Abstract

Background. Universities face challenges in improving the effectiveness of lecturer performance evaluation to support education and research development. Purpose. Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers the potential to optimize the evaluation process through automation, big data analysis, and smarter decision-making. Method. This research aims to identify and implement strategies for the implementation of artificial intelligence in lecturer performance evaluation systems in higher education. The main focus is to improve the objectivity, accuracy, and efficiency of the evaluation process, so as to provide more meaningful feedback to lecturers. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data were obtained through literature studies, interviews with education and technology experts, and analysis of existing lecturer performance evaluation data. An AI system was developed to process and analyze evaluation data by utilizing machine learning algorithms to provide more accurate evaluation recommendations. Results. The result of this research is that implementing artificial intelligence in the lecturer performance evaluation system succeeded in improving the accuracy of the evaluation. The system is able to provide recommendations for lecturer development based on a thorough analysis of their performance. In addition, the time efficiency of the evaluation process was also significantly improved. Conclusion. The conclusion of this study shows that artificial intelligence implementation strategies can be successfully applied in lecturer performance evaluation systems in higher education. With increased objectivity, accuracy, and efficiency, this system makes a positive contribution to human resource management in the academic environment. It also encourages further implementation of AI technology in lecturer performance evaluation to improve the quality of higher education.

Abstract

The quality of students in Indonesia must be improved in education, both general education and Islamic religious education and at this time students find it difficult to understand the learning material provided by the teacher. One solution to improve student achievement at school is through the Benime application. The Benime application is a social media or platform used to create various forms of very interesting animated displays with a white background or whiteboard. The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of the Benime application in order to improve student achievement at school. The medote used by researchers in this study is quantitative method, using surveys to students at school through google form. The results of this study are to determine the benefits of the Benime application in improving student achievement at school. The limitation of this study is that researchers only utilize the Benime application for one subject, and researchers hope that future researchers can do the same research but aim to develop the Benime application for learning videos.

Abstract

The implementation of the Example Non Example model in teaching explanatory text writing to the 11th grade students of UPT XI Akuntansi at SMK Negeri 5 Pinrang. This study aims to test the application of the Example Non Example model in teaching explanatory text writing to the 11th grade students of UPT XI Akuntansi at SMK Negeri 5 Pinrang. The experimental group used the Example Non Example model, while the control group used the demonstration model. This research employed an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was all 11th grade students of UPT XI Akuntansi at SMK Negeri 5 Pinrang. The sampling technique used was probability sampling, where each element (member) of the population had an equal chance of being selected as a sample member. Data collection was conducted through a test of writing explanatory texts and questionnaire distribution. The research sample consisted of 60 students, with 31 students in class XI.1 as the experimental group and 29 students in class XI.2 as the control group. The results of data analysis using hypothesis testing through t-test calculations using SPSS version 23 showed a calculated t-value of 4.477, while the t-table value was 2.001. This indicates that the calculated t-value > t-table, which means that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, the data analysis and hypothesis testing show a significant difference in the ability to write explanatory texts between the use of the Example Non Example model and the demonstration model. Therefore, the Example Non Example model has been proven effective in teaching explanatory text writing to the 11th grade students of the Accounting Department at UPT SMK Negeri 5 Pinrang.

Abstract

The research objectives of this study were all 44 eighth-grade students of SMPN Batu, Polewali Mandar Regency. The research was conducted in two cycles, with the following processes: (a) planning actions, (b) implementing actions in cycles I and II, (c) conducting research/observations during cycles I and II, (d) conducting a final evaluation of the cycle, (e) analyzing data from evaluation and observation results, (f) conducting reflection based on the analysis and student responses. The results of the study showed the following: (1) the average score obtained by students on the final test of cycle I was 74.89, and the average score on the final test of cycle II was 82.39. (2) student learning outcomes improved in each cycle. This can be seen from the data showing that the comparison of the percentage of learning completion and learning failure in cycle I was 90.9:9.1, while in cycle II it was 100:0. (3) learning using the demonstration method is very effective in improving the learning outcomes of Indonesian language students in grade VIII of SMPN Batu, Polewali Mandar Regency. From the results of this study, it was concluded that by implementing the demonstration teaching method at SMPN Batu, Polewali Mandar Regency, grade VIII, learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject can be improved.
