Abstract

The latest study highlights the importance of the role of digital transformation in increasing the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, the complex interaction between factors influencing digital adoption in MSMEs in the creative economy sector is still unresearched, especially in developing countries. This study aims to investigate the determinants of digital transformation adoption among MSMEs, focusing on the relative influence of organizational, technological, and environmental factors. We use a quantitative approach by conducting a survey of 254 MSME owners and managers. The data was analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) to assess the relationship between variables. Our findings reveal that organizational factors exert the strongest influence on digital transformation adoption, followed by technology factors. Environmental factors, while significant, show a relatively lower impact. This study contributes to a more diverse understanding of digital transformation in MSMEs by emphasizing the excellence of the organization's internal capabilities. Our study shows that policies aimed at driving digital adoption should prioritize strengthening organizational readiness alongside technology support.

Abstract

Fixed assets are assets that a company definitely needs to run its business. Recording the acquisition of fixed assets and calculating depreciation of fixed assets is important to do correctly. This is because recording fixed assets and depreciation charges on fixed assets will affect the company's profit and loss. If the company makes a mistake in recording and calculating depreciation of fixed assets, the resulting profit and loss calculation will also be wrong. Business owners will think that their business is making a profit, even though if the depreciation of fixed assets is recorded and calculated correctly, it is likely that the business will actually experience a loss. If this type of misinformation is left unchecked, it will have an impact on the development and sustainability of the business. Such problems occurred in the "Pioneer Farmer Community" in Longos Village, Sumenep as a service partner. Partners do not have knowledge and understanding about recording and depreciating fixed assets in accordance with accounting principles, so the profit and loss calculations carried out by partners are definitely wrong. Therefore, this service aims to increase partners' knowledge and understanding of the procedures for recording fixed assets and calculating depreciation of fixed assets through outreach and training. Service is carried out through socialization and training. In the pre-test, the score obtained was 10.72 (for partner knowledge in recording fixed assets) and 5.76 (for partner knowledge in calculating fixed asset depreciation costs). After the socialization was carried out, partner knowledge increased to 56.56 (for partner knowledge in recording fixed assets) and 51.20 (for partner knowledge in calculating fixed asset depreciation costs) during the post-test.

Abstract

In the modern digital landscape, micro, small, and medium enterprises face significant challenges in reaching and engaging their target customers. This quantitative research study examines the impact of social media and email marketing strategies on sales growth in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Sumenep District. It focuses on the effectiveness of social media and email marketing in the current digital era, where digital marketing strategies have become crucial for improving MSME performance and sustainability. MSME managers in the Sumenep district were surveyed using a specially designed questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using statistical methods to identify the relationships between social media use, email marketing, and MSME sales growth. The results reveal that social media strategies substantially influence MSME sales growth by increasing visibility, customer engagement, and brand awareness. However, email marketing has not significantly impacted MSME sales in the district, possibly due to limited adoption among MSME managers. This lack of adoption may be attributed to factors such as limited knowledge, resources, or the perceived effectiveness of email marketing among MSME owners in the region. The findings suggest that investing in social media marketing can be a viable strategy for MSMEs in Sumenep District to drive sales growth. Besides that, email marketing may require further education and support to increase adoption and effectiveness. This study provides insights that can help MSME owners and policymakers in Sumenep District develop more effective digital marketing strategies to enhance the performance and competitiveness of local businesses.
