Abstract

One way to increase hemoglobin degree of the pregnant woman is by consuming guava juice and cereal. Tomato and cereal contain vitamin C which faster the iron absorption, while cereal contains high iron and vitamin C which can fulfill the pregnant mothers need. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of effectiveness guava juice and cereal giving toward the degree of hemoglobin of pregnant woman. The sample is 26 which divide into 13 for guava juice and 13 for cereal consumption. The design research is used Quasy Experiment with Two groups pretest-posttest design approach by using t-test. The result shows that guava juice is more effective to increase hemoglobin degree for the pregnant woman in Puskesmas Sukorame, Kediri. It is hoped, this research will give benefit for pregnant woman as an alternative to increasing hemoglobin degree. Keywords: Pregnancy, Guava juice, Sereal, Hemoglobin

Abstract

Nutritional problems for toddlers will arise if the food intake consumed does not match the nutritional needs of toddlers. Nutritional problems that commonly arise include malnutrition and malnutrition. The prevalence of malnutrition and malnutrition among children under five in Indonesia is increasing compared to 2010 to 2019. The number of children under five with malnutrition and malnutrition in Indonesia in 2019 was 19.6% and it is estimated that there are still 4.5 million children under five with malnutrition and malnutrition. less has not been detected. The aim of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of mothers of toddlers to use Moringa leaves as an additional food ingredient to improve toddler nutrition. Moringa leaves contain many nutrients and are a source of vitamins and minerals for the body, so they are good for use as a food additive for toddlers. This community service activity was carried out at the Posyandu in Kawedusan Village, Plosoklaten District, Kediri Regency. This activity provides health education and skills in making food menus using Moringa leaves to 25 mothers of toddlers. Evaluation of success was assessed by a post test given to mothers of toddlers. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in knowledge and skills about the benefits of Moringa leaves for mothers of toddlers with an assessment of knowledge and skills in the good category, namely 8% during the pre-test, after health education and skills in processing Moringa leaves, the post-test results were in the good category, 84%. The conclusion of this community service activity was an increase in the knowledge and skills of mothers of toddlers in understanding the importance of nutrition for toddlers and how to make toddler food menus using Moringa leaves. Abstract

Background: Vaginal discharge is one of the most common complaints among women of childbearing age or reproductive age, occurring in 80% of women aged 15-45 years. Women of reproductive age are at risk of increased incidence of candidiasis, trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, and bacterial vaginosis. One plant that is often used as an alternative to reduce vaginal discharge is betel leaf. In addition to being widely available in the home environment, green betel leaf is often used because of its low risk of side effects. Purpose: To reduce the incidence of physiological vaginal discharge in women of reproductive age. Method: A quasi-experimental study using a pre-post-test one-group method was conducted in January 2025 in Grogol, Kediri. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with a sample size of 16 participants. The independent variable in this study was betel leaf decoction, while the dependent variable was vaginal discharge. Data analysis used univariate in the form of frequency distribution and bivariate using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000, indicating that the use of betel leaf decoction has an effect on vaginal discharge in women of reproductive age. Conclusion: Betel leaf extract can be used as an effective, safe, and easy-to-apply non-pharmacological treatment alternative for women of childbearing age in an effort to maintain reproductive health and prevent recurrent vaginal discharge.   Keywords: Betel Leaf; Vaginal Discharge; Women.   Pendahuluan: Keputihan merupakan salah satu keluhan yang paling umum terjadi pada wanita usia subur atau usia reproduksi yaitu sebesar 80% terjadi pada usia 15-45 tahun. Wanita dalam kelompok usia reproduksi berisiko mengalami peningkatan terjadinya Candidiasis, trichomoniasis, gonorrhea dan bacterial vaginosis. Salah satu tanaman yang sering dijadikan alternatif untuk mengurangi keputihan yaitu daun sirih, selain banyak di sekitar lingkungan rumah daun sirih hijau sering digunakan karena resiko efek samping yang tidak berbahaya. Tujuan: Untuk menurunkan angka keputihan fisiologi pada wanita usia subur. Metode: Penelitian quasy experimental menggunakan metode pre-post-test one group, dilaksanakan pada Januari 2025 di Grogol, Kediri. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling dengan jumlah sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 16 partisipan. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah rebusan daun sirih, variabel dependen adalah keputihan. Analisis data yang digunakan univariate dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi dan bivariate menggunakan Wilcoxon test. Hasil: Uji wilcoxon menunjukkan p value = 0.000 sehingga dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh penggunaan rebusan daun sirih terhadap keputihan pada wanita usia subur. Simpulan: Rebusan daun sirih dapat dijadikan alternatif pengobatan nonfarmakologis yang efektif, aman, dan mudah diterapkan oleh wanita usia subur dalam upaya menjaga kesehatan reproduksi serta mencegah terjadinya keputihan berulang. Abstract

