene. The value of dental and oral hygiene is important for each individual to know, it plays a role in efforts to prevent the occurrence of caries. The purpose of this study was to determine the Relationship between Dental Health Knowledge and Adolescent Caries Status at SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. This research is analytical with a cross-sectional approach, conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. The results of the study on adolescent knowledge about dental health are still in the sufficient category, with the status of dental caries in the medium category in adolescents at SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh, the most dental health knowledge in the sufficient category as many as 29 people (53.7%), and the status of adolescent caries the most in the moderate category as many as 23 people (42.6%). The results of statistical analysis with the Chi Square test, obtained the significance value of the relationship between dental health knowledge and caries status in adolescents with a P Value value: 0.05. Therefore, adolescents must be more active in seeking information about dental health, in order to avoid the status of caries which greatly affects dental health.]]>

<![CDATA[Knowledge is a very important domain for the formation of an action because one's actions are influenced by the knowledge one has. Based on the results of dental examinations conducted on 10 students by researchers at SDN Sibreh, Aceh Besar, it was found that the average OHI-S status was 50% with bad criteria. This study aims to determine the relationship between dental and oral hygiene maintenance knowledge and OHI-S status in class IV students at SDN Sibreh, Suka Makmur District, Aceh Besar. This type of research is analytic method with cross sectional design. The population of this study were all 48 students of Class IV at SDN Sibreh. Sampling in this study using total sampling technique. The analysis in this study used the chi-square test. The results showed that the knowledge of maintaining dental and oral hygiene was 23 students (47.9%) in the good category and 25 students (52.1%) in the poor category. OHI-S status with good category was 10 students (20.8%), medium category was 17 students (35.4%), and bad category was 21 students (43.8%). The results of the chi-square statistical test showed that there was a relationship between knowledge of oral hygiene maintenance P value = 0.001 <0.05 and OHI-S status. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge of dental and oral hygiene maintenance and OHI-S status. <![CDATA[Tingkat penghasilan dan pendidikan mempengaruhi perilaku hidup sehat pada seseorang. Penghasilan mempunyai pengaruh langsung pada perawatan medis, karies gigi pada anak sangat mempengaruhi oleh peran orang tua hal ini disebabkan oleh tingkat ketergantungan anak yang sangat tinggi terhadap orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran status karies gigi ditinjau dari tingkat penghasilan dan pendidikan orang tua pada murid kelas V MIN 3 Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan melakukan pemeriksaan karies gigi menggunakan KSP, sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 36 murid kelas V MIN 3 Kota Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian pada 36 murid kelas V MIN 3 Kota Banda Aceh menunjukkan status karies gigi murid paling banyak adalah pada kategori sedang yaitu 13 responden (36.1%). Tingkat penghasilan orang tua paling banyak adalah pada kategori rendah yaitu 23 orang (63,8%). Tingkat pendidikan orang tua paling banyak pada kategori menengah yaitu 16 orang (44,4%). Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa status karies gigi pada murid kelas V MIN 3 Kota Banda Aceh tergolong sedang, tingkat penghasilan orang tua paling banyak adalah pada kategori rendah, tingkat pendidikan orang tua paling banyak pada kategori menengah, diharapkan kepada murid MIN 3 Kota Banda Aceh agar dapat menjaga kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan cara membersihkan gigi dengan menyikat gigi secara teratur, dan mengurangi makanan yang manis dan lengket agar terhindar dari penyakit karies gigi yang dapat mengganggu kegiatan belajar dalam seharihari.]]>

<![CDATA[Persistensi merupakan keadaan dimana gigi susu tidak tanggal walaupun gigi tetap penggantinya sudah tumbuh. Dalam pertumbuhan gigi anak diperlukan perhatian dan pengetahuan orang tua khususnya ibu yang lebih mengenal periode dan transisi atau waktu bercampurnya gigi susu dan gigi tetap. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan ibu dengan persistensi murid kelas III dan IV SDN 22 Kota Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian ini bersifat analitik, desain penelitian cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel total populasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 26 Februari sampai dengan 2 Maret 2020 dengan 130 orang murid dengan cara melakukan pemeriksaan persistensi dan melakukan wawancara tentang pengetahuan persistensi kepada ibu. Terdapat hubungan signifikan secara statistik dengan uji statistik chi-square antara pengetahuan ibu dengan persistensi murid SDN 22 Kota Banda Aceh dengan p value = 0,000 (p<0,05). Disarankan kepada murid yang masih memiliki persistensi gigi agar giginya segera dicabut dan bagi ibu untuk dapat meningkatkan pengetahuannya.]]>

<![CDATA[Oral and dental health is a very important aspect of overall health that should not be ignored by everyone. The importance of increasing public awareness of oral and dental health based on government targets is very necessary to support Healthy Indonesia in 2030. The purpose of this community service is to increase public knowledge by conducting dental health education and practicing skills by brushing teeth together. Behavior in terms of oral and dental health is an aspect that must be considered because a person's behavior is very dependent on the knowledge they have. This community service uses lecture and interview methods. The target of this community service activity is the community of Lamlumpu Lhok Peukan Bada Aceh Besar Village, totaling 30 people. Before the education, a pre-test was conducted, then interviews were conducted with the community to measure their level of knowledge. The realization of this activity can increase community knowledge and abilities about dental health. The results of this community service activity show an increase in community knowledge about oral and dental health from 56,7% pretest to 83% posttest and DMF-T results with the number of respondents 10 people with moderate criteria (1-3). Based on the results of this activity, it can be concluded that there was an increase in public knowledge after being given counseling in the form of lectures and an increase in the correct way of brushing teeth.]]>