Background: Hemoglobin is made up of iron which is an O2 carrier. High and abnormal hemoglobin levels occur due to hemoconcentration due to dehydration. The number of red blood cells and hemoglobin molecules does not always increase and decrease simultaneously, for example, a decrease in red blood cells accompanied by a slight increase in hemoglobin levels or normal occurs in cases of pernicious anemia, as well as a slightly increased or normal level of red blood cell hemoglobin accompanied by decreased hemoglobin levels, occurs in iron deficiency anemia. Purpose: To determine the effect of mung bean juice on changes in hemoglobin levels in adolescent girls with anemia. Method: A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design was used. The study focused on adolescent girls at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Kediri. A sample of 40 participants was selected using purposive sampling and divided into two groups. Data were examined using paired t-tests. Results: Hemoglobin levels in the intervention group increased from 11.05±0.79 to 12.03±0.98 gr/dl after being given mung bean juice. The control group had an average hemoglobin concentration of 11.25±0.42 gr/dl before the test and decreased slightly to 11.20±0.62 gr/dl after the test, the intervention group showed a significant effect on hemoglobin levels before and after receiving mung bean juice (p=0.025), indicating a significant change in hemoglobin levels after the intervention. Conclusion: the administration of mung bean juice has a positive impact on increasing hemoglobin levels in anemic adolescent girls. Consider measuring ferritin levels and controlling participants' diets for more accurate results. College students are encouraged to regularly consume mung bean juice as an easy and affordable natural alternative to help increase hemoglobin levels and prevent anemia.   Keywords: Anemia; Green Bean Juice; Young Women.   Pendahuluan: Hemoglobin terdiri dari zat besi yang merupakan pembawa O2. Kadar hemoglobin yang tinggi dan abnormal terjadi karena hemokonsentrasi akibat dehidrasi. Jumlah sel darah merah dan molekul hemoglobin tidak selamanya meningkat dan menurun secara bersamaan, misalnya penurunan sel darah merah di sertai kadar hemoglobin yang sedikit meningkat atau normal terjadi pada kasus anemia pernisiosa, serta kadar hemoglobin sel darah merah yang sedikit meningkat atau normal disertai kadar hemoglobin yang menurun, terjadi pada anemia defisiensi zat besi. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh sari kacang hijau terhadap perubahan kadar hemoglobin pada remaja putri dengan anemia. Metode: Desain quasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Penelitian difokuskan pada populasi remaja putri di Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Kediri. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 partisiapn yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Data diperiksa dengan uji beda berpasangan. Hasil: Kadar hemoglobin pada kelompok intervensi mengalami peningkatan dari 11.05±0.79 menjadi 12.03±0.98 gr/dl setelah diberikan jus kacang hijau. Kelompok kontrol memiliki rata-rata konsentrasi hemoglobin 11.25±0.42  gr/dl sebelum pengujian dan sedikit menurun menjadi 11.20±0.62 gr/dl setelah pengujian. Kelompok intervensi menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kadar hemoglobin sebelum dan sesudah menerima jus kacang hijau (p=0.025), mengindikasikan perubahan yang berarti pada tingkat hemoglobin setelah intervensi. Simpulan: Pemberian sari kacang hijau memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kadar hemoglobin pada remaja putri anemia.   Kata Kunci: Anemia; Remaja Putri; Sari Kacang Hijau.
